tygamr - mine doesn't look like that. Wow that's bad. I probably would have just returned and got my money back.

Anyway i don't want to take the chance of getting something worse. Maybe even another dead pixel. It's not very noticeable unless im fairly close to the screen.

But yeah my dad has the samsung galaxy iii, which i believe uses an oled as well and i don't notice this on his. Of course sony could have used cheaper quality displays. I think the samsung costs much more. Anyway the 3 i looked at all had it on the vitas.

Well at least there is no backlight bleed like lcds have (well that i've seen so far...) That's a step up anyway. Colors are very nice and vibrant too. :) The black levels are great, etc.

The colors are nice, for sure. :)

Do any of you use a screen protector? I was thinking of getting the sony ones because you get two and i always mess up with applying those things. Are those good ones?

I'd definetly recommend getting one, the Vitas screen, being covered by plastic and not glass, does scratch quite easily (mine has a number of scratches already, I just don't feel like spending money on a screen protector).
The advantage of it being plastic is that it won't shatter like glass if you happen to drop your Vita.

I use Capdase protectors on both the screen and the rear touchpad. Both are anti-fingerprint.

Personally I use a Power Support iPad 3 Anti-Glare screen protector that I cut to fit the Vita. In my opinion Power Support makes the best screen protectors hands down and the feel of the Power Support Anti-Glare screen protector is indescribable, that and the fact that I never have to clean any of my screens ever. Anyway I kinda went off on a rant about how great Power Support screen protectors are but to answer your question yeah I would highly recomend getting a screen protector for your Vita.

I personally wouldn't bother with a screen protector but I do use a protective travel case when I'm not using it, so far so good also not that worried because on plastic screens unlike glass scratches can actually be fixed with a optician repair polish (at least that worked well on PSP's).

A properly fitted screen protector isn't a terrible idea but I'd rather go without than have a single bubble.

I'm not sure how good the repair polish works with this being a touchscreen though, I may have heard bad things about that long ago, can't really remember though.

Should be fine, seeing as it's capacitive. If it were resistive, then in would be an issue.

I'm not 100% sure what effect the touchscreen makes I definitely wouldn't attempt it without a scratch, but if I did have one I'd probably give it a shot albeit carefully.

Screen protectors in touchscreen devices (unfortunately) are still no-brainers to me, even being very careful with my gadgets.

It won't harm it at all. The components that make the touchscreen work (in capacitive screens at least) are behind whatever material is used as the protective cover for the screen (the part you touch).

Hi all.I have gathered $100 on Amazon.com and would like to buy some PSVita games.I already have :

    - Uncharted : GA
    - AC3 : L
    - PASBR
    - PS+ games
    - Most Wanted (need to arrive)
    - LBP Vita (need to arrive)

I want to buy at least 3-4 games if possible, and if possible I want games that are fairly easy to platinum.

Thank you very much and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Best games I played on my Vita are Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward and Persona 4 Golden, both are amongst the very best games I played this year even when compared with console titles. They are easy but very long (~40 hours for VLR, 100+ hours for P4G) to platinum. Be warned though that both are niche titles, so check first if you like this kind of games (interactive novel with puzzles and hardcore SRPGs to be more exact).

Guess I'm lucky, the store I bought my protectors at applied them for me without any bubbles.

  16. There are some crazy deals in the PS Store next week (Vita games are bolded).

Will likely grab HSG: WI at that price. Glad I passed on the Radio shack deal for $14.99 a week or so ago. Also I may get Mortal Kombat just so I have a fighting game on my Vita. But I got a feeling it may become cheaper than that... (or already has)

EDIT : Update is live now. PS3 Mortal Kombat is on sale not the Vita version...

Warrior's lair looks like it's still coming out. I am happy about this. Looks a lot more fun than Diablo to me.

Gosh that Sale is killing me! My PS3 can`t arrive soon enough. I`m so eager to finally play Journey after I have listen to the Soundtrack like a million times...
