You can back up to both the PS3 and PC. (Just select which one you want to back up to in the CMA). Oh and I'll have one more Killzone multiplayer video (on the map Marketplace) later today. I think I'll stop after that one though. (Making these videos is a lot of work.)
Well, what you see is what you get. Here's another one of the new maps (Marketplace): Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Should have tried the beta before selling your Vita. It was amazing- no slowdown in the beta, and it was practically bug/lag free. I only experienced lag a couple of times, but it was never on a game wide basis- it was always one player with a bad connection (so it wasn't the fault of the server). I can't speak for the full version of the game though.
Man another ps vita game that gets bad review. Expected at least 8.5 from it. Now people are gonna bash it so bad... People who played beta is loving it but people who probably don't own vita isn't much going to buy it
So... Rayman Legends is great fun. Easier than Origins so far. That could be a turn off for some, but personally it's just fine for me. Even the Rayman Origins levels (Back to Origins) seem easier (i've only played 3 though.) Not in extreme like with the touch based murfy levels just yet though--much prefer the rayman ones. People were upset because the Invasion Mode levels (i guess these are speedrun levels) were missing from the Vita version of Legends, but Ubisoft has said there will be a free patch.
Killzone Mercenary is gonna be great. I take the reviews with a grain of salt. Pure personal opinion. After hours of hands on time with the mulitplayer I can say that this is a must buy for vita owners. IMO of course
Most reviews are positive. Then there's a few low review scores (5.5-6). Pretty much all of the low review scores are from UK. There's like no reviews from the US yet, so the average may go up. Definitely not at a bad average though, but it could be better.
Actually I'm pretty sure there are at least one or two. I don't remember the dart gun (a single shot pistol that shoots an incapacitating dart) being in the Beta, but maybe that was just one of the like 3 weapons I didn't buy... I feel like many of the (more negative) reviews completely left out all of the little details that the game has. For exampe: How many mentioned the excellent sound design? Not verry many. As many of you probably noticed during the beta, you can actually hear where someone is. Sounds also change based on your location (more echoy sounds in buildings and caves vs outside for example). Remember how Infinity Ward announced that as a big new feature for Call of Duty Ghosts at their multiplayer reveal event? Chances are these reviewers would mention stuff like that when/if they review that game, but they didn't here. And that's not even the end of it. How many reviews mentioned neat little touches like how guns sound differently the emptier their magazine is? You can actually hear when an enemy needs to reload! And my personal favourite: The way people scream and cough when they're on fire, in the cloud of a gas grenade or incapacitated. It really adds to the immersion and is also kind of useful, since you can hear when and where you hit someone when you randomly throw a napalm grenade up onto a ledge above you. The other problem is of course that many seem to be comparing it to a full 60$ console game, which is simply unfair since it's neither 60$ nor on a home console.
Really disappointed reviewers are saying they beat killzone in 3 hours and the single player was repetitive what happened to the nine 45 min long levels. I guess I was putting to much hope in this game. I'll still be picking it up as it's the only game I've been waiting on but I expected better than I'm reading.
To me reviews are not always true. Trust me. Especially considering this game is $40? I think it's totally worth it
I'll definitely be picking it up after my next paycheck waited too long for it not to, I've even been playing Unit 13 + Resistance again to get used to the Vita dual sticks and finding myself enjoying them more than I originally did. Original Killzone review I read was playstation lifestyle but I've read a few others now and the game looks promising enough. Guess I'll wait until I have it and form my own opinion.
Spelunky - I've had a few 1-1 to 4-2 runs in the past several days. The Temple is so difficult. I figure I'm going to get to Olmec soon, though. I have played Spelunky way more on Vita than I ever played it on the Xbox (and I haven't launched it on PS3 once yet, but I mean too). As I suspected this is an ideal portable game. So good. BUT I do hope they see fit to bring the daily challenge to the Vita/PS3/Xbox. I am envious of that feature of the PC version.
It's likely they're looking at the in game clock for the amount of time they've played it. According to several people on NeoGAF, the actual time they spent playing was 7+ hours, but it showed up as around 3-4. It doesn't seem to count retries/deaths, and it may not count time spent in Blackjack kiosks, etc. If you have someone to play with, try crossplay over LAN between the Vita and PS3. It's better than the multiplayer on other platforms, as you aren't confined to a single screen. Really fun.
