Is your Vita updated? And did you install the patch that downloads with the game? I am also playing it right now. I felt the games really opens up and presents you with cool ideas and mechanics at the final chapter sadly. I do agree I lost count of how many times I insulted the poor little girl because she wouldn't. effin. let me hold her hand to drag her. So I just made her stumbe afterwords to get my revenge. It's a neat small experimental game but in no way worth 15$. Good thing I got it for free.
I can't remember, but I think when you download a game you get a download of any patch too, so I would think so.
If anybody's still interested in Helldivers, here's 3 new objectives that are coming with the upcoming free content update: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVYvoKSAs7E&feature=youtu.be
Allow me to disagree but I found Murasaki Baby to be a gigantic pile of crap, and that's coming from someone who usually likes indie games. Horrendous controls, save errors galore, incredibly annoying sounds, etc. Thank God I didn't pay for this.
The upcoming free Helldivers content update is going to include 6 new trophies in addition to thenew environment, new enemies and new objectives. Here's the last developers update video on the new environment and where they mention the new trophies: http://arrowheadgamestudios.com/helldivers-turning-up-the-heat-environment/
Free update was released yesterday. New environment and enemies are cool, some of the objectives while also being neat are a bit of a pain in higher difficulties. All new 6 trophies are easy but the silver one is a massive grind even for someone who played the hell out of the game like me, the other 5 took me less than an hour to get. TL;DR: A great game becomes even better
Just got a PS TV for 40 bucks, the Vita screen has been drying out my eyes a bit and with this maybe I'll get more use out of my Vita games. The ones that are compatible at least.
PSN is having a flash sale. Mass Effect trilogy is only $4.80 for PS 3 and Vita. I am assuming it is cross buy. Anyone play Mass Effect on the Vita? Any good? I would think it might be hard to play with the much smaller screen. Great trilogy for the PS3 although i have them all on disc.
I saw it on Slickdeals and followed the link - and it is only for PS3... so the poster on slick deals messed up. Damn... Just to point out that there are a bunch of great games that include DLC for PS3 - For instance the Mass Effect trilogy comes with DLC and is $4.80 for all 3 games. Many other great deals. Also deals for Vita and PS4 but those are much fewer. However, Terraria is < $5 for instance. Wolf Among Us is $5, etc. Worth checking out IMHO. All digital though.
[Off Topic Rant] Yeah, you really can't argue with the value you're getting for that price, it's a great series. I just wish they'd actually discount the DLC for the people who own each game in the series on its own on PC. I own all three games separately on PC and the way you have to buy DLC for them is frankly ridiculous: You have to go to BioWare's website, purchase a set ammount of BioWare points and use those points to buy a code for the DLC on their website, which then unlocks the DLC for your BioWare account: Basically the Mass Effect games on PC not only have incredibly overpriced DLC (basically none of the major DLC has been discounted at all ever) AND you have to go through literally the worst system to get it. One would think that EA would have at least had the common sense by the time they released Mass Effect 3 to sell the DLC via Origin... Because of that I'm basically never going to play any the major expansions (the ones which weren't free) for that Trilogy. Hopefully they don't continue that Trend with Mass Effect 4.... [/Off Topic Rant]
Bought SS Delta, Freedom Wars, Peggle 2, and The Wolf Among Us yesterday from the flash sale. Good stuff.
Mass Effect Trilogy would be my all time favorite games if not for that incredibly bad lame disastrous insulting EA's-hurried ending. Wolf Among Us sale is only for PS4, still $25 for Vita.
I liked Mass Effect 1, thought ME 2 was an all time great, and then the whole thing with space exploration in ME 3 totally turned me off to the point that I quit playing about 1/2 way through. I remember all the hoopla about the ending and I guess they came out with a new downloadable one. It will be interesting to see what they do with ME 4. Although i will probably not pre-order it just due to what they did with ME 3. Wolf Among Us does go on sale pretty frequently is seems for the physical version. Amazon has it for $15. But, I know what was just a correction. I have not purchased anything through the sale - have too much of a backlog that I have not played. Anyone hear from Anubis? He has been gone a long time.. Hope all is well with him.
Funny thing, I finished Mass Effect 3 for the second time today (I did play it once when it was originally released). I'd say the game gets a bit more hate than it deserves, while the ending is absolutely awful in the sense that none of your decisions matter and probably isn't that gret of an ending for a series, it really isn't that bad. It's just kind of disappointing. The game did have by far the best gameplay in the series, a surprisingly decent multiplayer mode, and probably the best soundtrack as well. (Seriously, these two songs (which aren't part of the official soundtrack) are just incredible IMO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdZTOKmUuiA, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ib85b_sLD8E) In the end all games in the series have their own issues - ME1 was kind of janky, the class system in ME2 was incredibly limited in terms of weapon loadouts and the customisation wasn't that great and Mass Effect 3 has a bunch of bad design decisions (why is whoever that was from IGN in the game? Why is the most potentially interesting character locked behind IAP/the special edition?) and feels kind of linear compared to the other games. All in all though, I think that ME4 has the potential to be pretty great though. A new time period and main character should help keep things fresh (along with the game being made for newer hardware), and it sounds like that game will be a lot more about exploration rather than shooting through levels with tons of conveniently placed cover. PS. Don't pre-order games. At least not until a lot is known about them. (Hey, I've got to find some kind of exuse for that sentence since I pre-ordered the Witcher 3 yesterday...)
ME3 was a great game up to that unbelievable star child ending. Combine it with the also very disappointing Dragon Age 2 and I lost my faith in Bioware. They partially redeemed themselves with the (awesome) DA Inquisition but I'll still be wary with any game coming from them in the future. Yeah, pre-ordering games is a stupid thing to do these days but I also couldn't resist Witcher 3, just finished reading the last book and it was amazing. Third game seems to be all about Ciri / Yennefer, I'm pretty certain you would wish to have read the books first as they're major characters there and as far as I remember completely absent in the first two games. Ciri is almost the main character in the last 2 or 3 books.
HAHA. I preordered Witcher 3 months sgo, since i knew that Bloodbourne was too hardcore for me and i wanted something new for the PS 4. Glad that i guessed right. But, in general, i almost never pre order anymore.
