That's actually true of pretty much everything Sony including their phones they only pretend to support USB charging in reality you need your PC or a Sony charger. Saying that I actually do have a third party vita cable that lets me charge it from my 10,000mah battery but I think it was just pot luck.

Basicly if you use third party cables theres a chance if you use the sony cables their meant to force you to only buy Sony chargers same is true of their ereaders and xperia line of phones.

The Sony USB cable should work fine for charging, provided the battery charger is putting out enough power. You also have to make sure the Vita has USB charging on in the settings.

I accumulated all sorts of USB chargers over the years.

Not a single one of them work with the Vita.

Strangely, portable batteries such as the Zaggsparq work as intended.

So "Thomas Was Alone" is wonderful so far. :) I never knew playing as shapes could be so engrossing. The music, the narrative (wear headphones), the atmosphere... all wonderful.

Also I guess the DLC (benjamin's flight) for it is going to be on sale too, starting later today or tomorrow.

I heard amazing things about it. Of all the games I've heard great things about on the Vita, I'm more likely to play Thomas Was Alone first. Is it a cross-buy title, where I buy it on the Vita and get the PS3 version too?

Yay! Is it on sale? Will it be on sale tomorrow, to go along with that DLC sale you were talking about?

No, only the DLC is on sale since the game itself had a launch sale.

I found Thomas to be an average game. Too easy, too short, nothing special graphics / sound / gameplay. Even the story praised in so many reviews didn't really touch me. There are much better indie games on Vita IMO.

I'd like to try Thomas Was Alone, but there is no demo. All games should have demos.

But after buying the season 2 pro pass for Pinball Arcade, I have $10 left so... but I'd really like to get Guacamelee, so maybe I'll just go $5 over budget and get that. :)

Please, just go and get Guacamelee. It's not that Thomas is a bad game but there's really no comparison.

Aye, me be in agreeness with this matie.

Pick up Guacamelee! I've never played either, but from what I've seen Guacamelee will last hours upon hours longer.

Actually I'm told that Guacamelee is short. However this doesn't bother me. Most games wear out their welcome long before they are over.

I have Guacamelee platinum and Thomas 100%. I reckon it took me 15-20 hours to platinum the first, and though it's mostly easy there were a few sections that really gave me a challenge. Thomas, on the other hand, lasted about 2-3 hours to 100% and was ridiculously easy, I think a 6yo could finish that game.

That is only about the difficulty and length, but Guacamelee blows Thomas out of the water in every other way (graphics, music, gameplay, story, ...) I can think of.

I also have all of the trophies for Guacamelee and Thomas (got it for free with PS Plus). They're both fairly easy to 100%, but Guacamelee is definetly the game that is alot more fun and will last for quite a bit longer. (Then again, I don't think the goal of Thomas Was Alone was to make a game that was fun)

I'll probably get Thomas Was Alone too as it does sound interesting. But I'll go with Guacamelee first for the fun. :)

With that last sentence, did you mean to say "long-lasting" instead of "fun"?
