I finished the Amateur levels of OlliOlli. Completed all goals for urban and junkyard, now working on the rest. I really love this game. It is deeper than it looks, but the same time, it is totally possible to enjoy the game without knowing anything about tricks and grinds and spins. I generally just push my stick from in different directions and hold a shoulder button while grinding from time to time and that was enough to finish all the levels and to get many score goals (I got the 500K maxi combo on the last level that way for example). Has anyone of you unlocked RAD mode yet?
I'm totally addicted to my Vita. This is not good! I hope I'll finish this game soon (for whatever definition of finish I'll settle on) so that I can go back to work. Or I thought maybe I'd do the opposite of Andy and buy four new games to get my mind out of this one There's a new bundle coming out with Lone Survivor (survival horror), Thomas Was Alone (puzzle platformer), Proteus (exploration), Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark : http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/01/28/curve-studios-mega-bundle-offers-up-amazing-indie-value-tomorrow/. I'm not interested in Lone Survivor, but the other 3 look good. I should play Spelunky again too, but I suck at it so much... In OlliOlli you die after a short level of less than a minute, that's not too bad, immediately try again. In Spelunky, it's so frustrating to die in the fourth room, after ten or so minutes of play, yet again not anywhere closer to a new shortcut. I keep thinking I must be missing something. Sometimes levels just seem impossible.
Stealth Inc is fantastic. Thomas Was Alone is pretty good (I'm slowly working my way through it). Proteus I have never played and it sounds like it could either be relaxing or dreadfully dull, but I am curious about it. I have played a little of Lone Survivor and I liked it. If I didn't already own those three games I'd have bought this pack. It's a good deal if you don't have any of them!

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm wondering. The reviews I read just make me think that if I want to see sunset and sunrise and the changing seasons I'll just go outside. I don't even know if that makes me a cynic or not I think I'll like Thomas and Stealth Inc though, so it's still a good deal. I thought I would take a break from OlliOlli yesterday but that didn't really work out. I now discovered that going for a highscore in earlier levels is still fun, even without a proper leaderboard (though I still really hope they'll fix that) and trying to squeeze out more points almost makes it a different game for me.
I pretty new to it but I'd say VITA for me personally, largely depends on the type of gaming you're into.
For a deeper and more satisfying experience, my Vita. For a quick pickup type game while killing time, my iPhone. Honestly, if you anyone is primarily a handheld gamer, having an iOS device plus a Vita and 3DS is more than gratifying. I find I always have something to play and each system offers me something that the other doesn't. Lately though, the 3DS and Vita have been my primaries.
There is going to be a demo for Dustforce. I'm going to give that a try. I bought OlliOlli (which is great). Definitely getting TxK - I can't wait for it!
My Vita! I might still be in the honeymoon period but I think the Vita is amazing. For me the difference between Rayman Jungle/Fiesta Run and Rayman Origins/Legends says it all. They are all fantastic games, but Origins/Legends are on a different level of fantastic. Yeah, rub it in
Definitely my Vita, though I guess I can't really comment since the iPod Touch 4 is barely capable of playing any new iOS games. Still, the 5" screen, controll options (physical and touch controlls), good battery life and higher quality of games (feel more "complete", polished and less cash-grabbing) would make me like the Vita more even if I had a newer iDevice. My problem right now is that the Vita is getting way too many JRPGs (I generally really don't like JRPGs because of their repetetive, grindy nature, and, as Totalbiscuit would call it "anime bullshit") and not enough Western games or (IMO) good japaneese games (Metal Gear Solid, Ace Combat for example).
Yeah, unfortunately most iOS games still lack the depth and quality of Vita games. I do like them though for a short session when I know I can't commit to say half an hour of gameplay. Also I'm more likely to carry my iPhone around than my Vita. So I guess both serve different purposes for now, though I'm hoping to discover more rich game experiences on iOS in the future.
Now that I have a 32 GB memory card I was able to install Killzone Mercenary (got it when it was on sale for I think it was $8 here in the US, as a download). So far I'm enjoying it. I've only played the single player and just a tiny bit of the multiplayer. I think I will always suck at the multiplayer and probably won't really enjoy it, but the single player is probably worth the amount I paid. The game does look great for sure.
Thinking about grabbing a Vita but i am a little worried as to how much I will play it with an iPhone/iPad.
The save system is a bit crud but in a few ways I've found the SP more enjoyable than the PS4 title, bots and new free maps are meant to be coming in the next content patch, should be good for pick up and play.
