I really hope so, but I must admit, it's very hard for me to keep my hopes up. Call of Duty and Resistance should have been easy hits for the Vita, and look how short they fell of the mark. I maintain that this console is ripe for someone to come in and turn some heads. I struggle to understand what the problem is.
We have no one else to blame Devs for resistance. And for the cod, blame activision, we could have gotten full port of black ops 2. But they cut that project off and just quickly made black ops declassified. No wonder why they didn't have single player
In mgs 3, you can aim down sight with the every guns and looking at through iron sight and scopes. Where in peace walker, most of guns except sniper is just over the shoulder aim. It just makes game way too easy mgs 3 had a good control, so as mgs4. But personally I think mgs 3 on the vita was the best
That probably wasn't possible anyway. The filesize alone would kill ya, not to mention the Vita would probably have to have some seriously toned down graphics.
We will just look like graphics of BO... I honestly have no problem with the graphics, it's the content that is they had for $50. If they ported bo2 over to vita with zombies, hell they probably easily sold over 1m copies
I don't know if they'll ever port a console version of CoD, but I'd say there's still a decent chance for a new CoD Vita even without Sony funding. It's the best-selling game on the Vita internationally (over 600k+ that Assassin's Creed III Liberation sold), and it sold more than the Wii U version. Activision can probably just get nStigate on board again for a quick and easy cash-in. Also, Soul Sacrifice is quickly becoming a Game of the Year contender for me.
Caz they can make profit. They made half assed game and made profits. Full game would make hell a lot more
I was almost gonna buy it digitally, but I know I'd be too lazy to return my extra copy to Best Buy and I'd just end up stuck with two copies. I'll just wait. According to the tracking it should be here tomorrow :\
Still way too soon to say that the Vita is a "failed" handheld. Things are going slow for sure, but I don't think the Vita has failed just yet. In fact, just about every player in the console market is suffering in some way or another. Also, this is Activision we're talking about. Have you SEEN the shit this company has decided to do? Porting CoD to Vita is the notion that you wanna question? And lastly, the Vita is a fine piece of hardware. It just needs the games. Activision had an amazing opportunity to swoop in and dominate the system with a solid CoD game, and they dropped the ball entirely. Make no mistake that they lost out on a serious chance there. Could've been the ONE system seller game. Can you imagine if that multiplayer had worked well? If they had just given the effort? It would've turned the Vita into a portable shooting box. Instead it's perhaps the most embarrassing game on the console. Good on 'em.
I think vita is better than any other handheld system. I once though iPhone games were good enough. But yearly upgrades and all these free game bs? I can't believe how iOS has become
Yeah, i'm pretty much done with 'mobile gaming'. When I first signed up on TA, it was the only thing I did. When I got my 3ds, and later my Vita, I pretty much ditched mobile games. So for gaming on the go, I'll gladly stick with my 'Failed Handheld' tyvm. I use Vita more than the 3DS btw. I only do mobile gaming if I can't use my handhelds. Now, if SONY slashes those damn memory card prices, devs get some more quality titles going, and maybe even a $200 dollar price point (everywhere else besides Japan), it'll be rolling, me thinks. Thank goodness its Region Free so I could enjoy Project Diva f and Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus Those F'n memory card prices man I know good deals/sales pop up once in a while but sheesh, good luck surviving with less than a 16GB unless you don't use PSN. It's my major complaint for the system.
Tbh, for me memory card is not a huge issue. I have 8 gb and I never download any games digitally because I want the copy of the game so I can resell it later after get platinum.
Sony has E3 conferences scheduled for June 10th. Damm that's like a month away. Forgot that e3 takes place on June not July
Surprisingly the 8GB card I got for preordering the Vita has been enough for me as well so far, and the only game I didn't buy digitally was Uncharted. It only really gets problematic when I have a really big game (like the MGS HD Collection) on it, but usually I have at least 1GB of free space. (I need about 500mb of free space so I can watch HD youtube videos though)
