Got destroyed so many times in one of the secret levels --Feiser-- in Wipeout 2048.. Three hours and only made it to third place  But still, Class A is a beast.

I don't think there are any good games for the next few months. Only ones I'm interested in are Gravity Rush (June 13th) and ?

Maybe Mortal Kombat, Disgaea 3, Silent Hill: Book of Memories, or Resistance: Burning Skies?

Hopefully some interesting PSN only titles come out for the Vita as well.

Think I want all of those although I'll have to read more about silent Hill I fail to see how a top down game could be in anyway creepy or scary or very silent hill at all actually.

The fact that WayForward Technologies is working on it, gives me some hope that if it's not scary, it'll at least be good..

I had the exact same problem tryin to make purchases. I eventually gave up, went to safeway and bought a couple cards and had no problem at all that way. I think I'm going to just stick to that but it sure is a major failure on Sonya part to not have their purchase system worked out at launch. Doesn't inspire much faith that's fer sure.

On the katamari game: I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far. It's the first one since the original two that the designer at least understood the concept of how to roll. The iOS versions are horrible in that regard. Is the king even more hung in this version? He seems to have ....grown. :)

Where is pixeljunk's monsters? I can't believe that that is not available for purchase....was so lookig forward to seeing some of their stuff on touch devices. Whaaa!

Yeah, but, if nothing else, it's cheaper. There is a "get what you paid for" quality to that. The only issue is that I found touch control drifting in the iOS version to be broken. Beyond that, I don't think it was neccessarily bad. I just bought Ridger Racer PSP at GameStop for less than $6, even after tax. You can't beat that deal. Ridge Racer games continue to recycle the same courses, cars, and BGM. I thing is, I bet near all, if not everything, that you see in the Vita version is also in the PSP version, which is 7 years old.

I'd say the 3DS version is more of a sham. Ridge Racer 3D has two models for every car- one looks good with more polygons and higher res textures, and the other looks bad with lower polygons and super low res textures. The good car model is only used for the selection screen. The bad car model is the one that actually gets used. In the early screenshots, all the cars looked horrible like they actually look in-game. When people called Namco out on their game being "low effort", they replaced the cars with the better looking models in later screenshots- really misleading and kinda sketchy. It also had a low amount of tracks (though the Vita version has fewer), and the music was all bleh. There's a reason it's only $10-20 now.

Really is a shame, definitely agree about the PSP version having boatloads of content and Ridge Racer 2 even more so. The only really bad thing I could say about the PSP version is the powerslides seemed like they were on rollercoaster rails but it was still tremondously fun.

Just read this review of the American version.

Interestingly on the same site they have a LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes article under the Vita section, hopefully that means it's coming to Vita.

Searched the interwebs for hours about being locked out of PSN when it comes to purchases, I even called my bank. No charges have been declined, or even pinged the bank's servers from Sony's merchant account. So what it boils down to is Sony being extremely cautious with how they handle their transactions now, and according to the thousands of posts I read on the same subject, I'm locked out of the store for 1-7 days to prevent fraudulent activity.

I know exactly what triggered this too, I recently moved and changed my mailing address with my bank. This happened AFTER I signed up with PSN and made a few purchases (RR psp). The next purchase I tried (RR vita) did not pass Sony's billing info check when it pinged my bank - i.e. I had my old address on file with Sony and my new address with my bank. Sony automatically flagged my account and locked it. I can't complain had this been a fraudulent transaction, but it wasn't, so now I'm locked out of PSN for up to 6 more days :\

I can still credit my account with PSN cards until my account is no longer locked, at least thats what Sony tells me and from what I have read from countless others in my situation.

Just a heads up for those who run into the same problem I am experiencing.

    --

On an entirely unrelated note, I signed up for 250 megs of 3g transfer, which gives me another free 250 megs compliments of Sony when this expires. After checking my usage for it being idle and just turning the device on and off as i themed my start screen/background for a few hours, I burned about half a meg. I'd caution anyone who is paying for 3g to turn off 3g entirely when you're not using it, otherwise you'll get charged if you keep your live area updates on, as well as pinging your friends list/changing online status etc.

So I've been looking at getting a case and finally caved. I bought the Sony Vita Travel Pouch which is actually pretty nice but it is too big for me. I could fit another Vita in this thing if I wanted. I guess I can understand why they did it because there are likely customers who want to toss in the AC adapter and all that but I don't need to take the adapter with me just my Vita and a game or two.

I'm thinking about the Hori Hard Case. Anyone here have it?

Dont dont get the Hori Hard case. I was going to get it too but after reading about peoples experience with it on the web I didnt get it. Numerous people are complaining of a horrible smell the case emits. Kotaku even had an article talking about it and how the guy was worried his vita was gona start smelling bad too.

Though I doubt you'll be able to use the touch screen on the original, unless they update it.

I finally bought a case too! If you can call it a case... I bought the Sony Vita Carrying Case- the synthetic leather (aka pleather) one that can also be used as a stand (my favorite thing about this case) and it's not bad. My only gripes are that it doesn't cover the sides at all, and the way it holds the Vita can be a nuisance. What I really want is a firm soft case that has a clamshell design. It only has to hold the Vita, but a place to hold a few games wouldn't hurt. I have yet to see any cases like this that I actually like though. I had a Case Logic case like that for my PSP that I really liked: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-PSP-Game-Case-Red/dp/B001BRA94S/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1331856252&sr=8-12

Have a travel case myself it's functional and good quality but I kind of wish I had a case like my old PSP it was basicly a tough clamshell that also functioned as a stand I believe it was logitech but it held the PSP really well and stayed on even while playing.

Closest I've seen is the madcatz one but it doesn't seem to be anywhere close to the same quality. I think the whole back touchpad thing is going to make it quite a hard device to protect, despite loving my Vita I'm still not sold on the back pad.
