The games coming out this year that have a release date that I'll be getting are: Jak and Daxter Collection LEGO Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey Rayman Legends Killzone: Mercenary Ys: Memories of Celceta Tearaway Batman: Arkham Origins LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Final Fantasy X/X-2 and God of War Collection don't have release dates yet but I'll be getting those also.
I just bought the Jak and Daxter collection a couple hours ago. Played it for pretty much 3 hours straight. It brings back so many memories, already worth the $30. As said in some of the reviews the framerate may dip a little at some points but I have not gotten to the point where it isn't enjoyable. I suggest you all pick this up, even if you've played all of them before, and for those of you who haven't played Jak and Daxter, now is a great time to start.
I bought the Jak and Daxter collection as well. The amount of gameplay you get with the three games is worth $30 alone. Sure, if you have the HD collection on the playstation 3 you might as well pass on it but if you haven't I highly recommend playing it now. The frame rate is a little bad but it never affects the gameplay and its a lot better than many reviewers are saying.
I picked up Jak & Daxter Collection today(I had it pre-ordered)Haven't had a chance to dive into it yet, I'll probably start playing it after the game tonight. In my opinion Jak & Daxter was always a part of the 3 must play game series durring the PS2 era: Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter and Sly Cooper. I always say if you had a PS2 and didn't get to play atleast one game in each of these series then you were robbed of something. I'm glad Jak & Daxter has come to the Vita though and I'll be able to earn trophies for it. Sometimes I sit and think "oh the trophies I would have if trophies would have been around durring the PS2 era".
I've played neither of the three series you mentioned I pretty much skipped the PS2 era completely have to say the games mentioned just don't appeal to me from what I've seen. I'm sure their good games but I just don't feel it personally.
I also got Jak & Daxter Collection, digital version on PSN, played the first game for the last 3-4 hours. Frame rate is definitely bad, not Full Frontal Assault bad but very noticeable. The game is crazy fun, though, so it barely bothered me, but if there are precision platforming sessions later I can imagine it getting very annoying.
XD Sorry... I just had to respond and say that was hilarious I haven't fired up my Vita in so long... Just sits there on the window sill, picking up dust... Maybe I should transfer my Ninja Gaiden game to it that I got for free with PlayStation Plus!
P4G is all you need for the Vita I kid. In all seriousness, I only bought like 3 physical Vita games so far. Being a Plus member netted me a whole hoard of free Vita games. I do buy digital PSN games though, and the recent Guacamelee is pretty cool.
I keep hearing it is a great game, but I will honestly not try it until it has a significant sale or is given away by PlayStation Plus (quite likely, it seems... maybe I'm just being silly, though). I've seen tons of videos on Persona, but it honestly doesn't seem like my kind of game at all. Who knows, though? Considering the lack of significant capacity on the Vita, I originally planned on buying only physical stuff... but that has changed quite a bit. I do have 4? 5? physical games, but the rest are digital. Thanks a lot, PlayStation Plus Is Guacamelee good? I've heard great things about it! ...I guess what I mean to say is, how does it play? Is it a hard game?
I adopted the handheld pretty late, so before I even got myself a Vita, I already got a whole bunch of Vita games thanks to PS Plus (which in turn of course sped up the adoption). That and the Plus exclusive digital sales don't help to encourage physical purchases, at least on my side. As for P4G, if you are interested in JRPG, even remotely, this is the game to get. There's so much depth I don't even know where to start telling you. I'm not so sure about it becoming a freebie, but looking at how Plus is giving away every other Vita game, you'd never know. I just hope everyone who can, give this game a try. Guacamelee is not too hard, but there's a lot to like about it - the metroidy exploration, fun combat (not just button smasher mind you), lovely art style, and memes, lots of them. It's rather short though, but nowadays that's a good thing for me. Perfect for a handheld.
As much as I love P4G it's a pretty niche title, if you're not into this kind of JRPG there's a considerable chance you won't like it. In a few words, Guacamelee is a metroidvania brawler Mexican style platformer. It's a great super fun game that plays really well unlike these lazy ports we're getting. It's mostly easy, but if you're into trophies there's one optional (required for plat) climbing section that it's very hard.
Guacamelee is sounding darn fun! I think I'mma download it And I don't care about trophies that much. I'm surprised Guacamelee has a Platinum trophy, though! That's very odd for a downloadable title.
Finally played AC Liberation that came with my white Vita, holy shit, does this game sucks or what?? Feel pity and anger for sony for releasing two unfinished games with their Vita as a holiday Vita pack.
So there is 2 ps3/vita title coming. First one is project vs j which is fighting game with chacaters from DBZ and naruto and one piece and stuffs And then there is DBZ which is 8 player brawler. It looks quite fun and hope they make it to west...
Persona 4 Golden with the odd race in NFS MW is about all I'm playing lately. I liked Persona enough to get a hold of the Anime/Manga? series of it I'm not usually into that stuff but I'm going to have a go at watching it anyway it'll probably be enough to make me start a new game and hopefully that will keep me going until Killzone.
