Ok. I'm sure I want one and $161 seems like a pretty amazing price for such a cool device. Do you think the price will drop after Christmas?
Anyone's guess. I am not a business man, so I don't know what really drives retail prices. Merely been alive for a long time, and been a bargain hunter for most of my life (not really sure why though as I do pretty well for myself). So, if you are sure you want one, what do you think the cheapest you would get one for? Say, another deal for the bundle at $170 - you save $20 for the game and 10 - 15 for the 8 Gb memory card (I am assuming you could get these on sale) - so your best bottom line on just the system is $135 - is it worth not spending $26 (the cost difference) and wait and take a chance on either it not going on sale, or worse, go up in price? I think most of the sales have happened, and over all it does not seem like there are a bunch of insane "got to get rid of inventory sales" - more like just the regular sales that are always going on. If something goes on sale, will the price difference of a few dollars really eat at you? If so, wait and take the chance, if not, get it, enjoy it and laugh out loud if the price drops. Life is short - very few people die worrying about how much money they could have saved during their life...
Absolutely agree...life is to be laughed at as much as possible. One.sixty.four $161 is an amazing deal...go for it and start enjoying now. Commit to it and don't look back. I've had my share of buyers regret but now that I'm older it just doesn't matter or bother me much because you can't predict or control that much including prices fluctuating and that's okay at the end of the day!
Ok, thanks for all the help. I think I'll be grabbing one tomorrow if I'm near the store. I agree the waiting to save $25 is a bit ridiculous since time IS money.
Guys first read me there: http://thevitalounge.net/forum/threads/the-lords-of-fallen-wont-come-to-vita-but-ios.1934/ http://forums.bandainamcogames.com/showthread.php?13467-Lords-of-the-Fallen-is-coming-to-mobiles-and-not-for-PS-Vita Then if you can support me (or yourself) please put your comments there at their forums.
Looks like a game i might enjoy. Anyone have it and what are your thoughts. Dark Souls was way to hard/ frustrating. I am still loving Diablo and like loot collecting. I dont mind being "overpowered" to have fun.
It's not that hard but it does have a really steep learning curve, I got to it after playing Demon's Souls to death (way way harder) so didn't have much trouble as both games gameplay are very similar, only hard bosses were Ornstein & Smough (any playthrough if playing solo, not bad if with other blue phantoms that knew what to do) and Four Kings (New Game ++-+++).
Thanks. I am not much of a multiplayer (I should say I don't ever do multiplayer), so single campaign for me. I think I will hold off on it. Sounds OK, but not great - recently got AC Unity and I am getting Dragon Age for Xmas (now how did I know that?) so I will wait til next year to pick it up - maybe way for the end of the year edition if there is DLC associated so I get a package.
I'm new to this game and to the PSN ecosystem so I thought Dragon Age for Vita!! So I searched the web and quickly realized it's for PS3 and PS4 oh well we all have to learn the hard way
Sorry - I occasionally get off topic. I think it is Annubis' fault - he is in charge of discipline (self appointed I might add) - and he occasionally lets things get out of hand. On topic - the 16 Gb memory cards on sale at Amazon for $24 normally around 35 - 40. And the 32 Gb memory cards on sale for 65 - normally 75-80...
Oh no problem I'll refrain from making any comment about Annubis. He has been very nice to me in fact he has made no comment towards me and doesn't even know I exist........perfect
I think Annubis is a great guy. I am hoping he will put his thumb on the scale when he weighs my heart.
Vita Games $5 at BestBuy 12/20/14 Just stopping by quickly to let US folks know that Best Buy is having a sale on a number of their Vita games - selling for only $5. Things like Sly Cooper, Resistance, Unit 13, PS All Stars, Wipeout 2048. Anyways - these are really cheap! Have a great weekend.
Nemerleb! Do you remember many moons ago when you recommended Child of Light and I declared that I would be the proud owner of that game... As soon as it went on sale? Well my child, that day has come. It now sits on the home screen of my Vita. Little does it know of my huge backlog of other games, also waiting to be played. Ah, that's a bummer. Sorry to hear that. You may be able to get Sony to refund you if you don't have either of those systems. Here is a little tip for you, if you see advertisements of a game than it is most likely not available for the Vita. Just because I do not present myself doesn't mean that I do not watch over you. I was and I am In your thoughts and your breath I dwell in your dreams I am your life and your death Well thank you very much for that comment my dear friend. However you misspelled my name, which means you shall be lashed until all that remains of you is a pile dust. Sorry. Nice find! Due to how you have helped bring cheap games to all of our systems, you have been forgiven of all past crimes. Too bad I already bought all of the games you mentioned, though I hope some new Vita owners take advantage of these deals. Thanks for the heads up and carry on with your duties, my somewhat faithful servant.
You've misunderstood me Anubis I didn't buy Dragon Age, I just looked it up. I'm surprised since you're suppose to know every thought I have, every breath I take....wow I should write songs! Anyways if you really are my creator sorry for doubting your all knowing ways
Ah, good to hear. Now, take that money you saved and use it to buy actual Vita games! NOW! Also, feel free to write a song about me while you're waiting for your games to download/install.
Okay! Child of Light looks very good I'm going to get it now. Resogun is available for me this coming Tuesday and I'll be getting that most definitely. Any suggestions you can give me Anubis? Thanks in advance
IGN gave it an 8 "Great" I don't have it so maybe someone here can tell you more. It does look good though Can someone tell me a little bit more about Terraria, it's on sale for$6
Good child! I'm not really that helpful in regards to suggestions, since I have such a huge backlog of games I haven't even started yet. Some of my favorite games I have played so far have been... * Final Fantasy X: Even though this is a remaster, it looks pretty good on the Vita and is quite the charming jRPG in my opinion. Doing everything in the game will also most likely take you well over a 100 hours, and that doesn't include FFX2. The story is charming and the characters are all quite memorable in my opinion. It's still a great game, even if it is a remastered PS2 game. * Soul Sacrifice Delta: It's a really fun action RPG in the same vein as monster hunter. It's a lot more fast paced, with an interesting and unique presentation and some fun gameplay. It can get a little easy sometimes, but it is a blast to play. There is also a wealth of content and a lot of spells to discover. I personally love how you can choose to sacrifice or save fallen enemies and allies, and how it has different effects on your character. Also, it is quite enjoyable to play with friends or strangers online. It gets really interesting when a real person falls, and you have to choose to sacrifice or save them. Overall. A very enjoyable and great Vita exclusive. * Dragon's Crown: Quite a strange game that I enjoyed greatly when I bought it. Reminded me of the old side-scroller beat em ups mashed with an RPG. The art style was very beautiful in my opinion, and looked great on the Vita. The gameplay was pretty easy to get a hang of, but was pretty enjoyable with with the different sets of moves. I really enjoyed how there were basically two paths per level, each varying greatly from the other. There are also a multitude of characters to try each with their own abilities. Then there is all of the loot you may find. It may get a bit repetitive, depending on whether or not you like that style of game. * Tearaway: This is a nice little unique and charming adventure. The graphics, sounds, and presentation are all great and the gameplay is pretty enjoyable, even if it is really simple. The adventure is memorable, and the game utilizes most of the Vita's features. Near the end it starts to get a bit annoying with the controls, but nothing to extreme. It is also very unique in the sense that the adventure is very personalized, you will feel as if you left your mark on its little world. This game is quite hard to describe, but it is a really unique and relaxed experience in which the whole family can enjoy. Some "indie" titles I enjoyed are... * Terraria: Despite what some people say, this isn't a 2D Minecraft. I guess it is kind of like an old school 2D plat former, with a multitude of items and a randomly generated world that can be modified. There's a lot more combat than Minecraft, and some battles require you to be a bit creative. Exploring not only leads to new materials, but there are also an abundance of rare items scattered around everywhere. Once you feel you've beaten the game, the game turns around and throws you into a new game+, which has updated bosses and even more items! The developers have constantly updated it throughout the years, leading to a great little polished product. * Don't Starve: This game joined in on the randomly generated trend, but gave itself a very unique identity. Like the game's title suggests, the goal of the game is to try to survive and not to starve. It can become quite challenging, especially during the the optional adventure mode. A neat thing about this game is before you start a new game, you can change the settings of the world quite a bit. For example, you can change the size of the world, how likely land is to connect to another area, the likelihood of encountering items, and the types of fiends you will encounter. You can also change the season you start out with, in which each season requires a different approach to survive. One thing about this game is unless you find something that will allow you to respawn, if you die than its game over. However, based on how well you survived and what you accomplished you may unlock new characters in which each has a unique style. Not everyone will enjoy the game, but it can be very rewarding and a fun time waster. * Rogue Legacy: Surprise, another game with randomly generated elements. This is quite a fun little plat former with a unique twist. If you die, you lose that character. However, it isn't as bad as it sounds because you get a new heir to play as with different traits. They also inherit your items and abilities, so you don't really lose much. The layout of the castle does change with every heir, unless you use an option to lock the layout. The controls can feel slightly floaty at times, but it isn't too bad. The different classes and traits help keep this game fresh, and you will often say "just one more time" five times in a row. Some parts can be overly difficult in which it may frustrate some users who get frustrated easily, however those parts are mostly optional. I hope this helped a bit and I hope you find a few games you enjoy. Let us know what you buy and how well you like the games. Sorry if I typed a whole bunch of gibberish, I wrote this at 2 a.m in the morning. Oh, and a piece of advice; don't ever disturb an ancient Egyptian's slumber.
