We'll sir, that's the million dollar question. Also I've noticed a mildly disgusting looking control scheme of gesture hell. We will see.
Upon further investigation, it seems it's only half the game - not allowing US play. Elaboration! "On mobile, you play a field operative that has more limited access to the resources of the Agency, experiencing a subset of the same levels that you play on PlayStation. Youll still collect blueprints and dossiers though, and you will be able to combine the progress you are making across all the platforms. If you sync your mobile game with Vita or PlayStation 3, youll be able to share some of the cool exclusive PlayStation content, such as unique spy weapons, with your mobile field operative.
Good research Scot! That means it's a "demo"-kind of game to encourage people to buy the real deal on PSN? That way not only do they earn those 5 bucks, but additional PSN sales.
BAM! yep. That's what I gather. I'm interested in hearing what DK thinks about the entire "package" since he already has the Vita version.
Well I think they should have made up their mind on whether they were making a full game or a demo with the mobile version. I don't think there'll be a lot of people who're going to buy both. People who already have the PS version won't want it, since they're paying to play a lesser version of a game they already have. People who buy it on mobile first probably either don't have a PS device or won't have a big enough reason to spend three times as much money in addition to what they've already spent on a version that's not all that much better than the mobile one. I'm not sure exactly what is or isn't in the mobile version, but from a gameplay perspective the US bases are eaxtly the same as the USSR ones,so you aren't missing much. The different weapons that may or may not be missing (once again, I don't know the exact contents of the mobile version) don't make THAT much of a difference either.
Yeah it's less than clear what the mobile version offers to someone who owns the game on Vita. Weird port indeed.
Yes. ..I don't know why really, I never play online but yeah I started subscribing last month ..for some reason.
Don't Starve was part of PS+ for PS4, and even though the Vita version includes the expansion it is still free to original PS+ users. I thought that may have been the reason you got it free, but if you've only been subbed for a month it was probably just in error.
I don't play online either, but enough interesting items go free to make it worth it for me. I figure its sort of like RedBox and anything you purchase for a discount is always your. Plus, i think you have a PS4, and so games there will also be free or discounted provided you have them linked to the same email account.
Can anyone who platinumed Velocity Ultra explain to me how to achieve above average Xp on level 31? I'm rescuing every survivor, not taking any damage, with a time of 2:40 (where max is 3:05) and still not getting a perfect just a gold medal coz I'm only able to get 20 XP instead of 30. It's killing me not knowing why I can't freaking perfect this stage in particular. Any known bugs? Edit: Woop never mind just noticed after 20 hours in the game that they marked the high scores to reach for that...I feel even more stupid than normal and I owe Anu his sunday tea.

Is getting a vita still worth it? It's novelty has kind of worn off now, although it still looks tempting. It's also hard to decide between an nvidia shield or a vita...
I always answer the same thing for these kind of questions: log onto metacritic or gamefaqs and check all games already available on th system and the upcoming ones. See if Vita's price and games that interest you break even and you got your answer. If your question was related to the close release of another handheld by Sony then noone really knows. Especially after that shameful N3DS announcement, we can expect anything from gaming companies these days. So it's up to you to know if you're dying enough to play those games that interest you, or better off waiting for next gen.
I have bought both systems in the last month. I first bought the shield to use as an all-in-one emulation system, then I bought a Vita to go with my PS4 and to play rpgs on. I spent a week setting up 8-9 different emulators and literally over 1000 games on a 64gb sdcard. Since setting it all up, the shield hasn't been turned on once. My vita has been played every spare minute since I got it, I've not even used the PS4/360 but instead played on the vita. Tbh I'd say go for the Vita. But.. Should you want a shield and would consider buying a month old one, mine is for sale. Yeah, I've decided it was a poor choice and it's going to simply collect dust, so I'm trying to sell it and recoup a little of the money back. (Which isn't easy as I don't have an eBay account)
Well I've been using my Vita a lot more than my Shield Tablet for gaming in the past month since I got the Shield Tablet. At least the Shield Tablet is also a pretty decent tablet, so it's not too bad that I don't game too much on it, but I'd definitely recommend getting a Vita over a Shield Portable/Tablet for gaming.
