Yeah I agree, it's definitely an odd choice. Played it on my PS3 and thought it was garbage. It would've made more sense to try and get the far superior Epic Mickey (unless Nintendo has some hold on it given that its still Wii exclusive).
Interesting use of the word "we" in that PS Blog article. It's nice to see Sony is porting such an Epic game instead of Borderlands or Bioshock...
Borderlands was a huge dissapointment, but Irrational already said they are currently working on a vita Bioshock and are going to wait a little until further development
No they're not. FEZ is coming to PS3 and Vita: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1aj74m/i_am_phil_fish_cocreator_of_fez_ask_me_anything/
Umm yeah they are.. In 2011 Ken Levine announced Bioshock Vita was in the works but just hasn't started development.
It's 2013, and the game still isn't development. Irrational wants Sony to pay for it, but after what happened with Activision and CoD, I doubt it'll ever happen. They're definitely not "currently working on a Vita Bioshock."
If they don't say anything about it at e3 this year, I think it just better to say not happening. Who knows, after the price drop in NA, sales will probably boost and maybe devs will change their mind
Both Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD will be released this year for PS3 and Vita. The PS3 version will be bundled together, but the Vita versions will be sold separately probably due to cart size limits.
I'd rather bioshock didn't happen than a cheap company like Nihilistic getting it and doing more damage to the Vita, I'm completely against the way the Vitas being treated with third party companies getting the big names and making garbage from them. To be honest I'd rather the Vita was just a port machine so far all my best games are ports and the made for Vita titles are pretty poor exception being maybe uncharted.
Yeah I kinda agree with that I hated how they left vita out from diablo 3 when it's coming on ps3/ps4
Couldn't they just put two cartridges in the Vita box? Would be ridiculous to have to pay $80 for the complete Vita FFX, but only $60 for PS3. Unless they sold each game at $30. If they had cross-buy and cross-save though, I wouldn't care about the physical Vita version. Ken Levine never specifically said Sony had to pay for it. He said it's something he really wants to do, but he can't make a game without funding. Someone has to give him money, so he can pay his employees. Whether it's 2K or Sony. All he has said is that the game's fate is in the hands of the business men. It wouldn't be outsourced either- it would be handled by him and his company. Also, it wouldn't Bea port. He has an original concept planned for it (so it would be to all previous BioShock games as Infinite is to the original- fairly different).
KH1.5HD for PS3 has 2 full games and is retailing for $40 in the US. I can see each Vita game costing $20 ($30 max).
Apparently Atelier Totori Plus is up on the US PSN store. No advance announcement or anything... Really odd.
In case anyone is wondering what one piece pirate warriors 2 looks like on vita, here you go http://youtu.be/fJAOdP_r9jw Looks like solid port. Framerate seems good, character model is looking good too
Not a port, but regardless, looks nice. Too bad it isn't getting localised outside of Japan (the Vita version).
For $2.99, Nun Attack is pretty fun. Touch controls only, but they work pretty darn well. Few trophies to strive for as well.
You know what really irritates me about the Vita? It's such a digital-centric handheld, but the freaking memory situation sucks... Seriously, what was Sony thinking. Should have had some internal memory, and bigger, cheaper memory cards. The PSN releases and sales have been killing me this month...
Annoys me as well if they couldn't do the memory cards right then they should have just used Micro SD which already has pretty reasonable 64gb cards, even a small hard drive like most mp3 players used would have made it a complete non issue. I need a bigger card myself at the minute or next game I'm going to have to delete something it wouldn't be so bad if you could actually switch cards easy but Sony seems to have locked that down also and really limited the device.
So rumor says next gen Xbox will not read disk. Disces will be used to install the game just like pc. So no used games. Also constant Internet connection and so much more bs... I think ps4 might be the winner for next gen. If they get cloud system remote play right, it could boost ps vita sales too
