Ah, a source of fuel. Maybe we should figure out a way to put them in the tanks of cars? We could make a lot of money. But, why would you purchase fuel through Amazon? I didn't think common carriers could ship hazardous materials. Or maybe, you are talking about the "fires of love" - in trouble with your significant other? Ok, enough craziness. Sorry Der Klein.
Wha..?? Croc is an iconic 3D platformer from way back when, starring the cutest crocodile character in a video game, and which got a few sequels and was hard as nails for me as a child. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueDRv4BgveA And I really really want it on PSN. Don't think I can participate in the Panel since I'm in Paris and it's limited to US and UK. But make sure to use another browser to enter private data like bank stuff and other important stuff!
Sometimes, I am not saying all the time, but sometimes those fond memories of how great a game was is better as a memory. I remember the SNES Aladdin - aahhh, what a platformer - hard as nails. I never beat it, but my kid did - it was amazing. But, firing it up years later - the graphics make you shudder, and the gameplay just didn't compare to what is possible now with better controllers and superior hardware. I bought a couple of the PSN Spyro's Dragons- and they did not age nearly as well as I was hoping. Still - your wish may come true, and hopefully the experience will be a good one.
Of course what you said is true. And it's good you reminded that this situation happens sometimes, since when you're a kid you tend to analyze puzzles and games more simply than adults (ex: I replayed Link's Awakening, Oracles games and Warioland the past year and kept asking myself how the hell did I fully complete these games when I was smaller, and realized I'm at a point in my life where I over analyze things and force myself to look deeper when I really should be keeping things simple). I do hope they bring Croc back to the current generation. While Sly 1 was awesome, Sly 2 and 3 left a sour taste in my mouth.
Yeah! Great idea, we could become gazillionaires! We could also use them to make heated flip flops! That way you could wear flip flops in the winter! Man we're like smart and smarter! Ah, after watching the link I remembered seeing it. I think a friend had it. I'm sure it will come to PSN when Spyro and Crash become available. Oh, sorry about the panel. You can actually disable it if you're doing something important. If you leave it disabled always though you won't get a dime. On a side note... You're french?!? Man, you probably have one of those wicked mustaches and eat snails all the time!
Gamestop has a $50 bonus trade-in value coupon for Vita if you are a Pro member (or if you can get somebody who is to give you their coupon - that's what I did). The base value is $110, so that's $160 credit. So I did it and bought the Vita-2000 Borderlands bundle for $199.99. I also had a $10 off one item coupon from power up rewards, and I used that to cover most of the tax. Effectively a $42 or so upgrade to the new Vita, plus Borderlands 2 and an 8 GB card, new warranty and trigger buttons that aren't getting worn out. I'm selling the 8 GB and will probably sell Borderlands 2 also, but I may end up keeping it. Not sure yet. So far I think the upgrade was worth it. Yes, the OLED has true black and there is an adjustment period getting use to the LCD display, but overall it's a nice upgrade. Especially nice for me is that A) it works with any USB charger including battery packs (I tested it with my Anker portable battery which never worked with the Vita-1000 and it works), and uses a standard micro-USB cord (I tried another one I had and it worked too) and B) it is much better outdoors in shade (in my car in this case). Very playable, unlike the OLED in that situation. But yes it takes some getting use to the look of the display. After an hour or so I stopped noticing that, and the improvements are a win. I'd do it again.
So here's some gameplay of Frozen Synapse Prime: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel It's fantastic. And I just played a multiplayer match against one of my twitter friends, the ammount of customizabillity in the multiplayer should keep that fun for quite some time.
After reading the first few sentences I started to sharpen my pitchfork, lucky for you I finished reading the post. Thanks for the heads up though and I'm glad you are satisfied with your purchase. I would reccomend selling the borderlands 2 game. It takes up a lot of space, it's has frame rate issues and there is no post launch support. The game itself is great, and it's cool they made work on the vita but to me it seems nothing more than a novelty. Anyways, I'm glad you are staying with us, even though you didn't really have a choice...
Half-Lebanese half-French / wicked hipster beard / I love love love snails and frogs and rotted cheese and cooked rabbit..you name it. Does anyone know if Sony can disable your PSN account if you have a foreign PSN account? I just read on gamefaqs that someone lost 60$ from their online wallet and nothing was purchased with it, and they're wondering if it was Sony's doing coz maybe they found out he wasn't using the PSN of their country. Is that a thing?
@Der Klein - As I am not much of a multiplayer person, will the single person experience be good, or is it really designed to be a multiplayer game? Some of these strategy games have a very weak one player (sort of to justify not having to say multiplayer only). Thanks. It looks phenomenal though.
Frozen Synapse Prime is easily the best version, really very awesome and feels right at home on the Vita. Control-wise I love how you can either be totally touch or use traditional controls, or a combination of the two. Pluto, it's fine single player if you like tactics, it does have a full campaign. But in all honesty you can't beat the feeling of playing versus a friend, you can play asynchronous so it's not like you need to be online when your opponent is.
Very interested in Frozen Synapse Prime, game seems my cup of tea (original X-Com is my all-time favorite game) but my gigantic multi-platform backlog really needs to be addressed. If only there weren't those stupid MP trophies maybe the trophy Spoiler whore hunter in me would compel me to buy it right now.
I'm actually surprised how small it is too, while it made me a little apprehensive initially you couldn't tell it was only around about a 280mb download which is brilliant and means its a stayer.
I wouldn't call it that surprising: The levels are all generated from some fairly basic blocks, none of them are hand-crafted in the sense that each looks completely different. With that said, small games with tons of great content are awesome.
Haha What would a hipster beard look like anyways? I highly doubt they can disable your account for it being foreign. If they did, I'm assuming they would refund have to refund you for the credit you had. I'm pretty sure also that they wouldn't just take the credit and then leave the account open, they would most like.y completely close the account. Sounds like to me it's something else, maybe someone bought a game? There should be a way to view the purchase history, I think they also send an email if you make any purchases.
Hey, has anyone else played FFX on the Vita? I loved the game but the mini games are... AGHHHHHH! The darn chocobo races drive me nuts. I'm trying the one with the treasure chest and I can't get all 5. I always end up right behind the other chocobo and I can't squeeze past it. One time I decided to and sit in front of it at the same spot to see how it liked it and it just pushed me aside and went past me... I swear that chocobo is made from evil pixels! 5 minutes after posting this I was able to do it... I should take that damn chocobo to KFC! Now to do the balloon race... I highly doubt anyone cares but I managed to get the perfect time on the chocobo balloon race. HA!
...go for it... Just do it... Go for it... JUST DO IT! No seriously, buy it. I bought it at launch and had such a blast with it and played through it multiple times. The gameplay is pretty fun, there's a nice little skill tree, it's kind of humorous and the graphics look nice. I definitely recommend it!
