Definitely looking forward to getting Geometry Wars 3 on Vita. Have it on PS4 and it's a great game and should be an awesome portable game. I assume it's not cross-buy, but at least we get it free with PS+.
I keep hearing positive things about sfxt but there's so many games coming out soon which makes it hard to take the plunge. Plus I already have Mortal Kombat, UMvC and soon -- Playstation All-Stars.
Speaking of cross-buy games, I assume it was covered in the other 800 pages of this thread, but Rogue Legacy's Vita port is pretty great, and has cross-buy and cross-save with PS4.
Yep, we covered it a few months ago, I remember Anubis using his godhood to cheat the Platinum It's a really great port but when I played it I wasn't in the mood for a hard roguelike, will probably return to it someday if I ever manage to crawl out of my gigantic ever growing backlog.
Omg guys!!!! Zero Escape 3 just got announced for Vita and 3DS (def will get the Vita version though)!!! http://gematsu.com/2015/07/zero-escape-volume-3-announced-ps-vita-3ds This was really unexpected since the devs said they were fighting to get the game out due to lackluster sales in Japan (but surprisingly good numbers in the west).
Zero Escape VLR was a game I got through PS+ that I thought I'd hate but ended up absolutely loving, so I'm pretty excited for this!
You should be!! It actually ruined a lot of VNs for me coz 999 has one of the best plots in a video game. Virtue falls a bit short compared to it plot-wise. You should try Steins;Gate. The story is a bit of a mess but characters are top notch.
While I was gone, did Sony release the 500GB memory card yet? My 64GB rain out of space after that last flash sale. I seriously had to delete some of my PSP/PS One games. Also, does anyone know if trophies and saves carry over for different regions? Like say if I had the digital version of a game and imported a physical version from another region, would the saves and trophies be the same or would they be treated as two separate games? That was an awesome game that I may not have ever played if this community didn't reccomend it to me. The platinum wasn't too terrible, except one of the Remix bosses gave me trouble. I can't remember which one it was, but it felt more like luck than anything else. I thought someone else here got the platinum around the same time I did. Also, crawl out of your backlog. That's hilarious. The only way you could ever do that is by dedicating your life to the Vita. No more breathing, eating, sleeping, or any of those other useless functions.
1) Saves do not carry over. Different regions, different saves. Only exception I know is Sound Shapes where the cloud save is the same for all regions (pretty handy for trophy Spoiler whores hunters like me as you can autopop dozens of trophies in less than a minute). Trophies can carry over or not, depends on the game, some have different lists and others an unified one (e.g., Demon's Souls has separate EUR / US / CHN lists, Dark Souls has only a single one, Sound Shapes has SIX! - Vita, PS3, PS4-EUR, PS4-JAP, PS4-CHN, PS4-US). You can easily check it at sites like PSNProfiles. 2) Wish I could (crawl out) but I play in several platforms and my favorite games are frequently very time consuming (just spent 100+ hours on Witcher 3). TBH Vita is the least of my problems as it's collecting dust the last few months due to the absence of worthy games while the PS4 has seen lots of awesome ones (Bloodborne, Dark Souls 2, Witcher 3, Arkham Knight, ...).
Hey Anubis, i think there is a 1 Tb card due out soon - only costs $2000. A bargain!! Friggin memory cards. I have 3 16 Gb, and have to do the shuffles to play various games. memory is so cheap, why does Sony have to jerk us all around. There really is just no excuse.
For those interested in the Vita version of Geometry Wars 3, I did something slightly different with my gameplay video this time: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Geometry Wars 3 Vita is only 75 MB. Unfortunately I can't download it until I get home. Loved it on PS4 and can't wait to play it on Vita.
Do you mean the Snipe drone (which you get for completing level 30, which is the fourth boss level I believe) or the homing missile special drone abillity (which you get once you have 25 or more stars across all levels)?
Heh...heheh....heheheh.....heheheheh....heheheheheheheheh....heheheheheheheheheheheheheh.......HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!! I platinumed Bloodborne without losing my sanity. It was surprisingly a lot easier to platinum than I expected. It was a pretty good game and I really enjoyed my time with it. I also finished the story mode of Daganronpa 2. Those games are so weird, but I enjoyed them. Daganronpa 2 had some really interesting characters. I'm going to finally try the Witcher 3 since I preordered it but have never stuck it in my drive yet. For my Vita, I decided to start Hyperdimension 1 but I'm not sure if I'll get hooked by the game. The concept seems pretty funny, but the whole Japanese style seems a bit too heavy. I don't like having all the characters being child-like girls in skimpy outfits. Also, those eyes... They are the bane of me. Stylized exaggerated eyes have always unnerved. *shivers* has anyone else played this game? 1.) Ah, thanks for the info. I was hoping to import the physical versions of FFX, FFX2, and Soul Sacrifice Delta without losing my saves or my trophies. 2.) Well, you seem to be doing better than me. I now have a PS4, Vita, and a 3DS, each with their own backlog. The Vita is the worse because I have over 50 games on that alone. I haven't even had the time to beat most of them. I'm doing okay with the PS4. I've been picking up most of the deals that I have seen, but a lot of the games are remasters or games that I have played on PC. So I'm not in a rush to get to those games. Really? That's a bargain! I was planning to spend $2,000,000 at least! $2,000 is pocket change! Sony is something else. The Vita isn't the most popular console around, so they continue to punish those that actually support it.
New free update released for Helldivers yesterday: New bosses are super fun and a good challenge, you'll definitely need a team of good players using proper stratagems. One of my favorite games on Vita / PS4, too bad it has an unusual learning curve and takes quite a bit to really shine, I bet most people (like my brother) watch videos like this and go for the game expecting a standard dual stick shooter just to get utterly confused when they find you must have tactical and stealth thinking to survive the later levels.
Ruby boss is kicking my butt in Geom Wars 3. Those damn green guys that run away when you turn towards them, and attack when you turn away. Arrrggghhhh.
