The one thing that pushed me into buying the Vita on release day was FIFA and the promise of Madden 13 a few months later. But anyways, why is there a fuss over whether or not the game is Vita exclusive? How many people actually choose the Vita to play at home over their console? I was more than happy to have bought Sly and Playstation All-Stars for the PS3 and have the ability to download them to the Vita. And again, what's with all the fuss over indie games? I mean, as long as the game is good, I will buy it no matter the developer.
So this Sony guy was asking about the definition of AAA games on the twitter ... And it's was quite clearly that he believes in that indie games could be AAA titles. Games doesn't have to be god of war, uncharted or killzone to be AAA titles. But problem is that most of people believes and wants all these big titles is AAA and they wants it on the vita. See this is what I hate. Sony trying to make us think like indie games are good as uncharted or other big games... And I call that bullshit
tend to agree with jinathin on this. indie game will never be as good as AAA titles. or maybe some other here can give example which indie can blow out or at least as good as uncharted, killzone, grav rush, wipe out, fifa on vita? i guess nothing right? like i said, i dont mind with indie as long as its good, but sony has to stop to push it on the same level as AAA title where they promise to bring them to vita not the indie. if i want to play indie title, ill play it on my idevice.
I don't really care about indie games either sure there are probably a few gems but what I really want to see on the Vita are games like Gran Turismo and God of War.
You're not referring to gaming as a whole, right? Bastion, Amnesia, Killing Floor, Rising Storm, World of Goo, Limbo - all indie games, all released to big critical acclaim or have a massive player base (killing floor). The term "AAA" just means that there's a lot of money and people behind a project, not that it'll be any good.
which means bigger and longer and better gameplay, graphics and story to tell right?big budget games that doesnt play right means that the team/developer is failed, thats all, no other explanation. the way you type "just" its like it doesnt mean anything to you. for me AAA games is something like tomb raider reboot, halo series, gow series, max payne 3, etc and yes im looking for a big budget games from the experience team that will bring us more than 15 hours of gameplay without grinding with amazing graphics, details. that is why my next anticipated game for vita or maybe the last for this year will be killzone mercenary. that kind of game that give me a reason to buy vita at first place. ps. limbo is an exception, but after 3-4 hours that is all you can get from it, can't compared to games like i have mention above.
only indie game I believe it reached to level of AAA is minecraft. Everything else is pretty low terms of replay value, gameplay, content etc. not saying indie games can't be AAA titles. But do you really think people would want limbo or all these few hours games over killzone or tear away? I don't think so.
Lol I gotta laugh so hard when Sony is trying to make how much big deal and decision they made to port this pc indie game called proteus on the vita.... See another indie game I seriously do not give a #### about. Shtty blocky groahical with 8 bit pixel bs. No wonder why I hate indie games
Will you please stop? Okay we get it, you don't like indie games, that doesn't mean other people don't. I personally love indie games, I love seeing these small additions. I cannot wait for terraria to come out on the vita this summer, I feel like it will definitely increase the sales due to the extremely high playerbase. Theres so many indie games I wish were coming to vita such as FTL. While I do agree the vita needs stronger 3rd party titles, you really have to accept the fact that indie titles are part of the market too, a large part
I guess I'll chime in now. Neither handheld is really getting great third party support- unless you consider the shovelware that the 3DS has been getting 'great third party support'. The 3DS is mostly being held up by its first party line up. The Vita isn't really being held up by anything, because non vita owners tend to dismiss most first and third party efforts, or ignore them altogether. I feel like the Vita is getting better third party support this summer and fall, but that's just me. The Vita also has a much better library of digital exclusives, but those mostly appeal to current Vita owners, rather than non Vita owners. I think both of the handhelds have great libraries, and I'd even say they are nearly even. What the 3DS has over the Vita though, is brand recognition. Lots of people know what Pokemon is. And Mario. And Zelda. Et cetera, et cetera. Soul Sacrifice? What is that? WipEout? That's that game show right? Gravity Rush? I dunno. I just feel like there are a lot of people that are overly dismissive of the Vita and the games it has, and go with what is more familiar. Also, I love indie games. If you don't like them, don't buy them. Some of my favorite games are indie games. I mean, does their existence affect you?
i just found out that oddworld strangers wrath is an indie game one of my favourite game on vita that doesnt look like indie at all tried to finished ninja gaiden 2 on my vita right now since its already occupied my vita cartridge slot for almost 2months.
I think you are confusing indie with digital... Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD is a port of the retail console release that came out on the Xbox in 200...5 I think? It's now a digital release on the Vita and PS3, but that doesn't make it an independent game
just check it on vita store. sony stated it as an indie game. yes thats true its a port of an old game, i know.
Well problem like I stated many times, we have enough indie and now we need AAA games. Warrior's lair is officially got canned and that game was few months away from finishing it, that game could have been appealed to way more people than all these silly indie bs.
Exactly. We get it. Anyways Spelunky, Lone Survivor and Stealth Bastard coming to Vita this month. Edit: Seems like Lone Survivor will be next moth.
