Has anyone got Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines? It came out today on PSN as a digital only release. Looks to be really good and so far have pretty high ratings from reviewers.

Most dearest Anubis : I am not sure I can adequately define that term for you. How do you percieve it might apply?

On topic : mostly playing 3DS these days, specifically the 2 Legend of Zelda games. Abou 1/2 way through The Swapper which is an excellent puzzler/platformer.
My biggest frustration with games currently - timers. Time is the easiest, cheapest way of introducing challenge to a game/ puzzle. Is there no creativity out there to continue a high level of challenge without introducing a dimension of "how fast can you complete this" into games / puzzles?

Sorry for the rant. Anubis - you know i think the world of you, although i wont give you my heart for weighing, or otherwise. Love your comments and i think that you are one of the main drivers of this forum currently.

I have a 3DS and won't touch that forum. I monitored it for a while and noticed that people often do not reply to each other. That forum also lacks the people that are here.

Too bad this thread will turn into a ghost town once Shovel Knight releases.

Ha, I was making sure you weren't trying to be sneaky and call me stupid. I'll give you a pass.

I just finished completing LoZ: OOT not too long ago. Even after all these years, that game is still charming as ever. Out of curiousity, which two LoZ games are you talking about? I'm guessing OoT and MM.

I personally hate timers in games. I'm okay with it recording your time and showing how you did compared to others, but not making you fail hot being slow.

You didn't really go on a rant, so no worries there. I'm sure if I weighed your heart now, it would make a feather feel like a brick. Thank you for not calling me fat like some people here...

Also, I do agree I'm one of the main drivers of this forum... Who drives people far away to where they never return. ;)

I haven't seen you here before. Welcome fresh meat! Uh I meant friend. Welcome friend

I saw that game on the store, but didn't really know what it would be like. Now that I think of it, I don't think the store had any screenshots for the game. I just bought La Mulana and Helldivers anyway, so I'll probably pass for now. If you try it, let us know how it is.

By the way , when does this Shovel Knight release?

The new couple months looks awesome for vita! Helldivers, Titan souls, bastion, shovel night and a few others. What games in the sping sale are you going to get?

Were you talking about Majora with the timer discussion? On one part I disliked OoT a LOT (dungeons are some of the best but hated everything else) and people say it's very similar to MM, and on the other hand it's a cult classic and no respectable gamer would pass up the opportunity to try it. It's just that I can't "function" well under perma-pressure so would welcome any imput from those who are playing it/played it.

By the way I bought Mousecraft (on sale for 7.5$ on PSN) and it's awesome. It's sort of a cross between lemmings and Tetris and it has a lot of charm. The puzzles are really challenging too. Sort of MariovsDK but with mice and cheese.

Helldivers is great (so far I've only played on PS4). It is very much a multiplayer game. I don't think it's that fun solo. It's all about playing with friends.

How did they map the controls on Vita? On PS4 it uses bumpers and triggers, so they've got use the back touchpad or touchscreen, but which ones did they put and where? I haven't cleared enough space on my card to install it yet.

    The Vita touch controlls are:
    - Tap bottom the bottom right of the touchscreen to toggle sprint (which works well)
    - Swipe down on the right side of the rear touchpad to reload (They should have mapped that one to the top right of the touchscreen, as it stands it works. kind of.)
    - Swipe down on the left side of the rear touchpad to throw a grenade, swipe and hold to throw it further (Let's just say I don't use grenades all that often partly because of this)

So overall, it's not great, but it works. There's definitely still room for improvement. Still, I'm having a lot of fun, and in the end that's what counts!

This is definitely a game that needs to be played in coop, playing with random people online works fine as well though.

The sprint part sounds better actually - I don't like the press in L3 to run that many games including this one use. But otherwise, that really doesn't sound great. I'll try it at some point, though.

Yeah, playing Ocarina and Majoras Mask. Funny that you were just playing Ocarina. I dont think Twilight Princess is on anything other than Wi.
I have all the original Gameboy, GBA, and DS zeldas, as well as the SNES, N64, and Gamecube except windwaker. The cartoon type graphics turned me off for whatever reason.

Majoras mask actually has plenty of time, so more related to games with levels and the darn timers make it difficult to explore, collect all the goodies, finish the level, etc. i wasnt really thinking about a paeticular game, just a general feeling that so many (usually ios) games are tied to a timer. The handhelds, consoles are actually pretty good.

That reminds me, I still need to rob you. Uh, I meant visit. I need to visit you.

Windwaker was actually pretty good. I remember the change in style was prettying jarring when it came out, but I'm glad I got past it because it is actually pretty good. Twilight Princess was also available on the GameCube. That's the system I played it on.

Edit: By the way, you may want to pick up A Link Between Worlds for the 3DS. I heard it was pretty good, but it seems Nintendo stopped printing copies. I grabbed the last copy in my area, and I noticed prices online were rising. It will probably end up in a similar situation as OoT, where new copies are selling for almost twice the retail price.

Thanks for the video Der-Kleine. It was great as always. I know I originally said I had a feeling that the Vita version was going to be a bust and that I was going to wait for your video before buying... But I lied. Luckily, the vita version runs great. I haven't gotten any FPS drops or lag with a full group.

What?!? You didn't like OoT?!? I just played through it again on the 3DS. I was originally afraid that the game wouldn't have aged well after all of these years, but it was as charming as ever for me. Out of curiousity, what was the other stuff you didn't like about it? Also, don't worry about what other people think of your opinion. It is your opinion to make. Any respectful gamer would understand people have different tastes, and not everyone likes the same thing.

I personally liked Majoras Mask more than OoT, but I remember being in the minority. I guess I just enjoyed the whole style and theme of that one. The game didn't take place in Hyrule, there weren't any prophecies, Clocktown and its people were wacky, and there was just a general feeling of despair. In a weird way it was just comforting for me. The "timer" isn't very oppressive since you can go back in time, slow time, and even skip ahead. I definitely would give it a whirl, in my opinion it is quite a unique experience.

I loved OoT's dungeons and master quest versions of them since Zelda games tend to be on the easy side, but found the overworld so empty, and couldn't get into the story and characters. My faves have to be the oracle games and the Minish Cap. I guess I'll get MM eventually when it gets a sale. Thanks pluto and Anu.

By the way I tend to forget Vita is getting a Shantae game this year. I remembered when Wayforward announced their birthday sale this week. Mighty Flip Champs is gonna be free on PSN next week I think.
