I don't really feel the love for Uncharted on Vita as well. Too many touch here touch there tilt right tilt left instances. Breaks the flow for me. And I'm a HUGE Uncharted fan..
There is still the Open beta later this month... (And for us in europe it's a month and 4 - 6 days till we can play, depending on where one lives! )
Dragons Crown 8.5 from ign Loot, hack and slash done right and fan service. That and killzone are all I have on my vita wish list (besides pso2 ... Sigh)
Vita games I'm looking forward to (as far as big releases go) are: Dragon's Crown, Killzone, Tearaway, Rayman Legends, Batman, Final Fantasy X & X-2, and Toukiden. There's a few others I'm interested in, but unsure about.
Is anybody else playing Stealth Inc? Great game, but I was completely stumped by level 3-8. I can't figure out how to get the bottom terminal. Presumably the Spoiler switch on the right is important, but there's nothing to push onto it and there doesn't seem to be a way to get the robot there. Even if he were there he wouldn't stand still on the switch. After mulling it over for quite a while, I had to use a level skip. If anybody has it, a spoilered solution would be great.
Now that the Killzone beta is out there are tons of really high quality videos of it on YouTube. Here's a good quality one: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Now THAT'S a game that fits the (actually fairly meaningless, since it could be comparing to an NES or something) word "Console Quality"!
You haven't heard of Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate? It's going to be a 2.5D Metroidvania-stly game for the 3DS and Vita developed by Armature (Studio made up of ex Rare people who made Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, according to wikipedia).
Oh... I think I might have, actually.. Maybe it was the 2.5D thing that scared me into forgetting. Now I'm sad. But then that makes me sound ignorant. Hell, I'll pick it up anyways. Because.. It's BATMAN!
Ex Retro people who were the three in charge of the original Metroid Prime project (lead technology engineer, lead game designer, lead artist), and worked on all three games. They were pretty high up in Retro. Recently the designer of Donkey Kong Country Returns Tom Ivey left Retro to join Armature too. There's several more Retro employees at Armature now as well- though they aren't quite as notable as the founding three, or their recent acquisition. If it was just a regular 2D sidescroller, I'd be completely uninterested, but it's going to be a fairly open metroidvania game (open world sidescroller). More interested in Blackgate than Origins to be honest. Haven't played a good Metroid style game in a while. Hopefully it turns out great.
I have Blackgate on preorder. If you preorder from Amazon, you get $10 amazon credit two days after the game ships. They also don't charge until it ships.
It's kinda sad where on iPhone they have open world batman game and ps vita can't get open world batman game. Instead they get 2.5d side scroller game
Can you just get the hell out with your negativity? We get it, you have a crusade against the Vita. Just leave. Thanks.
Actually if you follow the thread from the beginning you'll notice that he is the biggest vita's fan on this thread. Well its just he's kinda dissapointed right now. I think
Well, technically, Arkham Origins Blackgate IS open world, as it is a metroidvania style game. It just isn't in a fully 3D world. So, yeah. Besides, the open world game for iPhone (Dark Knight Rises) is extremely bare bones, and doesn't even compare to the Arkham games. I'd take what we're getting over Gameloft's mediocre licensed film game any day.
Yeah sorry guys. But really hard for me to not complain when all Sony throws at us is crap shit seriously
I've posted it before and I'll post it again: The combat (aka the most important thing in a Batman game) SUCKED in that game compared to other batman games. I even made an entire video showing that back then: Batman Arkham Origins on the other hand is supposed to have free flow combat (like Arkham Asylum, City and Origins), and while from the gameplay videos taken at E3 it doesn't look to be quite on that level it's still as good as it probably could be in a 2.5D game, at the verry least it's better than what the Dark Knight Rises has on iOS. Here's what Blackgate looks like for those that are wondering: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
I don't even see what's so bad about having a 2.5D metroidvania style game. It has a storyline that is bridging Origins with Arkham Asylum and plays differently from the console game so that people who own both can actually have two different experiences. And that iPhone batman game wasn't so great to start with.
