I can confirm Golden will do very little to change someone's mind when it comes to text-heavy games. However I can vouch for Zero Escape and to a lesser extent Danganronpa's ability to make you love VNs or similar-style games. If you have a DS or 3DS also try Hotel Dusk and The Last Window. If none of these games do it for you, they nothing will get you into this genre.
I wouldn't. I bought it and I like jrpgs but that bored me rigid, it's more like a teenage simulator than an rpg, with constant teens jabbering on pointlessly.
Anyone who wants hardcore SMT experience is better off playing the main SMT games (Nocturne/SMT4), Digital Devil Saga or even the Devil Survivor games (more text than the previous I mentionned but harcore stratedy and TB RPG). Persona games made bank because they appeal to VN and RPG fans alike with fanservice.
Seems Sonys 10% for the downtime for PS+ users is limited to a 3 day period, doesn't affect me too much but I feel sorry for the people who get paid fortnightly or monthly, or people who've burnt their funds with Christmas. In EU at least the 10% also syncs in nicely and misses the January sales. I'm sure Sony are trying really hard to be disliked by their fan base at the moment.
agreed. I will use the 10% when pre-ordering Grim Fandango (it's cross buy so my vita version is covered). But their statement is confusing: they only mention PS3 and 4 games but not vita. Are vita games not participating in the discount?
I think they're meant to be included, people have mentioned intending to use the discount for Vita titles. The preorder thing is a bit of an unknown atm, the have said it can be used but stores don't allow you to apply a code to them, so up to Sony to get that fixed before it rolls out.

SCEE's said the same thing, but they did a sneaky sloth edit and put Pre-orders in the exclusion list after initially having it as a something you could use the discount on. No "post has been updated" or "corrected", no apologies, no replies, nada. If I didn't own so much on my account (during the PS3 gen SCEE were great), I'd make another account and purchase stuff in the US. Never has Sony been so consistently irritating.
I thought they meant PSN pre-orders and not physical things. It's great to have vita included even if it wasn't mentionned (as if they don't want people to know it exists). Of course they only did a PSP sale this week so people can't profit from the sales on top of discounts lol.
Yeah not mentioning the Vita was a bit of an oversight. Discounts are for PSN only, yeah not physical. The US can use the discount on PSN preorders, EU can't. I think I may have confused things when I said Stores, meant the online SCEE storefronts (PSN web, PSN PS4, etc). Btw, what region are you? You mentioned preordering with the discount so I'm just curious.
Even though I'm in Europe, I always use NA regions for my devices (imported a NA 3DS), because we always get shafted with game releases and prices.
They corrected the statement and pre-orders are NOT included. At least in the US. Too bad, but I am going to use the 10% to buy at least season 3 of Pinball Arcade and wasn't planning to pre-order anything. Limited funds available.
