There's my monster jerker! I've been looking under every rock I've come across trying to find you! Why did you have to describe the game like that? Now I want to try it but I'm trying to keep my wallet locked up. Grrrrrr.
Best game on Vita sale is a PSP one (Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles). Do yourselves a favor and go get that one, a mobile Symphony of the Night is a priceless thing.
great! thanks. it looks like that and brandish will also join the cart. (i have $66 is my PSN wallet that i got for christmas so really this all free. )
Sorry dude! Not sorry though because you deserve the wallet beating. But you also deserve the excellent gameplay. Do it now, mega ass! Lucky sob!
I've heard you all talking about EDF a few times... But I really have no clue how it plays or what it is like. Too bad they don't have a demo. Haha, I... Must... Resistttt! Thanks for making me laugh, monster stroker!
So anyone think Playstation is makin' anymore handhelds after this? I mean well the device hadn't been out that long and Playstation has (kind of) gave up on their handheld systems. Pulled out the ol' PSP recently and the PSN Store is officially done, no special sales or anything. I was told to use the PSN site so I'm assuming that I'd have to transfer the games from a PC. Time for some custom firmware, I was holding off from it for a LONG time.
I think they will but not for awhile, and I think it'll be a complete rethink of the type of machine it is and function it plays in the console and handheld space. If Sony are really going to focus on their Playstation brands as a whole I think you'll see a more refined, more cohesive gaming eco system.
Agreed. Vita has a loooong way to reach full potential in terms of sales and games. Nintendo has a faster process of device revisions than Sony. So yeah I think Vita has at least 5 more years under its belt, while I give N3DS like two more years before next gen. I also agree with you on the direction Sony is taking with their brand: a more unified platform. But I do hope handheld gaming stays because I hate gaming in front of a TV tbh. Finally it's a natural thing for the PSP to lose PSN. Even the DS's WiFi is interrupted. Makes sense to push gamers towards newer models and cut costs.
Yeah I think they'd be foolish to drop handhelds, there's definitely a market there but they do need to somehow make development of larger games more cost effective and less risky for developers. Some kind of parity in the development process for handheld and console which makes it easier to pull off developing for two platforms in conjunction with one another.
You're totally right. Nintendo was actually talking about that last month I think? They stated they wanted to attract more and more mobile devs and mobile style games to their consoles. So next gen's hardware will totally cater and try to make it easier for devs to port their games. Sony is already doing that with all these indies and ports coming over to Vita. I'm really glad about it since I can play them on the go. I have so many Steam games that I want on my Vita...
It's kind of funny you all bring this up. The past few days I've been wondering about the future of handhelds. I'm sure Nintendo will make a new one, but I'm not too sure about Sony. While I am enjoying my new 3DS, I wouldn't want Nintendo to be the only competitor in the handheld market. I loved having a PSP and a Vita. If Nintendo can compete with the hardware they currently use, imagine what it would be like if they didn't have to compete... "Here is our new handhelds, it sports a 4p screen!" "Excuse me, do you mean a 4K screen?" "No, a four pixel screen. You can barely notice the difference between ours and a 4k screen."
I just wanted to stop in and say that I played EDF for 6 hours nearly straight yesterday. It was a good day. Carry on.
Haha, I'm very curious about that game. I've heard a good bit about it but still don't know what it is exactly or what the goal is.
The goal is simply to kill the invading aliens. It's a fully destructible open environment and you continuously look for better weapons to kick alien ass. The weapons are a lot of fun and I can't get enough of destroying every building around me. There are ridiculously huge ants, spiders, and robots. It feels like you're playing in a really bad scifi B movie, which is great. It's far from a perfect game but the mechanics are highly addictive and fun. I would recommend buying it while it has a big discount since it's normally $40. At $12 or even $20 it's a great great buy. It's cheesy but in the best way possible! This game should come preloaded on every ps vita. I'm for real, yo.
Ha, thanks for the info. I don't have Plus so it would be $20 for me. Do you walk around and pick up weapons? Or do you permanently unlock them?
Yeah you walk around to pick up permanent unlocks for weapons. You can take any two weapons into battle. You unlock more as you play and you get better weapons the higher the difficulty.
