Fantastic explanation! I now somewhat understand the trophy aspect in gaming. Lit all makes sense and can respect that. Perhaps this will start to make me care with this new found perspective..

Oh I'm really glad all that made sense! But honestly that doesn't mean I respect all kind of trophy integration. I completely ignore trophies that require online/co-op, and "limited" trophies through deaths or time; these denaturate the essence of what a game is for me: something you have to enjoy at your own pace, alone or with someone, and what matters is the dedication and commitment you input. These are just fillers that put artificial obligations onto players

Where the **** can I get a brand new PS Vita Slim in the NYC area? Best Buy, Target, Gamestop, Toys R US, etc are all out. Is this some kid of bs marketing scheme?

Go to gamestop and get your name on the list. A shipment is supposed to get in at the end of August/early september. Its the Borderlands 2 slim bundle

Also, just finished Counterspy, would highly recommend it. I after beating it I can see there is replay value in it but I don't really feel any reason to go back and endlessy replay levels without some kind of ranking system, while It does have leaderboards they're something I don't care for. At $15 I'd do your research and find out if you're really gunna enjoy this game, otherwise just wait for a sale. Took 3-4 hours to beat so not bad lengthwise

Are the vita's running low on stocks in US? I don't think it is doing as well in the UK as there are always deals on and plenty for sale everywhere.

Loving FF X and Killzone at the moment. Also playing a little catch up on some downloaded games I picked up like Lone Survivor. I have to say that this is a quality game. Don't be fooled by the retro look. There is plenty of challenge going on here.

Does anyone know much about Freedom Wars and when it is likely to come out?

Vita's are low on stock in U.S. Though a few places online like Amazon has the BL2 bundle in stock. I believe retail stores won't be restocking until early September.

    Freedom wars launches:
    October 28 in US,
    Europe on the 29th
    U.K. Friday the 31st

I couldn't get into the new sly cooper game - would I still like the trilogy ? I'm thinking about God of war collection and I have less than $20 in my account.

Flash sales on both are 9.99

The only Sly that I liked (and this is NOT on the Vita) was the very first one. The others tried to get more complicated and expand on the theme, but for me just got boring.

The God of War collection is good - those are fun adventures and reasonable length if you like GoW. Controls on the handheld are good, although not as good as console due to lack of 2 shoulder buttons. Still a good romp.

Good prices for both of them though.

If you couldn't get into the new one it's very unlikely the old ones will please you. $10 is a pretty good price, though.

Despite mixed reviews I found GOW Collection Vita to be great. Sure there are a few technical issues and overall quality is not on par with the PS3 version but we're talking about two of the best action games ever released.

This is soooo annoying (and pointless), I'm hoping my infamous first light preorder isn't affected, it's roughly 29 hrs away.

All of you peasants have disobeyed me lately. No longer do any of you bring me my tea or coffee. No longer do any of you bow before me and clean the fungus that grows on my toes. No longer do any of you write songs in my name. Now, all of you must be punished. You're precious service is down. Next time you guys disobey me I shall have all of your PS4s replaced with toasters!

    MwahahahahaHA!

I heard the group behind it (lizard) were actually targeting a twitch gamer (Kripp) basically they went after every server he was trying to game on including Blizzard, PSN and a few others.

It's only a DDOS attack so it's unlikely to effect any preorder's etc but I couldn't say for sure hey wont still be after him.

Had a quick search and found a clip from the guy whining about it.

I'm liking Crimsonland on Vita (and PS4), but the Quest mode, while fun, is no where near as fun as the survival modes. For one thing in Quest mode you don't get to use any of the perks you unlock. They keep unlocking and I was confused about how to use them. It turns out you can't. Kind of weird. And you have to unlock them by playing Quest even though Survival is much more fun. I wish we could unlock perks and weapons by just playing Survival. Oh well. So that aspect of it isn't great, but still it's a very fun game. Especially the survival modes.

Today is your lucky day then, start any stage in Quest mode, pause the game, enter triangle / triangle / triangle / square and be happy :D

What does that do? Does that unlock all the perks and weapons??? Or does that let you use perks in Quest mode? Or something else? In any case I will give it a try tonight. Thanks!

Ah, found it. It unlocks perks in Quest Mode! Yeah! And thanks!
