Pshhh, I've had that pre ordered for a year now. I'm getting the collectors edition. At first I was watching it and I was like it's not too bad. Then it got halfway through and I was like "My goodness, that evil bastard!"
Yeah some of the characters are. There is one that is really bad and one that is scary, but other than that it isn't too bad. I mean at least you don't have to stroke the vita or anything like that.
So I finished Child of Light and it easily surpassed all my expectations. Soundtrack is phenomenal, one of the best I ever heard in a game. It's also the most beautiful game on Vita ATM IMO. Story is silly and definitely on the childish side but I liked it somehow. Maybe it just fits the mood of the game or it's charming, don't know, really. Only thing that holds the game from greatness is the combat system, shallow and uninspired. I don't think the game is for everyone, many will find it a bit too artsy, but for those who love games like Journey and classical music (soundtrack is mostly orchestrated) this game is a must-buy.
Glad to hear the positive comment. I may have to check it out sometime, though I haven't seen much about it. The only thing I worry about is if the combat is shallow I may get bored easily. I need to look at a video of this, but I'm afraid of spoilers.
Yeah I'm currently 5 hours in, and can confirm I was expecting something else from the combat system. I have no idea why everyone praised it: it's really cumbersome to use the fairy thing to slow down ennemies or cure yourself. It's the same case scenario I found myself in when I played the Bravely Default demo; an immersive RPG only let down by the combat system.
The other day I was thinking back to when I used to play the original Playstation a lot. Two of my favorite games were Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. Then I remembered how the vita can play some PS1 games so I decided to check to see how much they cost in the store. I was surprised to see that to neither of them are in the store at all, which made me wonder why they aren't. Does anyone know why?
Why Crash and Spyro aren't available on the PSN store is just as much of a mystery as to why Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep aren't available on the PSN store.
So slightly off topic, but what are everyone's thoughts on the PlayStation TV? Of course I'm gonna wait until it's released, but I'm looking at it as a cheap alternative to play Vita games. Portability isn't an issue, and most of the games I want to play don't use any of the unique touch features. Still, for those who have a vita, what do you think?
All Kingdom Hearts games will never see digital releases due to a licensing issues concerning Utada Hikaru's songs. Frankly why why WHY has Croc disappeared completely?? Like it was huge when I was a kid, but it just got killed off
Well, I never really liked kingdom of Hearts. Crisis Core on the other hand I love but Square are douches so I don't expect them to allow us to buy it. What a shame about the others, I say we rebel until we get those.
Nope, they are available for the Vita in non-US stores. A few months ago they unexpectedly became available in US but a few days later were removed again. People are asking about these games forever in the PS Blog (US) comments, I don't remember a single answer ever being given.
That's really strange... Maybe some form of legal rights? I'm just guessing. Thanks for the info though.
I just really felt like posting this thing I made here (I'm sure you all know about Modern Combat 5.):
I want another FPS to rival Killzone on the Vita, sadly nothing seems to come anywhere close. I was hoping they'd done the Resistance game well but unfortunately not.
Yeah I doubt we will see another shooter unless it is based on women in bikinis carrying around 1000 pound guns and involves mating with other people to level up.
