I bought the following screen protectors the other day... front and back protection. Though I assume you're talking proper case protection from knocks etc, I'd still highly recommend these protectors for when in use. http://www.amazon.co.uk/ElecSaver-Screen-Protector-PlayStation-Front/dp/B00751F0X4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331890114&sr=8-1
I had that! only down point was the bumper buttons were exposed-only hard case i have is the crystal custom case, and that doesnt even stand up for films etc Only use my 4gamers travel case now, dont have any screen protectors as they attract dust-my motto is just enjoy it! Lol as long as your careful with it it wont get scratches, mines in perfect condition and i use it 24:7 plonk it on the table/sofa and no scratches on rear pad either OH and heres the new Mortal Kombat gameplay trailer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone got Plants vs Zombies for Vita???? Thinking of buying it-is it different to the iPhone version?
I picked up that case that is basically like the one that came with the original PSP, except it has another flap to keep the vita from falling out. Its an official sony product, and came with a screen protector, microfiber cloth, a 4gb card (not sure what to use it for) and some really bad vita branded earphones. Pretty much all the free crap you got with the original PSP, lol. I wanted something I could put in my coat pocket, or toss into my computer bag without worrying my earphones or what nots are scuffing things up. Sure it wont protect it from a fall, but I'm pretty careful with my electronics in that regard, although I'd like to put a leash on it anyway. I picked up an old DS one with the thumb stylus for my 3DS, will prolly search for an OEM PSP strap for my vita.
I don't have it, but I'm pretty sure that it would be quite similar. Especially since the Vita has a touchscreen like the iPhone. Maybe they added some small features to try and differentiate all their versions, but the base of the game would probably be the same. Anyways, has anyone use this method to add PSP games to your Vita? So far I've got Echochrome and Echoshift (both unavailable on the Vita's PS Store) and they're awesome. I was hoping to find N+, but apparently it's only available via UMD.
Plants vs Zombies for the Vita has more content than the iPhone/iPod Touch version. The iPhone and iPod Touch version completely lack the survival modes plus I think some mini games and stuff are missing. Plus the Vita version has the new Zombatar feature where you can customize your own zombie who appears during gameplay with the flag. I think the survival mode is one of the biggest and best features of the game since it challenges you constantly to try and last even longer.
... Just played Uncharted on my lunch and wow, its freaking amazing. Had me glued to the screen for an hour no problem.
Ok, yeah. Selling UMVSC3 and Touch my Katamari and pre ordering MK. Also was that some sort of Fruit Ninja mini game in the video?
Yes it is. http://www.siliconera.com/2012/03/16/mortal-kombat-for-vita-is-rebalanced-has-fruit-ninja-parody/
Anyone else really into Star dust delta here ? I was looking for some tips on how to pick up 15 tokens in a single boost.
Thought I'd post this. I'm not sure how much merit there is to this but apparently it's a big deal. PS Vita Wins Prestigious Red Dot Award For Innovative Product Design "To be recognized for our commitment to product design by leading industry experts is a fantastic achievement for SCE"
So, I've been really getting into the more "hardcore" games for iOS, and have been a bit frustrated with iaps, bugs, having to always have the latest and greatest device, and a bunch of other things. I looked into the Vita, and it has me very interested. I know this is a really vague question, but with your experiences with iOS vs Vita, would you recommend the Vita?
Now take my opinion with a grain of salt but after having my vita for only a week, I love it! I have only bought one game so far and that Super Star Dust Delta and it is soooo good. I've played all the demos too and am trying to figure out what to buy next. That another nice thing about the vita, game demos give you a good idea before you decide to make a purchase. But for many of the reasons you listed I got a vita. I want to have a device that will be good for more than a year before something new comes along. Granted my ipad2 is still perfectly capable and I love i think you get the idea on staying current (look at the xbox 360, thats gotten peoples money worth out of it). Be prepared for more expensive games though ranging from 9.99 to 49.99. But in my honest opinion I think I've had more fun with my vita in the course of a week than I have with my ipod for gaming over 3ish years (barring a few good games like Lego HP and Infinity Blade). There are still bugs but thats impossible not to have on any system. Now I havent encountered anything personally but they are an inherent part of anything software related. Also there is DLC for games but in my opinion most of it is highly optional and not required. None of this paywall stuff, more like extra costumes for fighters etc. Go try a demo unit at a Gamestop or Best Buy if you live near one. That will hopefully help you decide a little more. Plus look at some of the upcoming games to see if any of those intrest you. Gravity Rush looks amazing and to me might be the system seller people are looking for(try the demo on a display unit or google for gameplay footage) Hope this helps! Let us know what you decide
.. So I can honestly say I was in the same boat as you about 2 weeks ago, I was addicted to checking for new IOS games every week. But I started realizing I play them once for 5 minutes then delete them to make room for more, bad habit huh! I would buy a good game for $8 or whatever only to see it go on sale to 99c 2 weeks later I hate that! Anyways I got my Vita with Ninja Gaiden and Uncharted, I love Uncharted alot alot alot! Ninja Gaiden is really good to! I recently got Unit 13 also and play the crap out of it, but you can also like me download games like FFT or God of War and games like that on top of awesome Vita games. The Vita is amazing and will only get more amazing with time and big name games like CoD and Bioshock. BTW I have a iphone4 and an ipad2 but I havent downloaded a single game since I got my Vita........ hope that helps!
Dude all i can say is, your name says it all (again) And i dont know what is was about ios gaming but very very few games actually got me immersed in the game. I bough FFT while it was on sale and i dont know what it is but i just cant seem to get into it on the ipod. Side note: FINALLY GOT ALL TROPHIES IN STAR DUST DELTA !!!!! Sorry for the yelling
