Ah I see thanks for the info. I have nothing to worry about then. I just checked the complete list of ps mobile games on Wikipedia and I've not one of them so that's good news for me. Thanks for the clarity#
Yea, from what I understand, it's just PSM that's affected. If you have any of those games on your device, you will still be able to access and play them if you activate it before Sept. 10th. Previously, content was automatically authenticated whenever it was connected to the Internet but this won't happen after Sept 10th. Steps to activate your device: Go to: (settings)>(PSN)>(System Activation)>(Playstation Mobile)>(Activate)>(OK) Simple as that. Good to go!
Can't say much about the swapper because I haven't played it but Battlefront 2 plays decently on the vita. It's an overall ok transition from the console version but really pales in comparison. The graphics are decent and the gameplay is practically the same but it's missing campaign. Instant action is where most of the fun will be had so if you're just interested in some pick up and play star wars action you can't go wrong. Even though the vita can utilize that second stick for the camera, there are no sensitivty options so the controls are a bit wonky but nothing game-breaking. You'll probably have a good time with it!
The Swapper is a good puzzle adventure game. Interesting story, although i have not played to the end, so i cant comment on the whole game. Put a few (5-6) hours into the game and liked the controls, graphics, puzzles, sound. I rarely finish games due to backlog, and new stuff available on multiple platforms.
The Swindle seems okay, movement and randomisation of levels could do with some work but brilliant art style and looks like a fairly good upgrade system. If you're into rouge-likes it's worthwhile researching. Edit here, the Vita version is a bit leggy and hack text is fairly unreadable, if you have a PS4 you'll get better results through remote play.
Is Monster Hunter on the Vita a good game? I have never played a Monster Hunter game, but for the crazy price of $4 i would certainly give it a try. Or perhaps Breath of Fire IV? I played other Breath of Fire, but never played that one.
Get Rainbow Moon ($4.50) if you don't have it yet. Great little RPG. Tried a few times but never could get into Monster Hunter games. Played Breath of Fire IV ages ago on PSP, as far as I remember it was average at best.
Monster Hunter is great! Played countless hours on my PSP and its even better on Vita (second analog stick for camera rotation). Cant speak for BOF IV.
If you've played a PSP game on the Vita you'll know what to expect. Unfortunately that was enough to put me off getting very far into it as I am a little shallow graphic-wise.
Hello , Vita pals. I hope all of you are well. I've been busy a bit lately, so the only game I have really been playing is Witcher 3. I feel like I haven't even gotten that far yet. My Vita hasn't gotten much love recently. I keep seeing good sales, but my darn 64GB memory card is full. It's probably for the best since I have a huge backlog of a gazillion games. I must reccomend Daganronpa for $16. It's a wacky game and may take a bit to get into, but it is a pretty unique Vita game. Well, let me know how you all have been.
I finished the Witcher 3 a few days ago and have now moved on to Metro Last Light Redux while also playing World of Warships for the past few weeks, I pretty much haven't touched my Vita either. Infact it's been slowly draining its battery in standby mode for the past few weeks since I needed a free power outlet to plug a fan in - sorry, Vita! With both Volume and Resident Evil Revelations 2 coming out this month that should change though, at least for a short while.
Speaking of stand-by - the vita has outstanding stand-by time! Way better than the 3ds especially. Very impressed with it.
I've been thoroughly enjoying Lost Dimensions. It's a super high quality strategy rpg. A big plus is that it's localized with English speaking oppose to just Japanese voice acting with English sub titles. So it feels much more official because of this and polished. The gameplay is pretty solid too! It isn't a grid based SRPG which I like as well, you have freedom to move and position within a certain amount of space. Anyway I recommend checking it out!
Mainly playing indies on the PS4, some whacky stuff. Giving The Witcher 3 a rest and playing some Borderlands Handsome Collection. I really don't enjoy the Aussie and Kiwi accents and makes some of the script come across forced for laughs (a Kiwi tech who says "brah" but is super brainy), but overall it's the backstory you never thought you wanted to know but are glad you did. Some of the extra mechanics are pretty fun too, looking forward to getting stuck into Borderlands 2 proper for the umpteenth time.
Yep, I think my Vita has been sitting here for 2 weeks, and the battery display still one step before being in the red. The battery life is pretty incredible in general considering it only has a 2210 mAh, had pretty much the most powerful hardware for a mobile device at the time and has a 5" screen.
