It reminded me of Child Of Light. More details have emerged and apparently you can fully play the game offline. So no biggie ^^ (however the trophy-hunter in me is still worried).
I haven't played child of light, but I have seen a trailer of it and the graphics are kind of similar. Glad to hear there's an offline mode. I'm no achievement hunter so I'm not worried, but hopefully you can get them.
Well you SHOULD! Just make sure to play directly on hard mode as it's the "normal" mode. It's 15 dollars I think on PSN so not that expensive. And it's a bite-sized RPG; took me like 30 hours to fully complete. I cringe everytime someone mentions Bravely Default as a compelling battle system, since Child Of Light barries it 1000 feet under.
I regrettably hesitated picking up Child of Light. It's such a wonderful game. I was worried it lacked in the battle system department strangely enough. I was wrong.
Silence! I have to many vita games I haven't finished, and you guys are trying to get me to buy another? Maybe I should just burn all of my money and then hide under a rock where I could play vita games 24/7. Is that what both of you want? Man, people nowadays....
It's on hard mode that the battle system really shines, and you really have to strategize your actions and skills on ennemies; basically there's a battle gauge on the bottom of the screen with icons of all participants. Each has his own speed and thus scrolls along the gauge. Once you're in the action zone (logically at the far right/end of the gauge) you can choose your action. However, the twist is, if you and an ennemy are both inside the action zone, and you hit him, he gets knocked back and has to scroll back to the action zone again. This goes for for you too. If you get hit while inside of it, you lose precious moments of action. Donno if I'm explaining clearly lol. Anyway the soundtrack alone makes it worth it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93h-8MKG48s
I think I understand what you mean (even though that post was in no way directed towards me). If you don't take your turn/make an action fast enough than an enemy can attack and delay your turn and vice versa. At least that's what I got from it. It sounds neat... Wait a minute.... There you go trying to sell me a game again! Damn developers, stop pretending to nemerleb! What did you do to real nemerleb?!?
Very fun game -I got it when it first came out for the PS4 and it also is a beautiful game to look at. Story is not bad. Soundtrack is quite nice. Probably not going to double dip for the Vita though.
Story was little disappointment since I expected much better rhymes and not half-assed sentences. Anyway I wouldn't recommend having it on Steam, because I think you gotta have a UPlay account to play on Steam. Not worth the hassle. @Anu Consider it when it's on sale since you have a huge backlog. It's just a wasted opportunity not to experience the battle system. Other than that focus on your must-play games.
Yeah I'll definitely succumb and buy it eventually. Eventually will probably end up being tomorrow also. I'm always terrible at buying more games than I could play.
This is possibly a dumb question but.. Would it be possible to use the Vita as a 'controller' for the ipad? The vita supports Bluetooth...I think? I'm just wondering.
That is a pretty dumb question (hey, I'm not going to lie!), no, you can't. Bluetooth on the Vita can only be used with headphones/headsets and keyboards.
Lol please don't remind me about that. Just caved in and bought Demon Gaze even though I know Etrian Odyssey is superior in everyway. I got 13 euros out of selling Dangan 1 for Amazon and clearly couldn't sit on them for more than 10 min -.- Has Sony stopped PS1 Classics for PSN? I need Croc because so many memories!!!
Hey, there are no stupid questions. It would only be stupid if you didn't ask! Anyways, I don't think there is a way and I doubt there will be. I would imagine that someone would have to hack a vita and jailbreak an iPad and then try to find a way to code the vita as a remote. I doubt that would even work, but even if it did I would doubt that it would work. You can jailbreak an iDevice and get a tweak that allows you to use PS4 or Xbox controller to play games on iDevices.
Haha, so that explains why you make other people's wallets suffer, your own wallet is suffering! I was proud of myself the other day, I got some AMAZON credit the other day and I didn't spend it on a Vita game! I actually bought this thing called a book. Gasp! I think Sony are still allowing some PS1 games to be sold on the PSN. Just a couple of weeks ago they made Mega Man x4 and x5 available.
Der-Kleine! I saw something that may be considered spam under the "price drop" section of the forum. A guy is trying to sell iPhones at a cheaper price which just seems shady. Not sure if you would be able to do anything but uh... Sick em boy!
Hey Anubis - I tried to wiki "book" but it didn't work. Is it a new kind of game? Or a different platform for gaming? Inquiring minds want to know.
But I need my Croc fix!! Is it through that credit system you talked about once? What's the name again? Featurepoints? I'm interested but scared it might be too intrusive or harm my privacy and such...
Hahaha, ah good ol Pluto always making me laugh. Of course it isn't a game or a platform for gaming, they're the things that keep fires burning.
I don't know what Croc is, but it may be added eventually. Actually, they probably won't. I would apologize for breaking your heart, but I can't break what isn't there. Yeah, I got the card through Screenwise Panel. They basically want to check your browser usage info to see what's trending and just to be stalky. I believe they say the data they receive is anonymous but I'm sure somewhere they also state that grass is blue and the sky is green. For a computer you don't have to do anything except leave the plugin installed and for mobile you have to check in on an app each week. Other than that they will send you an email each week saying how much credit you got. I've gotten a few gift cards from them now, so they seem legit. I'm sure they have a huge file full of information they gathered about me, but there's free gift cards involved so oh well.
