Well, ok, but what would be the point of that? I guess I should've put "will not transfer to your Vita in a playable format"
Unfortunately AFAIK there's no way, you can't share HVTs gotten through Near, the share button doesn't even show up when you beat the mission
Games like Sonic The Hedgehog 2 look so nice on the screen, makes me want to go through the game again.
Silent Hill Book of Memories is officially delayed:http://www.ripten.com/2012/03/24/konami-confirms-silent-hill-book-of-memories-delayed/ It doesn't bother me all that much personally as I'm sure the games I have - plus the PSP ones that I'm looking at getting - will definitely keep me busy, but its a shame nonetheless.
I was going to go out and buy unit 13 today then I read this now I'm having second thoughts as the mission of the day thing was one of the appealing features. Hope they don't shut down zipper as I'd love to see a few SOCOM games on the vita even if we have better fps games like call of duty I think zipper does a pretty good job with third person shooters and I liked tactical strike as well on the PSP. Have no clue what I'm going to buy now it'll probably be between unit 13 (still I do want a shooter), marvel v capcom or a bigger memory card.
I just downloaded Valkyrie Chronicles 2 bundle to my ps3 and then transfered it all to my PS Vita...You can put all of the psp games on the vita this way..Burnout Legends, Gurumin: a monstrous adventure are not on the ps vita download list but i still installed them as backups and clicked them and they play fine. Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics play without any problems(touch compatability would be nice) As far as Ps Vita titles go ,I am playing Rayman Origins(tons of fun)Escape Plan(not too Bad) Motorstorm is good if you liked the old school RC pro Am games.and pre-ordered Gravity Rush...should be awesome game.
On a differant note, I was looking for a good/cheap dvd to vita ripper and came across dvd catalyst 4 for 10 bucks.havent messed with it yet..been fooling around with handbrake but it does a terrible job removing ghost files and decrypting. What dvd rippers/converters you guys been useing to transfer some of your dvd collection to the vita?
Slant Six handled the last few PSP SOCOM games- so we may still get a Vita SOCOM even if Zipper goes down. Just because the developers might get the axe doesn't mean the series will.
I see your right it seems my favourite couple were both by Slant Six games and not Zipper guess I should pay attention more still that doesn't change my doubts about unit 13 but I think I'll buy it anyway just based on the lack of alternatives at the minute.
Yeah I highly recommend Unit 13. It can be tough, especially if you want 5 stars on everything, but having done about 20 levels, I'm not bored with it at all. Levelling your characters adds incentive to replay earlier missions, not to mention the daily + high value target missions. Sneaking about reminds me of Splinter Cell 1 (shame you can't hide bodies). But really, none of that would matter if the gameplay didn't hold up, which it does... weapons feel good and fun to shoot and character movement is fluid and realistic. The cover mechanic works well too... oh and the co-op games i've played have been flawless! Unit 13 sets a pretty high standard for TPS on Vita.
Yeah I bought it already but I've only played the tutorial so far, I bought a 16gb card as well so now I'm just checking my games are all working online I just couldn't stay happy with a 4gb card. I probably should have held out for a 32gb card but with them not being in the UK and me being impatient such is life. Unit 13 looks pretty good from what I've seen but I did die a few times pretty fast in just the tutorial still it should be a long challenge and once I've adjusted to the sticks I'm hopeful.
My scores are pretty poor compared to the global scores, even the missions I've 5 starred, which is disheartening ....but I'm generally much better than I was at the start. I've adjusted sens to about 40% which seems to have helped me lots. I also went for the 16gb... which I think is sensible for now as they're overpriced, and I intend to get physical copies of most games I buy. Add me on PSN if you want some easy scores to top
Phantasy Star Online 2 for Vita will be free to play. It's a shame there's no offline mode, but I'm still waiting for details about 3G support. Andriasang posted more screenshots, if anyone's interested: http://andriasang.com/con0e1/pso2_screens/
Great news! Loved PSO on the DC. Not pleased that it's free to play though, hopefully it wont be ruined by ridiculous pricing. Hopefully you can still grind for the best loot etc.
So I haven't touched my ipad or iphone to play any games since getting my Vita a little over 2 weeks ago... I think I've dumped about $150 into the psn store as well, which has been the only downside to this little adventure. I hope we see a lot more minis that are iOS ports for the vita, I like little consumable games like that and so does my wallet :O
Spent a lot myself (much more than I really intended) if it makes you feel any better so far my purchases are Playstation Vita Travel case 4gb card (technically free) Wipeout 2048 Fifa Football Everybodys Golf Uncharted Unit 13 16gb card to replace my now useless 4gb one I guess being an early adopter is just expensive but I'm enjoying everyone of the games I've bought and I'm very impressed with the hardware itself.
Anyone know what time games get released in the PS Store? Supremacy MMA is supposed to come out today and I was hoping to read some reviews :O
No idea sorry although I might be interested in that one myself just haven't seen many details of it as yet.
Glad to see I'm not alone, haha. Lets see, so far I've gotten: Uncharted (bought this when i bought my vita but its still shrink wrapped) Sony branded pouch that came with earphones, 4gb card, screen protector Ridge Racer + Gold Pass Unit 13 Dead or Alive Paradise (lol, i'm a sucker for doa) Ridge Racer PSP Metal Slug Anthology PSP 16gb Card to replace the 8gb that came with my vita, never touched the free 4gb 250meg 3g data pass + I've still got $32 bux in my PSN wallet, debating on picking up the GoW series --- Some iOS games I'd love on the Vita: Jetpack Joyride Super Crate Box Age of Zombies Shadowgun
