I think it would be more likely for them to announce new Vita games on wednesday, because a lot more people will be watching that event than this stream.
On the flip side, Sony may have used that Vita event to get Vita news out of the way first so that they can concentrate on the PS4. Either way, I don't expect to see much of the Vita on Wednesday.
I think there's a chance that the Vita will get mentioned on Wednsday. The Vita Heaven streams pertain to Japan only. They aren't intended for western audiences. I honestly don't think they'll show too much of the PS4. I think they'll talk about the Vita and PS3 on stage for a bit, show off some upcoming games for borh systems with the possibility of some reveals, and at the end, they'll tease the PS4, show a sizzle reel, and then just leave the rest for E3.
PlayStation Meeting 2011 was almost 100% focused on the Vita (or NGP, as it was called back then). The PSP and PS3 had no screen time at all IIRC. I think it'd be safe to assume that PS Meeting 2013 will be about the same except for PS4. The PS Meeting 2011 videos are all on the SCEABlog channel on YouTube if you're interested.
I'm pretty happy with mine at the minute and I think Persona 4 is out here very shortly which I've been waiting on for a while, also everything I see regarding Killzone Mercenary is very promising. Starting to look like the vita might be able to play PS4 games and be useful there as well although I'm still not convinced of the PS4 itself but if I do end up buying a next gen console it will likely by that one on account of having the Vita.
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/02/19/hotline-miami-assaults-ps3-and-ps-vita-this-spring/ Hotline Miami coming to PS3/Vita.
I know. But 2013 is a big year for them, even if you ignore the obvious PS4- I doubt they wouldn't at least mention what's in store for the Playstation brand as a whole.
I don't understand about all these rumors about new ps vita model... If they had one coming, they probably said it at ps vita heaven, and yet I been reading at least 10 articles saying new ps vita is going to get announce tomorrow
Just made a really cool discovery (for me anyway) was never able to charge the Vita from anything but the Sony charger despite having a 10,000mah battery pack for my phone. Pretty annoying but I came across a diagram to make charging work by altering the wiring of an USB extender cable. I remembered having an extender cable for an old external drive (Buffalo I think) and figured it would be worth a try altering it but tried it beforehand just in case and to my amazement it worked without even having to cut into it. So now I can play my Vita and charge it out and about without buying the Sony battery, it actually charges fine while I'm using it and 10,000mah is double the official Sony battery.
They're also being sent via email according to those that have gotten it. Checked my email, but there's nothing there. Haven't checked my PS3 yet.
Really? I haven't seen anyone who mentioned getting a code through email. I got the $10 via the PS3 message myself. Edit: Oh, I see some websites reporting users getting emails. Maybe it's a misinterpretation on their part? A PS3 inbox can easily be confused with a email inbox.
No, there was a thread on CAG last night (has since been pulled or moved, as it is random and not a deal), and a few people said they were notified via their email as well. Not certain that it's true though.
So ps vita's remote play works with ps4 thanks to the gaikai's new cloud. It will be able to stream, ps1, ps2, ps3, and ps4 games
I think that's the feature that will probably end with me buying a PS4 all the specs look great for the suggested price but the only real concern for me is if it has always on DRM I've actually never actually bothered to connect my 360 online at all I'm not really into online play at all.
They mentioned that they'd talk a lot more about the Vita another time with great things planned for it. Wonder when that will be? The way they mentioned it makes me think it won't be E3.
