EDF 2017! Maybe not for $40 but when/if on sale well worth it. Looks like you may have Hotline Miami. Outstanding on Vita. Played briefly on PS3 and ended up back on Vita. Persona 4 Golden A few from the top of my head.
Thanks! I've heard only good things about P4G, and it looks like something I'd enjoy. I know it's rated M but is it something I could play with/around kids (13-14?) or would it one of the games that I have to wait until the room clears out to play?
To be honest, I don't remember anything in the game that would suggest clearing the room based on that age range. Maybe someone else could chime in on that.
Thanks. I mentioned is the PS4 thread about battlefield 4, I like playing games with family but I wouldn't want to have them see/hear anything too far out of their age range in terms of appropriateness. Also, I don't think the ESRB is always spot on, for example, I'd rather play battlefield with it's M rating in front of kids than I would infamous second son even though it's T.
LittleBigPlanet Vita and Tearaway if you want charm, innovation, something pretty and casual. Killzone Mercenery and Bot DLC if you want a good FPS. Wipeout 2048 if you like speed. Rainbow Moon if you want an old school grindy RPG, Freedom Wars if you can grab it cheap for its vibe.
@Anu: Yes it is! @darkhorse: yeah they're adding some exclusive things to the PS versions as a little thank you for waiting so long after the Nintendo and Steam releases. @Lucian: while the graphics are more "innovative" than what could have been found on retro consoles, I agree that the abundance of this art direction is bewildering. Blame it on the explosion of indies and people wanting to enter the gaming industry. I blame mobile gaming for that actually. While it's good that some people might transmit good ideas without paying huge amounts for engines and such, the majority wants to take advantage of this comeback to get away with cutting back in this department.
Was going to add those, I'd also recommend Frozen Synapse Prime and Pix the Cat. I was going to do a personal top 3 Vita games of 2014 video (And I even came up with the most amazing name for it ever, "Three to Play"), but was too lazy to finish it, so I'm just going to say that Pix the Cat, Frozen Synapse Prime and Velocity 2X were the games on it.
Thanks for all the suggestions. Where is freedom wars cheap? I mean $30 isn't much at all but that's its usual price.
It was $15 last week on Amazon and Best Buy. Maybe other places too. I forgot about Lumines: Electronic Symphony. If you like Tetris, you'll like Lumines.
Thanks. It's seems like the genreal consensus on P4G is 15+ish, so a mature 14 year old shoild be ok.
As someone who currently has 60+ hours invested in my playthrough of it I would just like to reinforce the fact that nothing in the game is too bad for a 14 year old. Theres a bit of swearing and the second or maybe it was the third dungeon is literally a striptease/club deal but no full nudity. When you play the game everything makes sense in context. Nothing in the game is worse then what you will find on TV or movies nowadays. As a 17 year old I see the game as more of an experience than an actual game. It touches upon so many different topics and for a teenager can be extremely relatable due to the school setting. When I had first heard of it I never thought it would be my type of game. I could probably go on all day about it and how great it is but I'll just leave it at this. Have fun(just dont get discouraged by the 2-3 hour intro!! )
I'm sure none of you except maybe 164 are interested, but Best Buy has Resistance, PS All Stars, and Sly Cooper on sale for $5 again. Amazon may match it soon if you prefer to buy from them.
Thanks! The one thing that concerns me is that one of the persona apparently has partial nudity, but as long as it isn't human I think it should be ok. Off to Amazon!
Nah they mean the collection with 1+2 Edit: I meant to say there is, but it's just the collection consisting of the first and second.
I know, I figured he thought there was an exclusive God of war title for Vita, kind of like the two PSP ones. I did after all say the Vita collection was on sale for $15 a couple weeks ago.
I never been much of a God of war fan, but the Final Fantasy X and Metal Gear Solid collections turned out nice on the Vita, so I'm sure this one would be nice also. Too bad you missed the sale.
