Although it is much smaller on the Vita as a PSOne download and imo just as good (ok graphics aren't as nice). I think the Vita/PSone download is about 2gb

Thanks. Should be getting a fresh 32 gig memory card soon so I'll probably get it then.

Dont get me wrong - very good port, but I think the ability to choose when and where to grind is going to be huge. The Vita version is faithfull to to the PS version, so every 5-10 steps you are going to be battling.

So I'm about to order both Killzone Mercenaries and Resistance: Burning Skies from Amazon (only place where I can get stuff for my Vita at a non-collectors price), any opinions on both? (I've played the demo of Resistance, I thought it was pretty fun, but the same happened to me with a ton of games that ended up disappointing me so... a few impressions would be nice)

Killzone Mercenery is a decent game if you enjoy Killzone, probably the most technically impressive title I've played on the Vita and a good solid FPS. I enjoyed it more than 4 on the PS4. Highly recommend downloading the bot DLC if you enjoy offline multiplayer, plays well.

Resistance: Burning Skies didn't really hit the mark fo me but it's fine, I won't get into my dislikes as I don't want that to taint your experience. If you played the demo and enjoyed it you should like the full game regardless, it's pretty much showed up any flaws.

I have Killzone. I haven't finished it but really enjoyed what I've played so far. It looks absolutely stunning as well. Controls are very good. It's basically Killzone in your pocket.
Please post your imps on Resistance. I've thought about getting it but read some bad reviews on IGN and other such sites but I'm curious what "real" people think of it. It's the only Vita FPS I don't have. I liked it on PS3 so if it's good I'll pick it up.
You can always find great deals on EBay. I've bought the majority of my Vita games there. All new aside from Marvel Capcom 3. Usually their prices will beat Amazon, especially if shipping is included or only a couple of bucks. I don't have Amazon prime though so that makes a difference in shipping. Anyway, you can find some great deals on unopened games.

Edit: Actually I just bought a copy of Resistance on eBay lol. It was right at $15 with shipping. I'm fairly sure there was at least on more copy right around that price. These are unopened. I didn't check for Killzone, but you may may want to give it a look.

Though I also didn't finish it yet Killzone is a great portable FPS, easily the best one on Vita.

On the other hand, unless you care about trophies and want an extremely easy Platinum Burning Skies is a gigantic piece of crap, it's an insult to the previous Resistance games, all of them I played and liked / loved. Hell, even the PSP one was a million times better than that thing. Somehow it manages to be even worse than COD Declassified.

Oh boy, the opinions on Resistance seems to be really split, I mean, Destructoid (Jim F'ing Sterling Son did that review IIRC) gave it a 3 while GameTrailers gave it an 8 so I've got no idea on what to expect, also, it seems like Resistance went out of stock a few hours before I made the purchase, so I guess that I'll get something less polarizing, like Borderlands 2 (already own it digitally, but c'mon it's 5 gigs, that's the size of at least 3 Freedom Wars or Snake Eaters and that's without the DLC) or an overpriced 32 GB memory :/, who knows, I may even spend it tomorrow on a nice dinner, I mean, at least here at Mexico, the PS Vita accessories and games are completely overpriced or in really shrot stock.
Also, thanks for the opinions on Resistance BS (lol), I found the game to be decent, not a masterpiece, but a solid 6 or 7 from what I played on the demo, but hey, if I find a cheap used copy for a nice price I may give it a go, I've spent more on much worse things (Halo 4's Collectors Edition, Alien CM, extended guarantees at Best Buy, just to name a few), and yes, I love getting trophies, I'm currently hunting the platinum from MGS 3 :D

Yeah that's good to hear. I've had many RPGs started but far less finished unfortunately.

Well that sucks lol. Hopefully I'll find Resistance worth the $15 I spent. The only bad thing about eBay is that once it's ordered ya can't hit cancel like Amazon. The reviews are definitely all over the place so we'll see.
Any thoughts on Silent Hill on Vita? Eventually I want to get all the physical games...at least in the genres I like.

    Resistance BS.
Played. Earned short, easy ass Platinum. Shelved it ever since. Get it as cheap as possible.

Ouch lol! Is it really that bad? I watched some YouTube reviews. Some liked it, some didn't. I got it for $15 new and that's with shipping. That's the cheapest I've seen it. Hopefully I'll be one of the few who dig it. At least $15 worth lol.

Don't worry, the more people telling you it's horrendous - because it is - the more you'll enjoy the game. It's like my brother with the Mass Effect 3 ending, he heard me and other people talking so bad about that in the end when he played it was better than the catastrophe he expected (but still hated it).

Also, sometimes I think all of us end up for some reason loving bad games, I remember having lots of fun with Mercenaries 2 World in Flames a few years ago, and that game is absolutely terrible.

Beat Broken Age, the second half of the game was really rough. Really disappointed.

Just started up Trails in the Sky.

I actually enjoyed Mercs 2 as well lol. I still have a black watch cap that came with the pre-order. I think it just the destruction you could cause.
I just ordered the God of War Collection for Vita and I already know some reviewers say how horrible it is but if it's GOW I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I've watched YouTube footage of the games and they look ok. Not PS3 quality but quite good nonetheless. The same IGN reviewer hated Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus on Vita but I'm enjoying it.
I think you have a point. The more horrible a game is said to be, when you finally play it if it's not as bad as your mind has built it up to be then it's almost a good game. I've also played games where there have been nothing but rave reviews and I wasn't nearly as impressed as everyone else. I can't be the only one that has had that experience.

The God of War collection is alright. It's not the worst PS2 collection, but not the best either. As far as I remember the audio was pretty bad, and the prerendered cutscenes were awfully compressed, but the game itself runs and plays fine and looks pretty good (though it doesn't run at native res)

I loved GOW Collection on Vita. Though the problems Der-Kleine pointed in the previous post are certainly there the games are so f***ing good I didn't care at all.

I've got the God of War collection on Vita. I played some of the first game, but I found it frustrating and not terribly fun. I especially hated that crate pushing bit, where the crates keep exploding and you have to start over. Aggravating. I should probably skip to 2 and see if that's any more fun.

The games definitely have some unneccesarily hard bits. As far as I remember I liked 2 quite a bit more than 1, plus it has some pretty impressive setpieces.
