Just bought a WiFi Vita off eBay. Supposedly in pristine condition but we'll see. Hopefully it is. Hopefully I didn't just make a mistake! Includes 16 GB card and 6 games (most of which I'll sell). That should do if it comes in as claimed condition.
Nice, vita doesn't get broken that easily so it should be fine... Unless they didn't put on screen protectors. I really don't understand people who don't use screen protectors btw. It makes me go like WHYYYYYYY
Good luck. Hopefully it does come fine. i don't know how much you paid, but coming with a 16gb card is great. I think that should be the minimum for getting mostly digital content. About the screen protectors... I wasn't going to have one on mine. I guess i was just used to the ipad/ipod screen toughness. Anyway i read about folks scratching theirs up and so I put one on asap after that. The sony branded ones are great. Easy to put on, etc.

I suggest Uncharted as the first Vita game you play. One of my best and favorite gaming experiences ever.
Personally I think screen protectors are a waste of time on everything, none of my screens have any scratches I just use cases when I'm not using something. don't get me wrong though a decent screen protector applied right is hardly noticeable I just don't think they are worth the effort.
It may sound contradictory but I consider myself super careful with my gadgets and even then scratches do appear over time, so I always buy protectors for touch screens. And no, don't have kids or long fingernails, always use cases/pouches when not in use, etc. The damned things just come out of nowhere! LOL
Yes, those, though I believe I have GR from PS+? I'll have to double check, but I think that was a freebie that I have in my account. Also I'm interested in MLB The Show, though I'd rather have '13. I'm going to try '12 and if I like it, sell it and pick up '13. The system should arrive mid week. Actually, just checked and I have both Gravity Rush and Uncharted via PS+, so I can sell both of those. Looks like the only keeper is Sly Cooper.
I'd say I'm pretty good at taking care of my gadgets, but the Vita is definetly not the most scratch-resistent device there is. Mine has at least two sratches near the edge of the screen, luckily they are small and only noticeable when the background is bright. Still, my Vita got both/all during the first few months of owning one and I haven't had any new ones for quite some time, so scratching the screen should be avoidable even without a screen protector. Interestingly enough the only handheld device I have that hasn't got any scratches on the screen in more than a year of owning it is my HTC Desire Z, so great job, htc (I've had that phone for more than 2 years now)! Somehow my iPods always manage to randomly get a scratch after 1 - 1.5 years... So yeah, a screen protector isn't 100% necessary, but with the Vitas screen being covered by plastic and not glass it's definitely not a bad idea. Still, the advantage of plastic is that it won't shatter immediately should you accidentally drop your Vita! Also, anyone feel like celebrating over 5000 posts / 500 pages in this thread?
