I agree that a 64gb card is a good investment, long term. You could save for this and then look forward to the Christmas sales on the PSN which normally throw some cheap bargains at us. Plenty of room on your 64gb card then. That being said, Killzone is a great game but I haven't played Toukiden.
Killzone Merc if you want want a decent showcase FPS on your Vita, I found it more enjoyable than Killzone Shadowfall from PS4 as far as lore, bot DLC is also worth grabbing. Toukiden has a demo, it seemed okay but maybe a bit sterile? Not sure, extra content in Kiwami may make it worthwhile. If it were me I'd go Merc, but that is just me.
I'd like to get a 64 GB card, but I don't have the funds right now. I have a 32 GB and I still have to delete stuff to fit in new stuff.
So, apparently the only way to get a 64Gb memory card in Mexico is to get it from Amazon (64Gb memory cards aren't sold in Mexico at any retail store) and for around 160 dollars plus import taxes and delivery costs :/ so nope, I don't think that I'm buying one anytime soon
Nothing to add. That sounds like good advice to me! Without my 64GB card, honestly, I may not have kept my Vita around this long!
I have over 200hrs on Toukiden: Age of Demons. AoD is fun but lacks Monster/Boss Variety. A reskin of a boss monster does not equal variety. Theres a story but not really. Monsters attacking village, defend village rinse and repeat. Game gets pretty easy once you have the proper gear and a good setup. To be fair, it is a new IP so it won't be perfect right off the gate. Overall, I like it almost as much as Soul Sacrifice, and more than Ragnarok Odyssey (Ace). With that said, I'll be getting Kiwami in the near future and playing the superior game. Played Killzone but haven't gotten really far on it. Memory Card? I buy a mix of physical and digital games and my 64GB card is weeping. Get the highest you can afford. Even if you buy mostly physical. You gotta have the space, just in case! ya know what I mean? If I was in your spot, I'll go Kiwami>16gb>Killzone
So after reading all the replies, I think I'll go for a 32Gb memory card, not as expensive as a 64Gb model (and it's also available in Mexico ) and not that far from the price of a 16Gb memory either, after all, I have to still beat Freedom Wars so I still have more monster hunting left to do and I can get Killzone way more cheaper digitally (~$40 fiscal vs $20 digital)
Has anyone else played Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines? No spoilers as I've only just started but wondering what people thought of it, looks nice and seems to be a lot of options for everything which bodes well fo content.
It's your decision, but these games take up a lotta room, man. I'd go with the 64 and have no regrets if I were you! Just sayin'!
Finally started my Phantasy Star Nova (import) and I'll post some impressions later. One thing I will say though. Thank god the Vita is region free. I don't think my Vita would get much use if it weren't for that perk. Also, my copy of PS came with a 30% discount code for the digital version of the game. I have no use for it, so if anyone wants it, let me know and I'll send the code.
Sure! But are you sure I can access it or would I have to create a Japanese account and covert my ps vita to that? Not sure I can just swap memory cards and do it
Anyone here have played Lost Dimension already developed by Atlus. I highly recommend it. It's pretty nice game with a nice new concept.
You will have to use the code and purchase the game with an Japanese PSN account. Here is a guide I've found that can help regarding swapping memory cards if you have 2. http://thevitalounge.net/forum/threads/guide-switch-psn-accounts-on-vita.247/ 99.3% Japanese. There is some English, like at the title screen "New Game" "Continue" and "Option" are in English. And at the start of some quests. For example, whenever a boss spawns, you'll get a notification text to "Attack" it or "Avoid" it. All voices I've heard so far are in Japanese. Here is a GREAT guide I'm using to help me along the way http://www.bumped.org/psublog/phantasy-star-nova-guide/
Super Meat Boy is awesome on Vita, but my right thumb is raw from playing last night too long. Didn't realize you could use the bumpers for run instead of holding square. Going to give that a try tonight. If I can get use to it that should help.
After several hours in PS Nova heres my assessment. Note that its my first Phantasy Star game ever. Graphics: This jumps out at me the most. For a game on the Vita, they look really good. From character models to the enemies and bosses, they look damn good. Language: You're going to see and hear Japanese language throughout the entire game. There are little signs of English in the game but if you don't understand Japanese, you WILL need a guide to understand what to do. bumped.org has a great guide and I'm progressing through the game just fine. Performance: For the most part the game is very smooth. I have seen some slowdowns in a couple of instances though. Mostly seem to happen when there is so much going on at once (missiles flying around etc). While they are noticeable, it hasn't affected my gameplay. Gameplay: If you're familiar with games like Monster Hunter, Ragnarok Odyssey, Soul Sacrifice, Toukiden, you know what to expect in PS Nova. Start quest, kill monsters, gather materials for weapons and shields rinse and repeat pretty much. You have 3 classes to choose from; Swordsman, Gunner and Magician. I went gunner and I'm having a good time with that class. You can switch classes after a certain point in the game but so far I haven't need to do so. Combat is pretty solid. Theres a lock on mechanic so you can focus on a certain enemy (things can get hectic) but I rarely (if ever) use it (I've played SO MUCH Monster Hunter Freedom Unite that I don't even care for the lock on) You can take up to 3 Party members along with you on quests. They seem competent enough to fend for themselves. Healers for example will come to your aid or your party member(s) aid and heal them/you. I've noticed Ragnarok Odyssey plays similar to PS Nova the most out of the other similar games I listed. However, Nova is just better. Negatives? Right now, I honestly can't think of any other negatives. With plenty of experience of the similar games I listed, I do find Nova pretty easy overall. Seems to be getting more difficult as I progress but I still find it somewhat easy. I can be underleveled by about 10+ levels and manage it on a quest. As a result, Bosses AND Peons WILL hit hard if you're not careful. If you're around or at the same level, enemies aren't as tough. Summary: Fan of ARPG's and don't mind the Japanese language and like lots of content? Get it! At first, I didn't care whether if PSO2 PS4 got an English release or not but since I played Nova, now I'm hoping PSO2 PS4 gets an English version. SEGA pls.
I played this back on the Sega Dreamcast and loved it. As much as I do really want this I would rather have an English version. I would love this to be localised. SAO in the mean time!
Having to walk through a Japanese game like that with a guide sounds like a massive chore. I don't think I'd find it fun. A game like PuyoPuyo Tetris is easy, but an RPG?
I hear ya. For example, making a weapon or a shield requires materials. Obviously, everything is in Japanese language. So if I have to find a material, lets say something like this "マグネトアスの硬レンズ", I have to track down what quest has that material, which would be this quest; "鋼の荒野3 ★難:ラスト・デート". Then I have to cross check said quest between my game and this guide (and the English Translated one) and make sure everything matches up. It is a pain but I don't mind. For me, the fun gameplay and the fact that I can make progress makes up for all that imo. With all that said, I'm still on board with an English version haha.
