For some reason I was thinking that the last PSP GoW game was included with this, I have no idea why I thought that lol. Are those PSP games good?
Another Axiom Verge Vita update: http://www.axiomverge.com/blog/vita-status-update Looks like it wont come out in February after all, but at least they are still working on it. Game looks good and I love Digimon, but my Vita backlog is too big at the moment.
Yeah I bought Digimon for the PS4 but.... backlog. I got one less game out my backlog recently (Mortal Kombat X). With the XL version around the corner, I made sure I beat it. I would've just bought the XL Version whenever it came out but couldn't resist the Black Friday price of vanilla MKX. I'll probably finish Killzone: Mercenaries the next time I use my Vita. Trimming the PS4 backlog atm.
That's awesome! I was really hoping to be able to play this by my bday on March 1 but at least I know the release is close. I don't have a PS4 so I'm still waiting a chance to play this at all!
Hello, I hope everyone is well (and still around). Sorry I haven't posted here in a while. It's been too long. I still have both of my Vitas. It's kind of a love/hate relationship I have with them. The Vita is an awesome handheld with a ton of great games that I would not have played otherwise, but it has caused me to have such a backlog. I'm sure that 10 years from now I will still not have completed all of my Vita games. It doesn't help with all the limited physical releases which forces me to buy the game at launch. And yes I meant to say force, I have no say in the matter. I've played a few games over the past few months. One game that really stood out to me and caught me by surprise was Ar Nosurge. When it released I watched the trailer and thought it would be some weird low budget Japanese game. One day it was on sale on the PS Store and read the description and thought it sounded interesting. I went ahead and bought it. After starting it up, I realized it was the game that I thought would be horrible. Since I already coughed up the money I figured I might as well play it. I won't go into much detail, but I ended up absolutely loving the game. It's a turn based sci-fi jRPG. The story takes place on a large ship drifting through space. The people had to abandon their home planet and convert it into energy so that they could reach a new home world. Things didn't go as planned and they ended up having to live on the ship while it drifts through space. The story is relatively simple, but I felt it was kind of touching in a way. You end up following the story of two pairs of characters. You can switch between the characters at will, and it's interesting to play from both perspectives. The characters themselves I thought were done fairly well. They have pretty interesting personalities. One of my favorite parts were the "diving" bits, where you dive into a character's soulscape. Inside your partners soulscape you have to assist them in overcoming a fundamental issue. I found it to be a very interesting and enjoyable part of the game. Your responses in their soulscapes can actually influence their personalities. You will only really see the effect in battle dialogue, but it's still neat. The game also handled the fourth wall really well. I really liked how they handled it and haven't seen it done better elsewhere. The combat is relatively simple but different compared to most turn based RPGs. I really enjoyed the music in this game, which is quite rare for me. I must say there is quite a lot of dialogue. The game sort of feels like a mix of a visual novel and a jRPG. Overall, the game really surprised me. It happened to be one of my favorite games I played in 2015. Now I'm not saying it's a masterpiece or the best game ever. In fact, I feel as if most would hate the game. It is kind a low budget game, there's a lot of dialogue, it's very linear (which was a relief for me), and the story probably won't interest everyone. I encourage you all at least to take a peek at it if I piqued your interest at all. Anyways, I hope everything is well with you all. Does anyone else have a game they would like to recommend or at least mention? Also, have there been any newcomers since I've been gone?
I'm playing Ninja Senki DX and it's good and a great fit on Vita, but note that it is super difficult. I'm only up to stage 5 - stage 3 took me a while - and there's a lot of stages. It kind of plays like Mega Man, though it's linear and you don't gain new weapons. It's all throwing stars. Still it's good. For $5 I recommend it if you like this sort of game. Price is right.
Hi Anubis. I like the sound of that Ode to an unborn star but can't get a physical copy in the uk. Will have a look next time it's reduced on PSN I've been playing through Sao Hollow Fragments lately so I can move onto Lost Song. Plays similar to an MMO without the online bit. I.e. Upgrade, raid etc. Took a break for a bit of Hitman Go but will go back once I am done with that.
Good, good. Trying to go through last years backlog rather than buying new stuff is primary gaming objective at the moment, was doing pretty well up until this week. Played a bit of Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines last on Vita, was hoping for something a bit different from what it offered and found it didn't really do it for me, my offspring just get uglier and uglier and objectives are a bit repetitive. Other than that mainly Fallout 4 on console, warts and all I enjoy the theme dispite the rough edges and anticlimactic ending result - oddly looking forward to the revamped suvival mode. Need a good RPG on Vita so will check out your rec next time I see it on sale.
Speaking of forth walls.... Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1. Thats definitely my surprise Vita title for the year so far. Fun, entertaining, and funny JRPG! I never played the original game on PS3 but the Vita game is supposed to be an improvement/upgrade from the PS3 version. It is grind heavy but you have an opportunity to change the difficulty at a certain point in the game. If you don't change anything, expect to grind a bit. Currently working on Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z (Vita). I have Xenoverse sitting 3 feet away from me but I refuse to play it until I beat Battle of Z first. Finished DBZ. Edit2: Finished Killzone. Beat 2 Vita games within 2 days. I'm on a roll
Hey Anubis. I've been enjoying BoF3 recently on Vita. But mostly I'm totally locked in to Fallout 4. I just started playing it this past week and I'm properly hooked. There's this mechanic of salvaging parts and junk that's really addicting. Added to the superb game play of the open wasteland, RPG mechanics and interesting characters I must say this is the best game I've played on PS4. It feels cliché but I can't help it!
Are you grabbing the season pass before it goes up? I wasn't going to worry but duped myself into it, hell Pokemon robot collecting and a new island sound good to me though.
