I don't use steam but I am an iOS user as well as PSN. It can be frustrating knowing some of the differences. I managed to pick up Broken Sword when on sale so didn't pay much for it but I am a bit annoyed with the Broken Age price.

I think it's not that The PSN is too expensive it is just that the iOS version is too cheap. We have got so used to iOS prices over the last few years I think we now deem console prices expensive. If there had never been iOS in the first place £19.99 for broken age would be considered cheap for a "console" title.

I totally understand. I have Steam for indie point-and-click games that will never see the light of the day on any other platform, and I don't even own any home console. Everything portable is excellent for me.
You backed it coz tou're a fan of Double Fine or coz you liked the idea behind the game? I don't think I could ever back kickstarters after the lack of management and greediness devs have shown...

So right. Even Super Steam sales have spoiled us when it comes to digital sales and prices. 20$ really is nothing for a full fledged game, but I do take into consideration how old the game is, and how much additional content is added. I think the ones who aren't getting prices right when it comes to digital are Nintendo. They're handling VC games really bad and give no incentive for gamers to get them the legit way and thus will not be able to compete with mobile.

Shovel Knight bought - beautiful game and wickedly hard for me. I don't have the skillz that I did 10 years ago.. my reflexes are so slow.... but will continue to try, and I can always have one of my sons get a high score for me and claim it for my own. :D

I've looked at shovel knight but not picked up yet

Tempted to pick up child of light and take advantage of the Star Wars sale with Battlefront 2.

Has anyone played Damascus Gear? It snuck onto the store this week but haven't seen much about it. Any good?

HAHAHAHAHA!!! Aw you're officially an inspiration to me now. Keep at it!
Also is it wrong if I pictured you saying that sentence like Dick Solomon from 3rd Rock From The Sun? I donno I just read it like that and cracked up.

I don't take offense if people are not meaning to give offense. I am embarrassed to say that I don't know who Dick Solomon is... My wife and kids watch and love that show, but somehow it never grabbed me the same way.

I never missed an ep when I was a kid and Dick Solomon Is one of my favorite TV characters. The actor is amazing in playing an alien trying to get a sense of human life, and discover the meaning behind human relationships. So whenever I read some wise truths about life in general and things like that (in that case your statement), I just imagine Dick saying them and crack up. His comic delivery is excellent.
Plus I respect you too much to be offensive ^^

I must say Iam enjoying Firefly Diary a LOT! Sure the puzzles are not that hard and the controls need some getting used to, I am just having a blast pursuing the trophies for completing stages unharmed or without touching the ground a single time etc. but I can only recommend it when it gets discounted to 5-6$ max for you guys. I feel it's not your type of game.

Grim Fandango gets a launch on iOS at a discounted launch rate. Steam version goes on sale so I hope the vita version is reduced today for a week.

Have not picked up yet so will get today if it is reduced...... In fact, just checked PSN and the price has disappeared from the game and Grim Fandango doesn't come up in a search so I guess they are in the process of revising.

So I am going to get Grim Fandango on the reduced PSN member rate, well I will when it comes back to the vita store. It has disappeared at the Moment. May have to get on the PC store and then download on the vita.

I am thinking of getting one of the other reduced games. Recommendations please?

Star Wars angry birds - I know what this is.
Valhalla Knights 3 - looks good but didn't get great reviews.
Earth Defense force 2017 - I have freedom wars already so not sure.
Odd world munch's oddysee - don't know anything about this one.
Child of light - looks good and got good reviews.
Home - looks like lone survivor which I already have.

Any of the above worth getting or shall I go for suidoken?

Yeah I always use the desktop version coz it's more practical and clearer to browse.
I can definitely recommend Child Of Light. You'll love the innovative battle system and it's kinda short for an RPG (like 15-20h) so it doesn't need that much commitment.
I don't recommend Home. Yes it does give a Lone Survivor vibe, but the puzzles are suuuper easy, very very short and the story (I felt) doesn't lead anywhere. Check more user reviews here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/215670/
haven't played the others so maybe someone can help you with them.

Second the Child of Light recommendation. Silly story but fun gameplay, great graphics and awesome music.

Are the two battlefront games on the PS store? I'd surely pick up a Vita to play those!

Do you mean the Star Wars ones? I picked up Elite Squadron last week. (Psp game) Not properly played it yet. No other battlefront games on the Vita.

    Thanks for the recommendations.

This system just lacks so much compared to my 3ds. Idk, I find it has worse games for me really. Even thought he 3ds is more kiddy than anything.

Murasaki Baby is pretty good. It's buggy and the touch controls are temperamental at times which got frustrating, but it's short and an easy 100% if that matters to you. That makes it sound worse than it is. It's pretty fun and since it's free with Plus you might as well play it.

The worst bug was that at about the 2/3 point, it started giving me save errors every time it tried to save. I was able to continue and finish the game, but you wouldn't be able to switch games at that point.
