TxK is so good. I'll definitely play more once I get bored of Toukiden. I wish releases for the Vita were this good all of the time. Anyone play Y's? Thinking of that for my next Vita game.
I got those two. Haven't played Surge Deluxe yet but TxK is so much better than I thought it'd be, even with all the great reviews. I didn't really follow all the hype and news since it was announced, so I didn't really know what to expect. My top score for Pure Mode is around 580,000. Not very good, but this is the kind of game I can see myself playing again and again, improving all the time.
Hello, I was wondering about getting the new BL2 slim vita. I heard a lot of people complaining that the screen is a major downgrade and it feels cheaply made. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with it?
Just get it and screw peolpe new slim ps vita is cool as previous version **** the display screen it has longer battery life
Yeah I was thinking the same. I think people get used to their electronics and don't like small changes. As long as nothing is really wrong with it I'll probably get it, it's a great deal anyway. Thanks!
Contrast won't be as good and blacks won't be as deep, but most people probably wouldn't notice unless the two screens were side by side. Your iPad uses an LED screen, so what the person was saying is if you happy with that you should be happy with a slim.
This is one highscore game where I couldn't care less about leaderboards, apparently. I'm happy enough just finishing levels and improving my own score. I love the level progression system, that the game saves your best score and best lives for every level, and that you can start with that again. It feels more fair than always being able to start with three lives, and it's way better than always having to start at zero again. I really feel the game is perfect this way.
I've yet to play anything other than Pure Mode. That level progression system is familiar from Minter's games on iOS.
Futuridium EP Deluxe http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/02/18/psychedelic-shoot-em-futuridium-ep-deluxe-coming-ps-vita/
I got a copy of Surge Deluxe for free (giveaway). I'm glad it was free. I played it a few times and I doubt I'll ever touch it again. It's frantic, but not really much fun. TxK is sooo good. I'm up to 1.2+ million in Pure mode. I mostly play Pure mode. If anyone wants to compares scores, send me a friend request: Crunchewy. Just say you're from TA and that it's for TxK (or Spelunky - I still play the Daily Challenge every day pretty much). My one gripe with TxK is the friends leader board. Why does it list all friends, even ones without the game (or just without a score in that particular mode)? It should only list people with a score.
Friend request sent, Crunchy. If anyone wants to add me my username is Andy_C83. If you send a request just let me know that you're from TA, thanks.
Hello, I had a few more questions about the vita. 1.) What is the average size of a 3D AAA game? Also, where is the best place to get memory cards cheaper? 2.) Are the any PSP ports available? I used to have that system and I loved Monster Hunter and Patapon Thanks
1.) Depends. It's usually something between 1 and 4 GB 2.) The Vita can emulate the PSP, so any of the PSP games that are available in the PS Store will run on it (not every game is available, but most of the big PSP games are). If you've bought a PSP game digitally you can redownload it for free. The PSP emulation also allows you to use the right stick as a replacement for say the dpad or XO[]/\ buttons, which can improve the controlls in some PSP games. The downside is that since it's just an emulation the games will look a little blocky on the screen, since they are upscaled. (The Vita has four times as many pixels as the PSP). So technically these aren't ports, but you can play quite a few games from the PSP's library on a Vita.
Killzone Mercenary is a bit over 4 GB after the patch, but that is I think the largest game out. There are PSP games that work on the Vita. Some have gone free via PS+ in the past. For example I have the Grand Theft Auto game. I'm forgetting the name offhand. As far as cheaper memory cards, I'd recommend looking on ebay or something like that. Buy a used one. I bought a used 32 GB for $55. Still a ripoff, but not as bad as retail.
