I'm starting to think this February 20th annoumcement might just be for the "future" of the Vita. Possibly the Vita slim, big game announcments, maybe a tv out function using the expansion port. If this is true, Sony is going to be under a lot of fire from angry fans wanting a ps4. I expect to see the ps4 and xbox 720 announced at e3. What's the point of doing it earlier? If it's at e3 it will have an insane amount of coverage and since the wait will be smaller to the holiday season there will likely be crazy hype.
No.. Here is the thing. Next gen Xbox and ps4 is currently getting developed by same company. They will have almost same kind of chips and stuffs even though ps4 *rumor* has more ram and blah. So it's better to make first move. Sony failed with ps3 at launch because lots of people already got their Xbox and ps3 was too expensive and wasn't anything new other than blue ray. So this time, i think it's smart move to announce ps4 before MC announce new Xbox. But I believe they wont go on every details about ps4 this month. They will probably just show up the device or talk about it. And on e3, we will see actual gameplay on ps4 or something. Feb 20th will be probably just little bit of next gen console, ps3/vita games
As much I want a Vita Slim (or even a Vita Go), it's doubtful. Brand new hardware (PS3, Vita) has always been first announced at the PlayStation Meetings. If the rumors are true, Microsoft is also expected to show its console before the E3.
It's time to save up some money before this year's holiday. I expect next gen consoles to he at least starting from $350 price tag
I wasn't trolling at all. I just putting an opinion across. Try and defend the ps vita all you like but it has been a let down for me. I don't see any games in the near future to change my mind. I enjoyed it for a while, went through the games I wanted to play, kept it for a while to see if anything changed nothing has, so I stick to my original statement. I hope you are all enjoying it as it is a good bit of kit just letdown by games and other annoyances. But it just wasn't for me. Enjoy...bye
Alright, see this is the way to do it man. You made your point and it didn't sound like trolling at all. Sorry the Vita wasn't for you though, no single electronic is for everybody. I respect your opinion.
Personally I am really happy with what we are getting this year. Soul sacrifice, killzone, tear away, and god eater 2.
http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2013/02/04/konami-teases-metal-gear-solid-peace-walker-becoming-playable-on-ps-vita-in-the-near-future/ Metal gear solid portable ops HD collection anyone?
Tomorrow, a sale on most Final Fantasy games starts on NA PSN. 50% off of all listed below: -DISSIDIA 012[duodecim] FINAL FANTASY (PSP) -DISSIDIA DUODECIM PROLOGUS FINAL FANTASY (PSP) -DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY (PSP) -FINAL FANTASY Tactics: War of Lions (PSP) -Final Fantasy Origins (I&II) (PSOne Classics) -FINAL FANTASY IV: Complete Collection (PSP) -Final Fantasy V (PSOne Classics) (currently incompatible with Vita) -Final Fantasy VI (PSOne Classics) -Final Fantasy VII (PSOne Classics) -Final Fantasy VIII (PSOne Classics) -Final Fantasy IX (PSOne Classics) All PSOne games are $5. All PSP games are $10, except FF Tactics: War of Lions at $5, and DISSIDIA 012 Prolougus at $1.50. NOTE: if you want DISSIDIA, don't get the first game. Get DISSIDIA 012- it includes the campaign of the first game as an unlock after beating 012's campaign (it's a prequel though- so you're getting the plot chronologically). The lack of FF III is kind of disappointing to me. It may actually go on sale though, as the list was inaccurate- FF I and II were listed as separate games, despite being included together in Origins. Also, NAMCO is putting some games on sale as well. Touch My Katamari (Vita) and Ridge Racer (Vita) are both on sale for $12.50 each. Soulcaliber (PSP), Tekken 6 (PSP), and Naruto Shippiden: Ultimate Ninja Impact are also on sale for $20 a piece (way over priced in my opinion). No new free games on PS+ this week, but Big Sky Infinity is discounted to $6, and Knytt Underground is discounted to $9. Both are cross buy titles.
Thanks for the list! Finally got around to getting Sine Mira and the Vita is a great system when you get a solid title that fits you (still hoping the US gets Assault Gunners).
I guess I'll finally use my second 30 day PS Plus code (from the Amazon Black Friday bundle) and get Big Sky Infinity, still unsure though. Soul Calibur BD on "sale" at $20 huh. Should've been that price to begin with. Couldn't help but laugh seeing it at $40 bucks while browsing PSP games. As for the FF games, I played only V and VII couldn't get into VII but really enjoyed V. Also I think FFV is still unplayable on the Vita in the U.S. for some reason...
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/02/04/killzone-mercenary-behind-the-scenes-interview-single-player-details/ Don't know if anyone else has read this yet. After reading it though, man my excitement level for this game just keeps on growing. I really can't wait for this game to come out in September.
I hope Metal Gear Rising eventually reaches the vita. I know they said before that they couldn't due to the limitations it would impose on zan-datsu. But I headr that they've taken a more conventional approach to the game since switching developers. I'm probably hoping in vain though -_-
Maybe. I'm not personally too fond of the direction they went with it. That, and I'm not to sure how I feel about Platinum Games involvement. At least they didn't call it MGS.
Aqua Kitty - MMD is the PSM freebie for this week. EDIT: Friendly reminder, backup your PS Vita through the Content Manager.
