I love Motorstorm, but it's not transferable to the Vita which sucks. Split/Second is great as well, but another one I could not transfer.
Just get motorstorm rc for the vita-awesome! And of course god of war-buy the psp ones suck, now god of war 3 on Vita would be good or the 4th when comes out And loved Burnout on PSP was my first game
Juiced 2 is the best arcade racer on the PSP. I thought Burnout Dominator was also pretty good. It's more polished then Burnout Legend, but the gameplay style is different. Test Drive Unlimited is a lot more fun to play on the PSP then on consoles. Pretty much the whole open world map is there too. Wih zero load times, quite an accomplishment for the PSP. Need for Speed Carbon, Own the City is, in my opinion, really the only good NFS game for the PSP. Midnight Club 3 DUB, the fact that this is literally an entire console game ported to the PSP, with absolutely nothing removed or sacrificed, that's pretty awesome. Remix is not nearly as good. I wouldn't even bother. Flatout Head On can be frustrating, but it's a pretty faithful port. Race Driver 2006 could be the best racing game for the PSP, but it's not easy to find. In the end, however, Juiced 2 is the overall winner. And don't laugh either, because I'm dead serious here. If you've played the console version and never thought much of it, it feels much different on the PSP. On the PSP, it's epic. And Motorstorm RC is not available in North America.
He means its not compatible. Only a handful of titles can be played on the vita. Motorstorm being one of them. For me I'm waiting for patapon 3 since only patapon 2 is compatible
already have gotten: uncharted fifa lumines rayman ninja gaiden damn my vita haha. They are all awsome. Add me on PSN please. My name is: ssfink
Thank you for the heads up. I was skeptical about Burnout at that price point, to he honest. But it sounds like I can't go wrong for 10 bucks so I'll definitely get it. Thank you all for the suggestions, it helped a ton and even saved me some money.. One thing though, for anyone who can answer this, what's the difference between Burnout Legends and Burnout Dominator? Seems like a lifetime since I've played these games, Crash mode was awesome and is likely still my favorite mode in a racing game ever, even though I haven't played in so long, I still remember those massive pileups flooding the intersection.
Dominator doesn't have crash mode, Legends does. Dominator is more focused on racing and take downs, and Legends is more like the traditional Burnout games. I like them both a lot, but I preffered Dominator- it has a more polished feel to it has a really fast paced style. You can also chain your turbo in Dominator (which is awesome). Now I really wanna to play them again- gonna buy them now
I'm one of only a few I think but I really like the PSP Gran Turismo I do wish it had a career mode but I often take a GTR around Nuburgring to try and best my times. The thing I like about it most is how the car's feel you are really fighting every corner and when you nail a tricky one it feels good. Hope the Vita gets it's own GT in time I'll pick it up on launch day. I've made a few GT PSP videos in the past if anyone is curious about it Gran Turismo - PSP - Veyron Vs Citroen GT That was more my attempt to prove the Veyron was great despite bad cornering. PSP - Gran Turismo - Suzuka Circuit And this was part of a contest between a few people online racing the same car and track to try and beat each other. I lost by a few seconds I believe but was still quite proud of that lap. Anyway no career mode but still a great game. On the same subject I am pretty much ready to go out buy myself a Vita sometime this week I just need to find a good package I ideally want to end up with Wipeout and a free card (until I can get 32gb at least in europe). Haven't really decided between wifi and 3G yet I don't really want 3G but the GPS is tempting me solely because I don't have one. My immediate plan is just to get wipeout and not buy another game until I've beaten every track on the faster modes it's bound to be hard but I've done it with 2097 and pulse.
Yeah, I really enjoyed GranTurismo too. The lack of a career mode did bother me at first, but I grew to love it for what it did well. The graphics, physics, and AI were probably the best out of any PSP racing game, plus it had a lot of cars and tracks.
have to do community service today. luckily that consists of me observing a CCD class of a bunch of 5th graders picking there noses and me playing games on my iPhone, or in this case my Vita! Community service has never been so fun!
Found out something about the home screen UI and thought I'd post it here.. If you swipe down (or up) fast and hold, you can scroll through your pages rather quickly. It takes some getting used to though. Also, I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet but I'm sure many figured this out on their own: you can hold the PS button down at any time to adjust brightness, music volume and a few other settings. One more thing: holding both volume buttons for one second quickly mutes the device. That's about all I've figured out and I'm sure everyone knows how to take a screenshot by now..
Cash mode in Burnout Legends doesn't play as well as the console versions. It's decent, but not great. Burnout Dominator is more polished, as I also mentioned earlier. I agree that it's a better game. Not classic burnout, obviously. A bit different from what has come to be expected from the Burnout franchise, but overall, still a better game. Gran Turismo is an impressive effort for a handheld game. There are 45 tracks, half can be ran in reverse, 48 challenges and over 800 cars for $19.99. No standard career mode, but all tracks have I think 4 different events. There is like an unofficial, non-linear career mode, of sorts. My issue is that there are too many cars and no real reason to gain any attachment to them. That is where interest is lost. Cars aren't customizable, they cannot be upgraded, and they are too easy to buy. You can purchase a new car after every race. You are encouraged to collect 100s of cars, but, especially without an online mode to show them off, what's the point?
Totally forgot about the lack of customization. That probably bothered me most out of every issue I had with it. I got over it eventually though- but it still bugged me a little bit. Pretty much: Need a better car? Can't upgrade your current one- sorry. Gonna have to buy a new one. Oh, but you'll have to grind on a level you can actually beat- just race really long races multiple times!
Very impressed so far. If Rayman and Golden Abyss are launch titles, imagine what this little baby will achieve in a couple of years.
I agree. Ever since I've gotten the Vita I don't have an urge to game on my iPad anymore. Vita gaming is, needless to say much deeper and creates a nice change from the short-burst gaming on the iOS. So far am enjoying Uncharted and Everybody's Golf the most and eagerly looking forward to buying Virtua Tennis.
For me, the best titles so far are Rayman Origins, Uncharted Golden Abyss, FIFA Soccer and PvZ. If you own FIFA Soccer, let's play a game online. Add me up: iANiMeX.
Couldn't justify triple-dipping... Already have it for the iPhone AND iPad Have UMvC3 or Virtua Tennis?
