Here's a nice blog post read from Jeff Minter on developing for the Vita: http://www.minotaurproject.co.uk/devblog/?p=13 Cannot wait for this new Tempest game! Grew up playing in the arcades and wanted a Jaguar just for Tempest 2000. This should be awesome.
Just finished main story and beat Magusar in Soul Sacrifice. Game is crazy addictive, will grind the Avalon pacts now, still undecided if going for 1/99 or 99/1.
I beat the main story a couple days ago and decided to fight Magusar today and beat him and I'll definitely agree the game is really addictive. Right now my character is I think 10/78, I'm gonna get him to 1/99 for the trophy. Then get him to 40/60 for the other 2 Black Rights and the Black Rights trophy as well. Then I think I'd like my characters final build to be 30/70 maybe 20/80, I had really been settled on 30/70 but as I'm typing just now I really like the sound of 20/80 so that might be what I go with.
I'm going for 40/40 first and then decide between 1/99 and 99/1. In co-op MP I usually like to be a support character so 99/1 would be the natural choice but I think (with the extremely low attack) that could put me in trouble in the later timed pacts.
So I've already beaten and owned the PSP version of MGS Peace Walker, in addition to owning the HD version (HD collection, which I keep starting and then putting off ), but I'm really tempted to buy it off PSN for my Vita (PSP digital version). Should I do it, or not do it? Seriously on the verge of buying it a third time right now (funny thing is though, if I do get it, it may not get played until I get a new memory card). Edit: welp, I bought it
Your increased defense is rendered completely pointless in the toughest Pacts that fail you if you even get hit once. Thankfully, those aren't needed for the trophy.
Had a brief scare there I haven't really touched my Vita at all in about 3 weeks and went to turn it on, I was sure it was fully powered off when I left it but battery was completely drained anyway. I killed a good PSP battery that way once and thought it might be finished luckily charger brought it round fine but I'm going to be paranoid now because I am pretty positive it wasn't on standby. Been playing on it to make sure everything is good seems to be no harm done but I don't like the fact it seems to drain when off that can really kill batteries if you don't remember to charge them at least once every few weeks.
So lets start a hype train now shall we? e3 is about a month away and hopefully we will get some good new games on the vita!
It happened with me a few times, not only with the Vita but also with a Sony digital camera. I think Sony batteries are to blame as it doesn't happen with an iPod Touch and a 3DS XL of mine. Sadly it will be mercilessly trounced by the PS4.
I'd love to see some surprise titles, but won't hold my breath. This year will probably be all about the PS4... And the Wonderbook...
Well at ps4 reveal, they did say they have something more to talk about vita later this year. So yeah I have high hopes (which is not good)
No hopes for e3, fully expecting Sony to ignore the Vita. Some more indie games announced today: Doki Doki Universe Counterspy and Hohokum
No... They aren't ignoring vita this year. They will probably show up more about what you can do with ps4 and vita. And probably show up some killzone and year away gameplay and probably minor trailers and maybe one or 2 new games
Not really, lots of people playing it. Number two game on the Vita store right now. That would kinda suck, Vita needs more than one or 2 new games, but I guess that's not completely ignoring the platform. I mean retail titles of course, plenty of indie stuff coming(which I love).
