Just bought Super Stardust $14.99 pack. It definitely plays like Meteor Blitz.. And so far it doesn't disappoint. Uncharted-- I think I am at least four hours into the game and only level 16 of 30ish (?)
I realize that Super Stardust Delta is extremely polished, but I didnt buy a Vita to play iOS-type games on it. And that game pretty is just that. Uncharted should be 10-ish hours. Could be more. Maybe 12 or 13 hours, tops. Shouldn't be less 10. Dependant on play style, difficulty level, etc. Not every chapter is entireable playable. Some chapters are just cut scenes with a little interaction dispersed throughout. Motorstorm RC will be free on PSN store for U.S. tomorrow.
What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord? Is really good. Can be frustrating and hard at times though. The second one is a lot better than the first, because the first only saves your scores- you can't save any progress. And the second one has a lot more content in it. Haven't played the third game (No Heroes Allowed!) yet though, so I don't know which is better between those two.
Yeah, it seemed like a long game. Didn't realize that you could tap on sparkled items throughout the cutscenes. I didn't until that one chapter where Chase and Drake were in a museum (long cutscene). I almost bought RC yesterday.. It's a good thing I didn't. Phew. Thanks for the head's up.
Cant believe you Americans get Motorstorm RC for free tomo! Grrr lol but i suppose its ok since we EU ppl have had it since launch but highly recommend it as its awesome! Fingers crossed Bioshocks confirmed later this week and that itll come sooner than later as Unit 13 is only decent close release then Mortal Kombat in few months
Allow me to disagree. Super Stardust Delta is way way better than any dual-stick shooter on iOS. And to call it an iOS-type game is not fair, IMO it's quite the contrary: there are A LOT of iOS games inspired by console games such as Super Stardust and Geometry Wars.
What he means is that it's a high-score, arcade type game. He wants more true console experiences with enough depth to justify the higher price. I can't say I disagree with him.
A dual-stick shooter, almost by definition, an iOS-"type" game. I gave it credit for being more polished, but I just don't care. I'm not interested, particularly not on the Vita, and particular not at a packaged price point of $15. I would hesitate to buy that game for 0.99c if it were available on the AppStore, to be honest. And I've bought 10 Vita games too, but that ain't one of them. Just like I won't buy Lumines for $40.00, or Tetris on the 3DS for $35. That's not what I bought these expensive handhelds for. Especially the Vita. It feels like wasted tech, using it to play games like those. That's what I've got like 100GB worth of iOS games for. I'm not stopping anyone else from doing it though.
well, i've been reading some pages in this topic and i have an ipad 2 but i miss playing some games that have more depth. i usually spend 5/8 euros a week in the game releases on Thursday and sometimes i get huge fun out of the games, like run roo run, ghost trick, jetpack and others but i'm seeing myself leaving some games i buy unfinished or not even touching them or they don't simply amaze me or make me glue to them like my gaming on the 360. The thing is, i'm almost all day on the street so i think handheld gaming is the better for me. A example is that i still haven't had time to finish gears of war 3 and i have it since launch day. I don't have much money but it appeared the chance to get a PS Vita + 4bg card + uncharted all for 215 euros. You can think as 215 dollars since in gaming the conversion rate doesn't apply very often. Should i grab this opportunity? i'm kinda in the doubt, i see uncharted, rayman, ninja gaiden, umvsc 3, blazblue, disgaea 3 as games that pleases me but the next months kinda dry in game releases. And i'm kinda scare the vita will be catching dust for some months since my psp turned like that. Also, if i grab this vita i probably will only have cash to one more game and maybe get a 32 gb from videogamesplus or amazon.com if they ship to europe. Still kinda in a doubt of what should i do. Guess i must think a little more the next days.
Fairly high price i must admit 'compared to IOS' but this is on Vita so you have to pay more for the better graphics and longivity of the game As a package its 7.49 here in UK and i think its a steal, was unsure at first as the trial was pretty pap but i jumped in a bought and its brilliant-far better than dual sticks on IOS flipship only one i can think of that i like on IPad2, the graphics and detail on the OLED screen are immense Not wanting to sound like a douche and put anyone down but on the Vita PSN game prices will never be as low as IOS appstore prices so we should stop comparing everything to them lol
Sorry for double post but get that deal! In Euros thats cheap!! And if you need another game wait for Unit 13 or get Fifa-theres a Sony announcement this week that will hopefully shed light on more games due this year so hopefully we dont have to wait too long Its far superior to PSP and more developers are said to be making games for Vita, i have Xbox and Ps3 and play Gears and over Xmas COD, but since i have had the Vita thats all ive used! So make the right choice and get it

Definatliy! I paid almost the same amount for the same content. Trust me your vita won't collect dust like your psp. My psp did for sure and my 3DS is now. The vita is a powerhouse and sports much better games than iOS. Uncharted was a great game. Play through on easy or normal first so the story is a better experience then tackle hard mode for the challenge
I don't think $10 ($15 with DLC) is a high price for a game this good, I'd trade dozens of my (never played or barely touched) $1 iOS games for it. That's not to say the price isn't wrong with many Vita titles (Dungeon Hunter, Ridge Racer, Asphalt, Katamari, Lumines, ...).
Plus there's the whole actually having two thumbsticks thing. There's something to be said for playing dual stick games like this (and Katamari, too, for that matter) with actual, you know, dual sticks.
I think the game prices will sort themselves out in time probably will take a while and more competition for games to find their place, Personally I really bought the Vita on the basis of it's future potential and the fact I really like the Wipeout series of games. Looking forward to Resistance Burning Skies and Disgaea 3 at the moment but I'm very interested in what game titles are announced on Friday.
... See that whole Mass Effect Infiltrator is why I got a Vita, I am done with cheap games I will pay $5 for and play a few times and delete it off my phone to make room for more 99c games. It's a never ending cycle....
