PS+ is great. Free games and good discounts in sales. Plus backup saves to the cloud. It's worth it.

It's pretty good for now. I've only seen one discount for plus members which was like 10% off. I feel like when I play all of their free games I'm probably am going to stop playing. Maybe they will have more discounts in the future but I'm not sure if it would be worth keeping. I don't have a ps3 or 4 so I don't benefit in that area either.

You get new games every month. This month in the US we are getting Surge Deluxe (I already have it) and Limbo (I don't have the Vita version, so this is cool). Of course you're not always interested in them. If you only have Vita it might not seem as worthwhile, I guess. But I like cloud saves as well.

If you can pick up a 12 month at a discount it's a better deal. I think I paid $30 or $35 (US) for my last 12 month sub. I do have a PS3 too, though, and I'm getting a PS4 later this year and have been saving up free games for it. I'm up to 7 or 8 games now that I'll have without having to buy any games at all, plus whatever other ones are added before then. :)

Ohhh okay, didn't realize they updated the library every month. If I could get 12 months for $30 then I'd probably continue to subscribe. Pretty cool that you have a library of games waiting when you get a PS4

At retail. I got 2 $35/ year cards. I believe they are stackable out to 3 years. I know I have 2 years of PS+. Watch for the sales on these. Slickdeals.net is a good place to watch, also for discounted PSN cards.

As noted above with a PS3 / PS4 system, the value increases dramatically, but even without, there are generally a number of pretty good free releases or significant discounts for Vita, sort of depends on whether one would buy those games otherwise.

I am wondering how PS Now is going to affect both PS+ and PSN.

Yeah it's good if you have all 3 supported systems, I previously had just a PS3 and didn't feel PS+ was worth it (it was still good, but I can be tight), got a Vita for the remote play when I got my PS4 and it's a very good deal.

Just remember to get the other systems games off the website to tie to your account otherwise you'll miss out on past ones if you ever got a PS4.

Spelunky 1.0.3 update is out, but it's got a bad crash bug at least on PS3. :( If you throw a bomb in the Black Market it crashes the PS3 instantly at least some of the time. 2 out of 3 times for me tonight. Once during my Daily Challenge run (so no DC score for me tonight) and once when I was playing coop with one of my kids. One other time it did not crash, so it's not 100% of the time, but 2 out 3 isn't good. I guess it's possible that the Vita version may not have the bug. I haven't tried it on there yet. Not sure if anybody here plays Spelunky, but figured I'd give the heads up. I've tried to report the bug to Derek Yu and BlitWorks. No response yet.

I guess there's no way to go back a version. In fact I think it forces you to update. I guess if you were to disconnect from the net it wouldn't see the update, though.

Nope, no problems here. Even in sleep mode the downloads continue.

Make sure you have a good wifi connection and have "Use Wi-Fi in Power Save Mode" unchecked. (under Settings > Power Save Settings)

Is the offline earned trophies system reliable (unlike iOS?). I downloaded Runner2 and played offline, earning a bunch of trophies. When I went online again and entered the trophies app, it showed completely empty. Then I re-opened Runner2 and got a corrupted save data notification, even though I could carry from where I left off.
It's a brand new Vita with a brand new mem stick that I formatted directly when I first booted the Vita. Any help on things to avoid?

Earning trophies offline has never failed me, the state of your trophies is saved locally and uploaded to PSN every time you open the trophies app while having an internet connection.

Must have had some bad luck or there's something wrong with the game's coding. Gaijin Games are god aweful when it comes to porting their games (Bit trip saga is so laggy on 3DS, and that ios port of Runner 2 is horrid). Thanks for the response.

I don't remember having any issues with Runner 2 on the Vita either though.

I think the corrupted save data must have had something to do with it. Anw I reformatted everything and hopefully it'll work out. thnx
