The new features in the PS4 version of Spelunky are coming to Vita (and PS3). Replays will also be getting a fast forward button - much needed! I'm looking forward to the Vita update and am glad the PS3 is getting it too - every score in the leader boards will then have a replay.
Finally got a game related crash the other day playing Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate. Some error popped up and I had the option to report it to SONY and I did. I nabbed the NYKO power grip for the 1000 Vita. I figured it'll get, or already has been, discontinued. I actually prefer how the CTA grip feels in my hands, the NYKO grip feels 'fatter' (can't think of a better word), but the battery more than makes up for that. It does take a few hours to charge the grip when you first open it up. After that, it isn't as long.
Hello servants, I apologize for my absence. I attempted to die but I was not worth of death, so here I am. Luckily for me though, I saw where Freedom Wars was released today. I forgot to pre order, but my local game retailer had a total of 2 copies! Hurray! So, what have I missed? Have you all built a statue of me out of meteorite yet? Or are some of you still too busy stroking your vitas? You know who you are... Anyways, what have you all been up to?
Stroke on, brother! Don't worry, I did also until I saw it on Amazon. If you're planning on buying it from a local retailer, you may want to call. The place I got my from only got 2 copies, and one was apparently already opened.
My Vita is pretty much collecting dust these days If I could only use remote play on my PS4 I'm sure I would use the Vita a lot more but I can't, which tbh just sucks
My issues have been resolved with a decent router, just for extra stability I've had the PS4 connected directly rather than through wifi as well. Had no hiccups whatsoever. While I primarily play on PS4, PS+ has been feeding my Vita pretty well though.
I recently upgraded my connection to 80/20 fibre and bought a new router but still remote play is unusable even when sat 2 foot away from the PS4.
From what I've heard the PS4's wifi is pretty terrible, so if you're connecting to via your router over wifi it's not too surprising that remote play doesn't work very well. (I don't own a PS4, so this is just based on what I've read on the internet.) Also the unfinished swan is really, really pretty on the Vita. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
So Freedom Wars is waaay polished, a triple A experience for sure. I'm not big on hunter games but I feel FW sets itself apart in its extremely fun combat. Tons of depth too, I'm really enjoying it. I did have to change the control layout which works much better than default for my play style. What does everyone else think?
As a huge MH fan I am interested in Freedom Wars but I've not bought it yet, the combat looks a bit more Arcady than the tactical combat of MH. So I'm considering it, need to get some combat feedback, if it is Arcady I'd rather save my money.
As someone who usually hates hunting games I wish Freedom Wars had a demo. It looks like it could potentially be interesting, but I'm not going to spend 25 on it to find out.
It doesn't feel like the average hunter game to me. It has a good amount of TPS which really changes it up and is a lot faster paced than monster hunter and it has a pretty solid story just to make the package a bit sweeter. Watching some videos might be your best bet right now. I usually have a hard time getting used to "hunter" type games but Freedom Wars has been my jam
