Best Vita Action RPG by far IMO.

Saw a deal for the 32 Gb memory for $40 at Gamestop.

If people dont want me posting deals, just say it and ill quit. Just trying to help folks out. I realize its a bit off topic.

How is posting Vita-related stuff off-topic? Nah man post to your heart's content.
You are just breaking my soul softly and slowly since I can't take advantage of these discounts...

Adding to pluto, The Wolf Among Us Vita is currently 15$ (was 30) and Danganronpa 2 is 30$ (down from 40) on amazon.com. Sssso jump on it you lucky b******.

Sorry all, I've been a little busy lately. I hope you all had a good holiday!

I forget who I was harassing before I left... Oh well.

Oh, and damn you nemerleb and pluto! Nemerleb, I remember you recommended ys and ragnarok, but I didn't want to pay $30 for them.

Then pluto comes along and says ys is 33% off. What do I do? Check Amazon and find both ys and ragnarok on sale... Damn you both! You guys murdered my sweet old wallet... As if I didn't have a big enough backlog already... Well, I'm pretty sure I now own every English PS Vita game.

I hope that you did not pass up getting a good deal on the 32 Gb Memory card at GameStop?

@nemerleb - I had not heard of Danganronpa 2 - checked out some reviews and it seems quirky, but most people think it is phenomenal - so I ordered it.

I feel your pain Anubis. My wallet consists of a thin piece of plastic with numbers embossed on it that people accept in good faith as having some value behind it... I am planning on calling Amazon and seeing if they want some land that I have in Florida - prime real estate - comes with its own water supply - and the crocodiles keep the grass from growing too tall.

Anyways, thanks for the tip on the game. Ys is on its way.

Danganronpa is a visual novel with some "court" gameplay thrown in at the end of each chapter, kinda similar to the Ace Attorney series. If you're into this you should check out the first one also on Vita, as Dangan2 will make much more sense.
Frankly I didn't like it as much as Zero Escape for example. But if you're into whacky characters, and a bit of fanservice here and there, you'll enjoy it.

    @Anu: enjoy!

Why don't you make me, punk?

Just kidding, thanks. I definitely will... As soon as I finish my endless backlog of other games I haven't even started.

Also, I just recieved the Ragnorak game and when I opened the package I noticed it was inside of a big box. When I took it out and read it, it said it was the "launch edition". It ended up coming with the soundtrack of the game on a CD.

Oh, and this is completely off topic but has anyone been blocked by the firewall? It said I was being blocked for some type of injection. It wouldn't allow me to post at all.

Maybe it was a sign you should stop? joking joking Anu

Anyone looking for some good PSN christmas sales? Week one looks pretty mediocre as far as Vita games go. Only Guaca and Bit Trip are appealing. But I already got those....
Btw the Game Of Thrones game is launching this week I think on iOS? It should come later on on Vita. Hope it will run more smoothly than the other Telltale games smh

Yeah, although with a PS4 and / or PS3, things are better. I don't get Sony's love /hate with the Vita.

Just read on IGN that Resogun is CONFIRMED that it is coming to Vita. Although I am not that good at it, House Marquis really does an excellent job with dual sticks so I am hopeful this will be an excellent game on the Vita.

I need to try Geometry Wars 3 on the PS 4.

Housemarque's take on classic arcade games is second to none imo, Resogun and Super Stardust HD are really well thought out contemporary solutions to classics. The whole circular thing of Resogun is an elegant solution to Defenders mini map.

Outlands would be nice to see ported too, highly underrated original IP.

Resogun will be a great Vita game. If it's cross-buy that will be awesome, but I'll probably buy it even if it isn't.

I'll be interested in how many particles they manage to cram on the screen and at what framerate with the vita version. My expectations are high. (Super Stardust Delta did have a lot of particles and ran at 60 fps afterall...)

Update: More info on the PS Vita & PS3 versions of the game

    Trailer:

    Release date: 17th of december.

Both the PS3 and Vita version will run at 30 fps.

The game will have both cross save AND CROSS BUY BETWEEN ALL VERSIONS OF THE GAME.

So if I own Resogun on PS4 ( I think it was a Day 1 digital reward for pre-ordering a PS4, but maybe all PS4 owners got it free? ) do we get it free for the PS3 and Vita? That would be pretty sweet if so.

I decided to finally try one of the new games I bought and ended up playing ys.

I have to admit the graphics, animations, and the lack of voice acting leave a lot to be desired. However, the gameplay doesn't seem too bad so far. Being the creep that I am, I decided to start on the Nightmare difficulty because who doesn't love nightmares? I just completed the first boss and was slightly dissapointment that the gameplay basically devolved into; whack, roll, smack, roll, whack, roll... I know it was just the first boss, but I do hope the game gets a bit more challenging.

Lucian has been around a pretty long time and has good comments on many iOS games - so I think that it will get better for you. Since I bought it too, I am also hopeful that you find it a deep, engaging game. Also, Ys got an 83% on gamerankings.com from 43 reviews - and if it was just roll, whack, smack, roll - it would not have fared well. Not having played Ys games before, I am hopeful that sometimes games start off pretty slow. Let us know your thoughts.
