I guess Ken Levine is still trying to make BioShock Vita a thing- https://mobile.twitter.com/IGLevine/status/355874911627124736 https://mobile.twitter.com/IGLevine/status/356085718893867009 My Vita never has issues with downloading stuff in sleep mode. It never pauses on me. Yeah, that happened to me once. Your memory card definitely got corrupted. You should be OK if you backed up your Vita saves. You're going to have to reformat the card before it will work again. If you have backed up data, restore that to the Vita after you go through all the annoying set-up stuff.
Actually, I didn't get to back up my saves :\ I only found out about the cloud save upload the minute before I left for Target, and then when I came back is when it all started going haywire. Also, I think my memory card is now as corrupt as it can get. I tried formatting it again, and it won't even work. The system doesn't even turn on when the card is in... :\
The reason I said that is because I tried downloading something on my Vita by having it connected to a wifi hotspot I had created with my phone wich was of course connected via the phone network. Every time my phone would switch between GPRS/Edge and 3G/HSDPA the Vita would loose the connection for a moment (because the phone was switching connection type) and the download would pause.
How do you backup your saves? Sounds like I should be doing that.... Also, how do you get the memory card out? Unlike game cards, the memory card doesn't seem to stick out of the memory card slot. Or at least what I presume is the memory card slot.
Eh, you just push to eject. It's at the bottom of the Vita. You could connect Vits to PC and use content manager assistant to backup. (I think, not done it myself yet, though I should..)
To back up saves you open up the app "Content manager assistant" on your Vita, then either connect it to your PC via USB or wifi (you will have to have CMA installed on the PC) or connect to the cloud if you have a PS Plus subscription and the rest is self explanatory. Everything is done on the vitas screen. The memory card is right of the USB port on the bottom of the vita, under the serial No. sticker. Open the black piece of plastic infront of it up with your fingernail and push the memory card in to make it click out. Turn your vita off before taking out the memory card!
Thanks!!! Ohhh... I was looking at that slot next to the game card slot. So what is the slot next to the game card slot for?

Oops, that's what I meant. I'm sure he would have found it eventually if he'd continued going left along the edge of the vita. When you think about it right is just really far to the left in this case!
It's a good thing you didn't, you might have bumped into that part where the rear camera sticks out. Imagine the pain and the damage that might have caused...
So I stopped following that Sony-indie-lover guy On the twitter. Got sick of him talking about how vita is getting so much support from indie and avoid voices like people wanting games like GTA or something that isn't indie... They should fire him no offense. It probably made lots of people mad not to mention that unknown "big title for the vita" has even been revealed yet where he said before e3 that it will be announced at e3...
It's an acessory port. The PSP had one as well, and it was for acessories like a camera and a GPS reciever. The Vita has yet to get any acessories that utilize the port. There was a leaked patent from Sony a while back which was for a UMD reader you'd plug into the Vita acessory port to play UMDs- I think it would be cool, but I doubt it will ever get made.
Perhaps the acessory port will do something with the PS4? Who knows, perhaps it will let us put our Vita games on the big screen via a PS4 or something like that.
Who's the "Sony-indie-lover guy On the twitter"??? I'm all for Indie... though of course I'd also like to see big budget studio titles, and definitely GTA. Sure. Just make sure I get Spelunky and TxK soon!
