Anubis - its a southern thing - BBQ or powdered sugar... Pretty much you can work with any food with one of those 2 things as a topping.
Haha, I understand. I like throwing everything in either soyaki sauce or nutritional yeast. Though neither of those are related to my area. My area likes throwing old bay seasoning on everything. Just out of curiosity, are there any non dessert foods that you put powdered sugar on? By the way, I like the cartoon version of you more than that photo version. The photo version looks so weird.
Frozen Synapse Prime Well I've completed the two tutorials and the first couple missions. It's a solid game thus far with fantastic control alternative. Seamlessly switxhing between touch and control pad at any point is great stuff. The UI makes sense and is pretty easy to wrap your head around. Issuing commands is as easy as it gets. So with all that said, I'm still not sure about it. I can confidently say that if anyone enjoyed the first one, Prime is a definite recommendation. Personally I need more time with it before I can say I'm a big fan. I love tactical games, but I'm not so sure I love the simultaneous movement. It all feels tactical, but it seems impossible to tell where the enemy will be or will move. So because of this if feels somewhat random and find myself simply hoping for the best after submitting my turn. I probably just need more time with it is all.
OMG invizimals comes out this week! I'm so going to buy it and like totally do invizimal stuff! Who else is buying it?
Give Skirmish a go too, personally more my cuppa than the campaign. Set squads, change to dark (you may prefer light for starters) and go hard. It's basically offline multiplayer with AI so it'll give you a feel for the game without the reinforcements at varying spots you get in the campaign. It's as balanced or unbalanced as you want to makes it. For Dark, crouching and using corners for cover are vital and add another layer of strategy. Re the simulations, maybe a multiplayer thing (or just brain fade) but I'm sure the original used to predict enemy movement during the runs. But could be totally wrong.
Come on! You know about stroking monster girls but not about invizimals? They're like animals, but they're invisible! I remember I had one when I was a kid, his name was Sir Henry the 47th. No one else could see him, only I. We were best friends forever, until the day came when he discovered highways. I tried to warn him not to run on them but he never listened. He was such a good invizimal, sniff sniff. Sir Henry the 47th, you will always live on in my heart.
Nah, I just saw the name and trailer and decided to use it to make a super duper dramatic story that ended up not being very dramatic at all. It was my way of coping with not seeing Duke Nukem 3D releasing this week. Really, does anyone know what happened to it? I thought it was supposed to release a couple of months ago. Ah snicker doodles.
Well, my heart may still be bleeding from the lack of Duke Nukem 3D, but at least the Metal Gear collections is on sale for $15. I'm sure that will help ease the pain. Has anyone tried MGS on the vita? If so, how is it?
The controls are well... different from modern games (espechially in MGS 2). They take a lot of time to get used to, but that's not a problem with the port. The only slightly annoying thing about the Vita version is that to peek around cover you have to swipe on the rear touchpad. I'll put it this way: It's worth spending the time getting the hang of them. I don't remember seeing any real bugs or fps drops, the game looks quite sharp as well, allthough it apparently doesn't quite run at native res (quite noticeable in these screenshots, but not so much on the Vita's screen). With all that said, here are some screenshots I took while playing the game that should hopefully convince you to buy it: Metal Gear Solid 2 features... ...Breaking bottles. One at a time. Gotta break 'em all. ...Metal... Gear?! ...Meta-oh it's just a rubber duck. ...Poorly dressed soldiers. ...Badasses with a parrot. ...What? Metal Gear Solid 3 features... ...Explosions. ...Communism. ...Goats. ...More explosions. ...The best camouflage. ...The best, most informative dialogue. (I'd post more pictures, but many of the ones I had on my Vita were just too spoilerific)
I've only played MGS2 from the collection and its excellent. No major bugs after my 3-4 playthroughs. I found nothing wrong with the controls either. Can't comment on MGS3.
Der-Kleine, I'm sorry to announce you are now a nemesis of my wallet. After I read through your post I picked up my Vita and spammed the buy button. I really didn't need to buy another game but you forced me to do it. Those pictures were pretty funny, I can't wait to try the game out for myself. Thanks for all of the pictures and info, I appreciate you taking the time to make that post. Darkhorsey, glad to hear it doesn't seem to have any major issues. The borderlands 2 port made me wary of bugs and fps drops, and I've played a few ports with control issues. Glad to hear that this seems to have neither.
So... Anyone play what seems like an obvious purchase - Natural Doctrine? These reviews are beating it down..hard. I'm having a hard time resisting buying it though.
I was kind of interested in it since it was supposed to be challenging. It seems like it's not challenging in a good way, as in the game wants you to play its way or not at all. I don't think I've seen a single review for it that gave it a 7/10 or higher. If I were you I would wait for its price to drop.
