Fairly disappointed the vita wasn't even mentioned during E3... But with sales going to hell & no U.S. developers actually doing anything I understand

    Guess who is back?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bW7Op86ox9g

    Miss me? No? Well then...

I do apologize that I haven't been able to rip out your guys hearts and devour them in a while. I'm sure your guys lives have been peaceful without me here, which I know how boring peace can be. I may have fallen into a metaphorical pit which is why I haven't stopped by in a while, but I learned that once you hit the bottom, the only way to go is up.

It feels as if it has been a while since I last posted, so I'm trying to think of some interesting things that have occurred game-wise. I did get a physical copy of the limited Retro City Rampage, which is neat since I love physical editions. I also now have over 50 Vita games (physical and digital), though I haven't gotten to play a lot of them.

I was also gifted a PS4. I didn't really want one previously and didn't think of purchasing one, but after I got it I went and bought Bloodborne. I haven't beaten it yet due to being distracted, but I liked what I saw. I also got to try out Remote Play, which was neat but a bit laggy.

I hope everyone else is doing well and still checking in here!

Sooooo, after months or waiting, I'm finally getting my Vita next week and so I'm getting a few games and I want to know if anything I'm planning getting is worth it (perfomance and control-wise) :

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath (got it on iOS, however I still want more bounty huntin')
    Octodad: Dadliest Catch
    Titan Souls
    Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
Borderlands 2 (bundled with the Vita I know, but I've read somewhere that the performance has improved since the lastest update)
    Gravity Rush

And please, recommend me some other games, I don't want my Vita to become just a fancy PS4 streaming box.

Some great games here. I also recommend......

Killzone (this is a must buy!)
    Final Fantasy x/x2
    Freedom Wars
    Persona 4

If you like co op also Helldivers is an excellent top down shooter.

There are many many others but these are the top ones Imo. Freedom wars reduced in the ps store I think.

MGS, Borderlands and Gravity rush are excellent games. A good choice with those. I got a little bored early on with strangers wrath but I need to play again. I haven't played octodad or Titan souls so can't comment on those.

    Enjoy....

Good to see you back Anubis - I thought maybe something not so good had happened to you. Funny how one can form a friendship attachment to someone who wants to rip one's heart out only to weigh it... but, what can I say? :p

Anyways, good to see you back. I think that everyone is a bit down with the continues Sony totally ignoring the Vita at E3, although it certainly still remains a very viable gaming machine.

I am embarrassed to say that I am most looking forward to the new Batman game coming out for PS4 next week though...

Re lag, try to make sure your ps4 is wired to your network, then everything should be sweet as butter. You should have a few native crossplay titles now too.

    Welcome back btw

I use mine for Remote Play a bunch, where "remote" means "on my house wi-fi." Lets me play Destiny at any time from anywhere, which is nice, keeps the TV free, means I don't have to be on the couch, etc.

Remote play is cool, just make sure you have good download speeds, upwards of 5 mbps. Also, to the new Vita owner, try out PS Now, like a catalog of over 100 games come with the subscription & you can rent games too, I recently had beaten dead island & Mirrors edge on Vita, very satisfying to say the least !

Dungeon Hunter on PSN is a pretty good pick up for less than $7 thanks to the flash sale. The star rating turned me off from it this whole time but at that price I couldn't pass it up and I'm glad I grabbed it!

From the flash sale I bought Bonk's Adventure. Not sure if I can transfer it to my Vita or not. It says it runs on PS3 and PSP. But there's no download for Vita. Is it possible to transfer it and if so how (for that matter, how would you transfer it to a PSP)? If not it's a not a big deal. I do have a PS3.

I've had luck with some PSP games transferring by downloading the PSP version to the PS3, then transfer that from the console to the vita.

You can indeed transfer psp games from PS 3 to Vita even if they don't show up on the Vita Store. This upsets me tho since I don't have s PS3 and knowing these games work fine on Vita.

Thanks I'm going to try PS Now as soon as it's available in Mexico (things arrive fairly late here so I'll wait) and I got my Vita finally the 24th (that was my birthday BTW) and so far I'm enjoying a lot the Vita,I've only got 4 games (I'm buying Freedom Wars this week even with the japanese only voice acting) and I wanted to give my first impressions to try and convince more people to go and buy a Vita, it's a really underrated console.
Borderlands 2 is massive, how everything got inside the Vita at a playable (most of the times) is beyond my knowledge, probably my only complaint is that it takes around 2 minutes to start up, I know, it's massive but, seriously?
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (Mostly MGS 3) is probably the best example of a really complex and amazing game that kinda doesn't fit really well on the Vita because, to be honest, this isn't a game for short gaming sessions, however it's really good and I'm digging it quite a lot.
NFS Most Wanted is also a good game even though I don't like that much racing games, however if you start a game with Butterflys and Hurricanes by Muse, you've got me and also it looks really good, a little low res but good with an insane amount of detail
And last but not least, Gravity Rush, oh boy, I love this game, it is a real system seller, I love how the game doesn't really feel like a traditional platformer and instead it's something unique and really enjoyable.
Overall I'm loving my PSVita, can't wait to try the Remote Play once I get back from my trip to Wisconsin (Business trip that served as a way to get my Vita at last) :D

I'm glad to be back with you all. Things got a little rough so I didn't really have time to check on this thread, but I really missed hearing everyone's conversations.

I never watch E3, so I don't know how much Vita stuff is usually shown. If I'm not mistaken, I think someone explained to me last year that Vita stuff is usually announced at an event called TGS, or something like that. I think it's a Japanese event, which would make sense since the Vita is popular in Japan.

I'm not much of a superhero fan, but I don't see what's wrong with being excited about a Batman game. I'm guessing it is probably out by now, so I hope you're enjoying it!

Oh, and the only reason I want to rip your guys hearts out and weigh them is because I'm sure that they are way lighter than a feather. ;)
