I'm really enjoying Tearaway. Such a fun, creative game that just brings a smile to my face. Here is a photo I took in game pimping my new games to the natives in Tearaway... It's a shame they prolly don't have iOS devices or money. http://tearaway.me/p/scmn
Media Molecule is a first-party developer, and the Vita needs as many exclusives as possible. Tearaway is awesome though. It has become my surprise Game of the Year candidate.
Picked up Tearaway the other day and I'm loving it. I got a nice little Atoi keychain/charm thing for preordering. I haven't felt so much joy playing a game in a long time. Mm did an excellent job- game looks beatiful, arguably the best looking Vita game on the system, and the game is just so polished. You can tell they put a lot of love into it. Prolly my Vita GoTY (sorry Killzone: Mercenary and Soul Sacrifice)
Amazon and Best Buy have Tearaway for $29.99! I ordered a copy from Amazon. This is in the US. It's going to be an xmas gift for me, so I have to wait .
Turned on my Vita got an error PSN is not signed in Entered my password etc a few times and it claims it's not recognised look online apparantly Sony just decided to change peoples passwords without even telling them or letting them know. Try forgotten password asks for DOB so I enter it - not recognised Search their helpsite for 30 minutes finally find a phone number Get to an automated call which makes me go through several menus then tell me I need a different number which it reads off in about 2 or 3 seconds before I'm even prepared and then hangs me up. Starting to get really really mad at Sony and thinking I'm glad I didn't buy a PS4 yet. Went back to the sign in and try to remember if I ever gave it the wrong DOB as I always used to fake all of my details and when I made this account it was likely back at the launch of the PSP. I decide it's likely Sony's DOB that's wrong and start working my way from the 1970's upwards using their SEN site, after several attempts it clicks and says it's sent me a password reset (why the heck can't they do that after changing someones pass randomly) Check my email - nothing and most things get there instantly Become really mad at Sony I'm about to go onto reddit and post about it just then ding the email arrives at 45 minutes later. Good to go again now but boy that company knows how to seriously wind me up I'm still having second thoughts about the PS4 now.
I got that same problem last night. I thought I'd been hacked! I was able to reset it with their form, but if you entered a bogus birth date then you'd have a problem. I'm just glad it wasn't a hacking thing. All is well now.
Yeah my much younger self probably changed the year for some reason (maybe for rated titles or something) but lucky enough I kept my actual month and day or I never would have got back in. My biggest annoyance was having to track done why my password stopped working I think if Sony does something like that they should at least email you to say they have or ideally just email you the password reset straight away.
I actually am not sure if it wasn't a hacking thing. All of a sudden many people (me included) get their passwords reset without any previous warning? That's strange. And Sony acts like it are all isolated incidents. I thought it was really annoying that the login form kept insisting that I did something wrong, even though I was sure I didn't. If they have to reset passwords, at least let us know "hey, we had to reset your password, please click here to make a new one" or something like that.
Info on the next updates for Killzone Mercenary: Update 3 ("should be ready in the next few weeks"): - "minimal changes" - reduces filesize of patches, freeing up about 800 mb Update 4 (due in January): - improves matchmaking - team-rebalancing feature Update 5: - two new MP maps (for free!) - Offline Botzone - Guerilla Warfare modes (Price TBC) Screenshots: Update 6 ("first few months of 2014"): - Vita TV support
Hot damn, offline bots - used to love mp matches with bots in red faction 2 for blowing off steam. I'm also dying for space on my memory card - good news in file size change. Side note: 8 gb cards for Vita will be $9.99 starting on Black Friday at GameStop.
Offiline bots should definiteliy help me get that Blood bank achievement. So far I have about 6500 of the 10000 kills needed for it. (And I have every other trophy for the game!)
Offline bots should be there from the beginning, I haven't bought the game yet mostly because I (and I suspect many, many people) use my Vita on the go offline the vast majority of the time, so making an online-MP focused shooter for a PORTABLE device makes no sense at all IMO. EDIT: Teknikal, I received the password reset e-mail... but didn't have to change anything and still logging in to PSN as usual. Go figure.
Sony sent me an email about the password reset… yesterday. What a ridiculously terrible way to handle it. LOL. It sounds like it was not exactly a hacking situation, but it was a preventative measure for some suspicious activity. So I'm glad they did it, but really wish they had emailed us at the same time.
PLAYSTATION®MOBILE EXPANDS TO 18 COUNTRIES including mine I am really happy with that. More options are good. Though I also think maybe all these options are a tad confusing. I thought "Yay, now I can play Pix 'n Love Rush on my Vita" but apparently I already could, because that's a PS Mini. And Jetpack Joyride too. But not Super Crate Box, Rymdkapsel and Little Acorns (those are in PS Mobile). I know that it probably makes sense if you look at the backend, but for me as a Vita user, it's somewhat strange. Still, good news, and now I already have Pix 'n Love Rush on my Vita, which is awesome (I suck at it though. Maybe virtual controls weren't as limiting as I thought?)
Do NOT get Jet Pack Joyride as a PS Mini. Jet Pack Joyride has a propper Vita version, so get that instead if you want to play the game on your Vita. PS Minis are essentially small PSP games, meaning that they are upscaled and can't make use of the Vita's full functionallity (touchscreen). PS Mobile games on the other hand are ports of smartphone games (=> Run at the Vita's full resolution) and usually only make use of the touchscreen, though they can use the buttons (or at least some buttons like the start button) as well.
Oh wow, it's even more confusing than I thought! Thanks for explaining. I do like Pix 'n Love Rush a lot (and the resolution is fine for the pixel graphics), it's also the full version of the game, with the new modes. I did notice that the touchscreen didn't work in the menu's, so now I know that that's because it's a mini. One reason why I like some of those games on Vita is that they use buttons instead of touchscreen. Am I wrong in assuming that I can use buttons to navigate in games like Super Crate Box (a PS Mobile game)?
I did not know you could get Super Crate Box for Vita! I will definitely be grabbing that! Hmm… I just searched on the web store and no sign of Super Crate Box. ???
