Steamworld Dig, very very good port from the 3ds. Easiest way to describe it is to point at Mines of Mars. 2 dollar discount for plus members.

Just got my feet wet in Steamworld Dig. Mines of Mars definitely found its inspiration here, with afew notable differences.

. In steam world, you can take fall damge
. In steam world you dont craft, you just turn the ores in to the townsfolk and spend the cash on town and character upgrades.
. In steam world vita, there are trophies. Unlike the 3ds version.
. In steam world you can mine up.

Great little game, good price at 7 dollars. Dig down, collect ores, turn in ores for cash, improve yourself and the town. Lots of things to fight, multiple 'weapon/tool' types, several entirely different enviroments, good story.

    Get it :)

Those who are interested in Borderlands 2, here is some off screen footage early on in the game

Unfortunately, you cannot use the second analog stick to rotate the camera but I was able to get through the game without too much issue with the controls.

I find the Vita screen too small for me to play many, but not all, games comfortably. For instance, I have no issue at all with Hot Shots Golf, but I am much more comfortable playing Spelunky on my PS3. Probably, this is because there are many tiny objects in Spelunky.

Steamworld Dig looks interesting to me, but I think this will be a problem for me on the small Vita screen. Any comments?

It was designed for a even smaller 3ds game screen, it looks fantastic on the vita :)

I was debating getting a second vita for the BL2 bundle, but also to use it as a Japanese account system for Phantasy Star and Assault Gunners. I really need to look up info on doing this though ... As I think I can do this by switching memory cards.

You can, but as far as I know you have to pretty much re-setup your Vita every time you switch.

Thank you mate for your feedback so i skip this I guess PS1 games are really better than PSP games on Vita, for instance RE3 is really cool for playing with Vita :) if you know more PS1 games with supporting analog sticks, let me know :)

Some PSP games work really well on the Vita though.

A great example is Ace Combat Joint Assault, since that let's you rebind the keys to whatever you want.
So by putting the throttle and yaw controll of the planes on the d-pad and setting the right stick to duplicated the d-pad in the emulation settings you can have full controll of the planes using both sticks, which is way better than what was possible on the PSP. (=> Left stick to tilt the plane up/down/left/right, right stick to accelerate/decelerate/turn left/turn right)

Based on comments here I purchased Steamworld Dig and I am totally digging it ;-). It is easy to get into and just a lot of fun to play. Plus, it looks great on my Vita screen.

Thanks to the folks who posted about it.

I also bought SteamWorld Dig and Limbo, but I haven't even fired them up yet. Luftrausers has taken over everything. Great game.

Which one is better for purchasing Dustforce or SteamWorld Dig?

Any feedback from Dustforce? I just got the demo version but it's so limited besides it looks cool but is it really good? I don't like Capcom and don't want to support them since they don't support more vita games and don't want to bring big titles such as RE to vita.

I haven't played either (well, only the demo for Dustforce), but I think I heard that unlocking new levels or worlds (one of the two) is really hard in Dustforce since you have to complete previous levels pretty much perfectly or something.

In other words: I'd go with Steamworld Dig.

Luftrausers is superb! And so tough, but I finally destroyed a blimp last night. Woohoo! :) What you unlock. Holy….
