I never said iPhone batman game was great. It was boring and I deleted after like an hour into the game. What I am trying to say here if iPhone got open world game, I think vita deserve batman game that is open world. I mean wouldn't be better if game was 3rd person open world? I can't see myself spending $40 for games like that. It's just not the quality that I am looking for. After looking at the games like DC, killzone, Rayman legend, the game should have been watered down open world port. Or even smaller open world...
Soooooo what you're saying is that you'd rather have a bad open world game than a good 2.5D metroidvania game? You said it yourself, you only played the batman game on iOS for an hour before deleting it, because it wasn't good. Did the open world help it? Not really, because it was empty and boring. One also shouldn't forget that this is also being made for the 3DS (they probably wanted to have the game on a system that is actually selling well, although the Vita version of course has noticeably better graphics), and making an open world game for the 3DS probably isn't such a great idea. If it's half as beautiful and plays half as good as Muramasa Rebirth, definitely. EDIT: So I've been playing the closed beta of Killzone, and it's pretty great so far, I think the Vita finally has a true system seller, not a Mario / Pokemon / Monster Hunter level seller, but still. Graphics are excellent though IMO not nearly PS3-Killzone-level as some previews are stating, but you won't really notice in the heat of the action. Menus are a bit ugly and touchscreen only which is a negative for me. Sounds can be vastly improved, I found them poor (using a mid-high end headphone). Gameplay is very good, it feels exactly like Killzone 2/3. All in all, the game is shaping up to be a real winner, my only hope is that the single player is good as I (usually) don't give a rat's ass about the multiplayer.
So according to the person whose Killzone videos I've been linking to lately the open beta for the game will start on August 21. (Kind of what I expected, since Gamescom starts then and Sony has their press conference on the day before, where they'll no doubt talk about it.)

I don't understand.... So people who got the code from ps home get to play the open beta... But people who didn't still be able to play?...
I finished the main 64 levels in Stealh Inc last night. It's such a good game. Now going back and trying to unlock the extra levels (one per world is unlocked by getting an S-rank on all the main levels in the world, and one is unlocked by getting all the hidden items - both are like puzzles of their own). Plus there is the DLC which I'll definitely be buying. If you like a good puzzle platformer/stealth game, I can definitely recommend it! Easy buy for $10 (and it's cross-buy/cross-save, though I have only played it on Vita).
Downloaded 2.60 about 2 hours ago didn't really notice anything apart from PS+ on the game load screens then again I've been playing most wanted since I updated I've been trying to get all the upgrades for all the cars.
I thought people were joking when they said the new Vita update introduced AA on the home screen bubbles... But they were serious! I noticed they also changed the live areas for Photos, Music, and Maps. The new PS+ features are cool, as is the ability to turn off WiFi in the quick access settings (hold down home/PS button). You can also play videos and music on your Vita that is stored on the connected device (PC/PS3), which might help people decide what they want to transfer to the Vita faster- can't really see too many uses for it outside of that.
Don't have my Vita with me now so what's updated in the new firmware? Edit: I see I'm a step late qn already answered
Seen my first ever Vita crash maybe the new firmware isn't that great, could be a random fluke but I had nfsmw crash very ungracefully and send a report to Sony also had to mess with content manager assistant quite a bit to get it to work again when it insisted on updating. Anti aliased Icons are much better though, NFS seems fine I don't think I lost any progress and I haven't seen a repeat so hopefully it was a one time incident I guess time will tell.
It's funny: What apple calls a major new feature in iOS 7 sony quietly adds as part of a medium sized update, without having to give it a fancy name like "control center" or anything. Oh and btw, supposedly the update also slightly improves the HTML 5 in the browser, so videos should work on more sites now from what I've heard.
I updated and didn't notice much different, except for the PS+ button in the live screens, which is a good improvement. Makes it easier to toggle auto-upload save on for games (though I wish that would just default on, with option to toggle off). I didn't notice anything different about the bubbles. Maybe it's because I think the bubbles are kind of goofy looking so I don't take notice of any improvements to them. LOL. Did they fix the stupid problem with the store sometimes getting stuck? Sometimes I can queue up downloads, other times after one queued download the store gets stuck trying to prepare the next one and I have to shut down the Vita and power back up.
