Guys please tell me which PSP games have good quality on Vita screen? I hate PS1 poor quality.

    Aww I'm sorry. :(

Well if it makes you feel better, I think the weekly sale has been the same for like 3 weeks now.

I think psp games have a lot lower resolution than the vita, so all of them aren't going to look great. Not to mention that it had less power than the vita

During the Flash sale I got Thomas was alone (was very hesitant but now am not regretting one bit the purchase) and Velocity Ultra. Perfected 30 stages but do you guys feel like the controls are not as quick as the demanding gameplay wants it to be? Like teleporting for example is a bit more punishable when you use the touch screen than when you use the square button. Even when using the touch screen it would be a bit unresponsive. Also I was turned off by the fact survivors don't "stick" to the ship when you're going too fast (the whole point of the game) and you have to backtrack a bit in order to properly collect them. Donno if I'm explaining this in a good way? But yeah being the OCD over-achiever gamer, I had to put the game aside and stop playing it because good skills aren't rewarding me.

Man, I wanted to buy both of them but I was subscribed to them through Plus. I was kind of annoyed that Sony hasn't set up a way to buy items you are subscribed to.

Anyways, I only played a little bit of both games. I never had any issues with Velocity Ultra, but then again I don't think I made it that far. I was the same way, I wouldn't go to the next stage unless I completed it perfectly.

So you can't actually buy games for keeps when you get them for free through PS+? That's lame...

Thomas Was Alone is good; like not great nor mediocre. But that low volume is irritating for a game like this. Even with my Vita's highest speaker level It still isn't satisfying enough. I can't complain about Velocity since I got it for a dollar.

Did you hear the news about The Unfinished Swan being ported to PS4 and Vita? Apparently it got listed in the rating boards: http://gematsu.com/2014/07/unfinished-swan-rated-ps4-ps-vita-korea

I'm actually OK with all these ports since I didn't get the chance to play them the first time around.

The problem with trying to buy free PS+ games is that rather than a "Buy" button you'll see a "download" button on the store page. You'd have to wait for your PS+ subscription to expire to actually buy those games yourself.

Oh that makes sense since it would be considered as a "double purchase" if you follow my reasoning. Still very smart of them to have this method implemented. This is why I never understood the reasonning of people who hated on this year's Nintendo Rewards, by saying Sony is "rewarding" players with "free" games.

good quality doesn't mean its great, but to mention few of them: resistance(psp), god of war ghost of sparta(for some reason this looks much better than chain of olympus), motostorm arctic edge (too bad sony got it pulled from us psn store for some security reason(exploit)).

No PSP or PS1 game will run at 480p. The PSP's resolution is 480 x 272 (272p) and from what I can gather PS1 games ran at 240p (or 480i, but interlacing sucks and I don't thing it's supported in the Vita's PS1 emulator)

With all that said, the God of War PSP games look a lot better than any other PSP game I've played on my Vita (which admittedly isn't a long list, since the only other PSP games I've played are MGS Peace Walker and Ace Combat Joint Assault)

    http://us.playstation.com/support/systemupdates/psp/history/index.htm#update330

The following types of files can now be played in the "VIDEO" folder.
    – MPEG-4/H.264 AVC Main Profile (AVC CABAC) video files of the following sizes:
    720 X 480, 352 X 480, or 480 X 272
    * Depending on the data type, some files cannot be played.

    With 3.30 Firmware YES it's 720x480

So i need more PSP 480P games like Ghost of Sparta, any list?

^ I've never owned a PSP but I would say the above is only for supporting files that have been encoded at those resolutions and down sampling them to play on the PSP screen, not actually rendering them at 420p.

A little late on the boat but a friend finally convinced me to buy Persona 4 Golden. Before I bought it the whole premise seemed strange but once everything goes into action the game is incredibly solid and the battle mechanics are just so satisfying. I'm not the biggest fan of jrpgs but this one has me hooked and I think my 11 or so hours of gameplay can vouch for that. It's an absolute steal for $20, please buy it if you haven't done so yet.

Just forget the damned resolutions, grab the Patapon games and be happy :D

Maybe not your cup of tea, though :(

For the life of me, I'll never figure out why there's no Vita Patapon game, it fits so perfectly I just can't understand at all.

I just joined the vita club. Pretty stoked about it actually. Was playing Breath of Fire IV last night along with Spelunky and I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Looks like a lot of stuff. I did not go through the whole list and I don't want to be a fly in the soup, but it is disappointing seeing a lot of games that are currently on other platforms (specifically iOS) that are going to be substantially more expensive more than the iOS counterparts. Now, this can be good with games that really control better with joysticks, but many of these games control just fine with the touchscreen.
That all being said, I think that the system is going to continue to have some excellent titles and it seems that many of the old classics are being upgraded and ported to newer systems and I am OK with that. As long as they continue to have at least some new AAA titles coming out, I will be happy.

The iOS "ports" are a very small minority in the grand scheme of things really. My gripe is that all of these are digital-only indies that are gonna have to be downloaded on a memory card, and Sony is still stupid enough to sell those at an extremely high price.
Like you said there aren't any real incentives to re-purchase games that are already out on iDevices, and a handful is Vita-exclusive. The implementation of trophies for achievement hunters can be decisive.
The most logical thing for Sony was to encourage devs to port games from non-portable devices to Vita instead of doing ports of already portable games since people interested in that form of gaming already have them. Steam comes to mind with a LOT of indie games only available on PC. Vita could have benefited from being the only handheld to run these games.

Awesome list! Even if a lot of those are going to PC as well, I'm happy because I don't have a proper/capable gaming PC. It's looking more and more like I made the right choice in purchasing a vita. I only justified it off the existing library of PS1 and vita games. Thanks for the link!
