Thanks! That's what I was wondering, I'll probably wait for a NA release then. Just out of curiosity, do you know if the original owners will be able to buy it as an expansion or something?
Nope, it's already out in Japan, you can watch the first ~2 hours of it on this guy's channel (with english commentary) Plus wether it's on a Vita TV or a regular Vita wouldn't make a difference when directly captured (which the footage mentioned above is), since they both output in the same resolution.
Haven't posted in a while but glad to see the thread still active. Currently taking EDF 2017 seriously for a potential platinum. Fun, but grueling at the same time.
EDF is fun in short bursts. I can't imagine trying for Platinum, but generally I don't go for that in games anyway.
Luftrausers, SteamWorld Dig next week. I want both but only have $16 PSN credit and no extra on horizon since saving for PS4. So, tough decision.
Is there any place where you can see which games will be in the PS store update? I'm spoiled with iOS release threads here. I got the Project Diva demo last week and I totally suck at it. Also, I apparently don't love Japanese Pop music. Good thing there was a demo I guess. Also, I thought perhaps Mutant Mudds went free on iOS because it would finally be released on Vita, so I searched and found that people in the US already got it last year! That's just mean. I have no idea why companies do that (according to Sony it's not them, it's the publisher).
The US playstation blog has a post a day or so in advance with the games coming to the store, called "The Drop". You have to go back a page to see the current one. http://blog.us.playstation.com Here: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/03/09/the-drop-new-playstation-releases-for-march-11th-2014/ I'm not sure if the EU blog has something similar. Also Sony has had trouble this week because the store has not updated yet - it was supposed to yesterday!
In the EU they have a "New on the PlayStation Store" post every wednesday at 3PM GMT (or for me 4PM CET) - pretty much at the same time as the new releases appear on the store. For example here's the latest post from about an hour ago. In general I'd recommend simply following your regional Playstation twitter account (Like PlayStation EU), since they'll tweet whenever there's something new on the blog for that region, where they mostly post previews, release date & sale announcements, store updates and some other stuff.
Yes, I know about the EU blog, and the fact that the update is posted so late in the day was what prompted my question I wish they did it like in the US, a day before sounds nice. Not a big deal, but I figured, maybe there's a Playstation forum like TA where they post threads about upcoming games or something. Quiet week for Vita this week. I guess I was spoiled with the great new games and the great sales of the past few weeks. I was looking through the PSN store and saw Mercury Meltdown on there. I loved that when it came out on Wii. Anyone know how that is on the Vita? It's a PSP game, should I be worried about blurry visuals?
US store update is now slated for Thursday. Or at least they say they hope to have it updated on Thursday. So strange. Wonder what happened?
It's pretty annoying, though I'm not that interested in anything this week anyway (unless a surprise sale with good stuff pops up). Otherwise I'm just waiting for next week's release of Luftrausers and Steamworld Dig. Hopefully they aren't delayed (and the PS+ discount isn't delayed).
Wanna purchase "Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories" for my PS Vita, any feedback? the control are good?
I don't know how FFX / FFX-2 Remaster looks on the Vita, but it looks phenomenal on the PS3. I really wish this had a Cross Buy, or even some deal for an extra $10 to get both versions. If it looks as good on the Vita as the PS3, this would be an excellent game to get for Final Fantasy fans.
I made a Luftrausers gameplay video if any of you are interested in that game: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Still need some practice...
