Yes. And I still don't get the hate for a portable legit borderlands. I had a great deal of fun with it.

The best versions of BL are on PC if you want to try it out.

Has anyone else here played Kick & Fennick?

Because I'm still kind of impressed by how colourful that game looks on the Vita 1000's OLED screen. (It's a serious case of "dat OLED")

I have had an absolute blast with BL2 on the Vita. I never had a chance to play the PC or console versions and I'm sure that's why. Yes the framerate takes a hit, but the fact that there's a game on my portable that I can play on the go, that blows my mind.

I wish the Vita were more successful and more games like this were released.

Borderlands probably was one of my favorite shooters last semester. Borderlands 2 improved a lot of things from Borderlands 1, though Borderlands 1 is still awesome.

I personally love the art style of Borderlands 2, and it looks great on PC. There are a ton of locations that are greatly varied and have different themes. There are tons of different enemies with different behaviors and different elements, which makes them a bit more interesting.

The characters are great and varied, and the dialogue can be quite humorous. There are also a ton of references in the game. The overall story is actually pretty interesting for what it's worth.

The playable characters all play differently and they all have 3 skill trees that change their main skill up a bit. As you probably know, there is a great amount of variety of guns. The quests all have great dialogue, but when you strip the dialogue, stories, and characters they all are still just typical fetch quests.

Overall, the game is a blast. I didn't know there was a PS4 version, so I can't really comment on that. However, I highly recommend you give it a try.

In case you are curious about the Pre-Sequel, it was made by a different team based in Australia. In my opinion, it is the worst Borderlands yet. I won't go into detail, but BL2 is a lot better and it's probably cheaper.

Thanks for the responses! By no means do I hate the vita version, but the frame rate drop was hard to deal with at times.

I'm a huge fan of Borderlands. Been there since the first came out. However, even I will admit the port could be a lot better. It's amazing that they got the game on the vita at all, but the low FPS, crashes, stuttering, long load times, textures popping in, and small font size really bring this game down in my opinion. I much rather have had a small unique Borderlands game on Vita than the buggy mess this is.

I am not getting the PS4 version of borderlands. Although BL2 was good, and in most ways much better than BL1 - the drop rate of any weapons worthwhile was almost nil. The selling point of billions of weapons - to me white weapons are like slightly used toilet paper - no thanks, i really dont care how cheap it is. Pre Sequel turned out to be a total dud (i bought it) - although at leadt the weapon drop rate of higher level weapons was ok, and the shops were useful again. In BL2 the only point of the shops was to sell your junk. Nothing good was ever for sale.
Also, BL for PS 4 is going for Full retail at $59.99.

Borderlands 2 is great imo, haven't played the presequel but it seems to be universally panned.

Then it would probably be one of your all-time favorite games had you played it on PS3 / X360, Vita version is a joke in comparison.

As for me, I loved the game and will certainly get it on PS4.

Don't know if it is any good - but Amazon has Resistance: Burning Skies for $5. Saw it on slickdeals.net today.

Nice, thanks for the heads up.

I bought it for $10 and didn't care for it. The graphics were pretty bad, the sounds and voice acting were also bad. The story wasn't interesting. The gameplay wasn't anything special either.

The weapons were a bit unique and were actually pretty nice. It is really easy to platinum though, if anyone gives a damn about that.

No it was good in my opinion, what do you expect on handhelds? It is still one of the best portable FPS game

I know, you want to say KZ:M is the best and I want all FPS Vita games same as that. We have the same on home consoles too, it's like you want any FPS game same as COD Advanced Warfare for playing.

You can't deny that the audio quality in Resistance BS was awful though.

Resistance BS is a gigantic pile of BS.

They should pay you to play something as bad as that.

Don't remember that meanwhile I have this problem with Mortal Kombat, I can't even hear that, and there's no subtitles at all, WTF.

I expect not to be charged a premium for shit. I don't care if that shit is on a silver platter, it's still shit. Luckily, I only payed $10 and not the $40 they probably charged when it released.

Also, you are correct. I would say Killzones Mercanaries is the much better game. It excels in pretty much every area that Resistance failed in. Now, it's no perfect game by any means. However, it shows that games on handhelds can be a lot better

If the game released at a $10 price point, I wouldn't be as harsh. It didn't though, so I'm not going pretend it's a great game. That is my opinion though. Out of curiously, what do you like about that game?
