LOL! Who needs manual right? Freaked me out for a minute. Thinking of doing at least the trial PS Plus membership just to get Freedom Wars for free! I have SS coming on Monday but Freedom looks cool too.
Anyone played it? Soooo many games look great. I thought Axeom Virge was already on Vita. A bit bummed it isn't. Really wanting that one.

Because i have 3 platforms, PS Plus is a no brainer for me. For only Vita, dunno. However, they have had some excellent titles for free, and unless you are someone that likes to replay games, if you the subscription lapse, no big deal. I figure about 8 good games / year (good games, not OK games) is 5 bucks/ game A bargain in my book. But you could get at least 2-4 games that you know you want saving the money, so its a trade off.

My favorite arcade type game on the Vita has been Geometry Wars. Axiom Verge is very good, currently on sale I think. I havent played FW but someone mentioned it was one of their favorite games.

If Anubis ever shows up again, he also will have some great advice. I generally like puzzlers, so thinks like Fez, Stealth, Unmechanical, The Swapper are games i love.

Race the sun, Entwined, Resogun, TxK are great arcade type games on Vita.
Xeodrifter (too hard for me), velocity 2x are good shooters.

I mentioned a great sale (only $2) for both Draw Slasher and run Like Hell.

I am not sure but Don't Starve shows free for me, and it is a quirky, but excellent sort of adventure, exploration, survival game.

Lots of good older premium games - the God of War series is pretty good. And even the PSP ports of a lot of things are not bad, Castlevania, Final zfantasy (pretty much all of them), Chrono Cross and Trigger, Vagrant Story, etc.

Oh, did you get a screensaver cover? That is probably smart. The Vita does not use gorilla glass like Apple, so they are prone to scratching. I got a cheap one $2 and it is fine more than 1 year later.

    Have fun!

Freedom Wars is great, as far as I know it's one of the best Vita's exclusives and it's a really unique game with a slight Orwellian theme to it so yes, it's a must have for the Vita (Voice acting is only in japanese though) , also I'd suggest the MGS HD collection for the Vita (specially if you haven't played any MGS yet) and CounterSpy (I love stealth games :D )

Been playing BigFest this week, really liking it. It has some annoyances but it's fun to play and has a very unusual (maybe unique) setting, it's a music show simulator. Easy Plat and lots of Golds either for those who like it ;)

I have looked at getting this. So is it a "theme park" type game (without the rides of course) and does it require Internet to play?

Exactly, it's like a streamlined theme park in a music festival setting. It plays offline perfectly but you will want to go online sometimes to update the bands' vibe (it only updates online; the higher the vibe, the more xp / money you make, also required for some challenges).

I just finished Lara Croft Go on iOS and loved it. Is there anything like that for the Vita?

Ahh ok, thanks. Will pick this one up as looks like a decent price.

Any iap? I know it was originally going to be freemium. Not sure why they changed.

Just picked up Bastion for the Vita (fourth time I buy this game), I love the game and the port seems to be really well optimized (although I could bet it's running at somewhere in between the 30-60 FPS) but the controls or at least the default ones take a bit of time to get used to, so yeah I recommend it if you have a Vita and are looking for an amazing game with a killer soundtrack and graphics.
EDIT: Can't find any way to rebind the controls, so yeah, I guess I'll have to get used to them, and there's no manual aim.

Wow thanks! Loved this game on my iPad Air and for less than $3 I had to get it. Been thinking of replaying it iOS but now I'll just play it on Vita!

Nuclear Throne was released on Saturday too and it's awesome. Actually some people report slowdowns on Vita, but I haven't seen that yet. Or maybe it slows down and I just don't notice it? Great twin-stick rogue-like. Crossbuy with PS4 too.

Looks really good. I think I'll pick it up. Since it's a roguelike, does it have any perks or characters that you earn or do you just have to start over every time?

Anyone know if Axiom Verge is coming this year?
