I know, all fingers crossed gonna hold off on getting the console game this year and just get on Vita
Ahhh, I thought someone was complaining about iPad 2's unused horse power just a few posts ago in this very thread. Not an issue when you use psp games which dont even scratch the bottom of vita's capabilities?
Same here. But don't hold your breath for a CoD or Bioshock announcement. Keep in mind the upcoming event is Japanese centric. I expect some big RPGs at best. Oh yeah, just wanna say, I completely agree with all the talk earlier about not wanting to play iPod games after experiencing the Vita firsthand. The new ME game greatly solidified that, tbh.
Lol, i wont be wasting my pennies on psp games for my Vita, just saying the 100s of games on the Vita include the psp games no catching me out there And yeah thats my opinion the ipad2 horsepower is unused-dont you agree? From top of my head i can think of GTA3 having extra headlight effects...
It's really good. I'm not liking IGNs scoring. They conpare vita Games to console games. Just like the uncharted review. They also don't take into account its a mobile game. It has short missions so you can play quick games on the train or bus. Hating IGN now...
I actually sat down and finished Uncharted today on my Vita, have to say I was extremely impressed with all aspects of it, can't remember the last time I invested more than 30 minutes in one go on any game on either my iPhone 4S or iPad 2 for that matter, don't get me wrong they're both amazing devices, I just don't get a buzz out of gaming on them anymore
Not arguing that ipad 2 is still under utilised. Just found it amusing that you'd count games which don't use vita's power but shun the iPad gaming for the exact same reasons. In either case, I personally never cared for great 3d graphics on portables (including the iPad). Nothing comes close to consoles still (which themselves are a joke when it comes to a powerful gaming PC). All I want from my game is that it should be fun. Don't care if it doesn't have a million triangles and a dozen shader effects. If I want eye candy I'll turn on my console or build a gaming PC.
Since when is 7.5 not a "good" score? I read over the review, and it sounds perfectly fair to me. It falls right in line as what I would have expected after playing through the demo.
Does anybody know if it is possible to download a Vita game on a pc, and store it there, then sync to the vita? Kind of like itunes? BC right now, I'm traveling, but have a usb wireless nub that I can plug into my computer, but wanted to take advantage of that Motorstorm RC promo.
There's a content manager available for both Mac and PC but I haven't used either of them to be honest, Not sure if you could use them to download stuff or not but it's worth a shot I guess.
But Vita is like a Console in your pocket lol I didnt count the PSP games for the Vita it was a post earlier from someone saying there are hundreds of games for the Vita... Im like you and would just class the Vita specific games for Vita Havent completely shunned my Ipad lol, still use it as its faster than switching on the Laptop On the other topic someone queried-7.5 is bad in terms of IGN scores lol Liked the Demo tho so will prob get it-off Amazon
So Mass Effect Infiltrator isn't very good? Everybody seems to be ragging on it. Kind of wanted it, but I'll just wait a bit. EA will probably have a big sale for Easter and every other holiday in the next few months like they Normally do.
^ hehe, wrong thread. More on topic: I'm just hanging around waiting for the PS Store to update so I can grab Motorstorm RC. I hope it's soon..
hmm, I truthfully respect your opinion here but this seems to imply that PSP games are irrelevant on Vita because they were made for older hardware. I disagree. As someone who hasn't touched a PSP in over 3 years, I find them to be a welcome addition to the Vita's early library (as if it wasn't stacked enough...). I see where you're coming from completely but this would also indirectly imply that games made for the iPad1 are automatically irrelevant to new users of the iPad2. Another thing pushing relevance of PSP games, IMO, is they tend to surpass anything iOS has to offer, even for as old as they are, which amazes me. Anyway, not looking for an argument or anything like that, just passing some time while playing Monster Hunter.
Nah, I was asking because a bunch of people in this thread implied that they didn't enjoy it. Prolly should've quoted one of them, but whatever. Anyone know when PSN will get updated? The PS Blog says this afternoon, but it's going to be evening in just over an hour (PST). Hopefully not like the past few weeks where it's been updated at like 9PM (I think they updated it at 12AM once recently too- they were late, not ealy btw).
